Highmaul didn't have tier because it wasn't supposed to be a stand-alone raid. It was meant to be an introduction and hold-over to BRF, and then blizzard realized they either forgot to actually make BRF or maybe they realized they needed more than one raid tier and they boosted highmaul's ilevel and called it it's own thing.
god alliance NA can't stop rolling war resource emissaries
I'm ok with that because once my reps are all exalted I'll have little to no reason to WQ so I'd rather build up a comfortable pillow of WR to have for the remainder of the expansion, especially if high gold value missions are reintroduced at some point.
God I wanted to cock start someones forehead last night after he complained about getting 4 epic drops "only" at 340 in arathi last night. FUCK YOU BUDDY!
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
god alliance NA can't stop rolling war resource emissaries
I'm OK with that because I'm always running out of War Resources.
After doing the Arathi quests I've got a very nice surplus, but even 2,000 is gonna get drained before too long. Of course once I'm not doing the rep missions anymore, the drain will slow down. And then pick up again once they put actual gold rewards on there instead of "lol, 70 gold"
But War resources >>>> money for an emissary. I'll say that much.

Having run mythics all last week, this was me, being annoyed at all the stuff that wasn't any sort of an upgrade.
I got bracers at 360, woo!
Then immediately got the exact same bracers at 340.
It doesn't feel fun to get epics that are worthless, especially when the rest of my guild is linking all their 370 shit.
I wish we had more token systems and whatnot so these things could at least turn into something useful. Let me sell trash epics for some sort of token I can save up to buy better gear or upgrades or something.
Are the rares in Arathi Basin weekly (rather warfront cycle) loot drops, and account wide or per character?
per character, not sure on weekly or daily yet, but I'm assuming either weekly or maybe per cycle (ie, alliance hold vs horde hold) if they let us repeat all the rares.
I thought you meant story setup and I was gonna laugh. Alliance has no fucking clue why we're in there, other than purples. Literally none.
Yeah, the trash is blessedly short from what we saw, except the crap on Zul's platform. I agree, first impression is it's a pretty nice raid so far. We made it to Zul last night and got a few pulls on him before we had to call it.
For better or worse I have not been shy about stating I care little about the story, but I definitely was not talking about that whatsoever. If anything seems particularly interesting it is a bonus to me, but I don't care enough to be bothered by any of its shortcomings, which there seems to be a lot of according to most people.
Realizing that world quests only go up naturally to about 335 is a bummer. Still gonna do the item ones though, forging and all.
Yeah, the gear WQs are a great source of introductory gear but they pretty much are designed to get you into Mythic dungeon content, not replace it.
I’m at 329 iLevel now. Does that mean that I should stop running WQs for loot and focus on dungeons?
Do WQs, scrap what you don't need. Get that scrap!
I'm an Enchanter. Should I have been scrapping instead?
Depends. Blue Azerite gear you want to scrap because they break down into both Embroidered and standard Deep Sea Satins which sell for quite a bit. (~70g apiece on my server for standard Deep Sea Satin)
Purple stuff right now is best to disenchant because the Veiled Crystals are more valuable.
Actually, I missed it, were we getting the rep caches from filling your bar past Exalted back for this expansion? It was probably one of the better ideas lifted from Destiny in Legion.

First raid of each expansion has always had a tier set, up until Warlords.
Vanilla: MC - Tier 1
BC: Karazhan - Tier 4
Wrath: Naxx 2.0 - Tier 7
Cata: Bastion - Tier 11
MoP: Mogu'shan - Tier 14
WoD: Highmaul - no tier pieces
Legion: EN - no tier pieces
So it's really only a somewhat recent change that they stopped doing tier sets in the first tier of an expansion. And it's a dumb change.
Of course, BfA doesn't even have tiers because Blizzard has more developers, artists, world designers, and animators on WoW than ever before and yet they can't be assed to make tier sets anymore because of reasons.
quite sure MSV didn't drop any tier tokens, only HoF and ToES did
don't really mind it, I just see the first raid as kind of the warm up for the rest of the tier ^^

Apparently blizz just doesn't know what to put in the paragon caches yet. Right now you just cap at exalted, but I think they did say they want to do that again.
Which is just strange, to me. Not sure why you wouldn't have it on to start with.

I hear that there are post-exalted paragon chests again, but there's nothing special in them like the mounts and toys there were in legion so who cares.

I don't miss class sets as a mechanic, Blizzard's argument against them is correct, but I do miss the class based armor design. I wish they'd do like transmog only armor pieces as a separate loot table or something.
Like a boss drops three items and a shoulder transmog for a random class.

Agree with this. I am more sad about the cosmetic aspect, but actual crunch wise? I prefer this way.
Definitely feels like they felt more rushed this time. I mean, even rushed, it's pretty good, but definitely more rough edges it feels than I remember.

war resources = rep to me the more I get lets me just painlessly run every rep mission thats offered without me having to keep scavenging. The warfront resource bonanza was awesome as it let me research all the remaining outposts.
Considering Azshara is heavily rumored to be the mid tier boss and her stuff is more associated with what’s going on in Kul Tiras I wouldn’t worry too much.

If by "heavily rumored" you mean "the devs said so at Blizzcon".
If they were going to do an equivalent "alliance-focused threat" raid it would probably be....Thros? But that's also probably considered resolved already.

Its because Loh is a joke on Logo.
Logo computer programming language
Us older folks used logo to play this turtle game back in elementary school and stuff on old Macs. It is almost identical to the Loh mini-games.

Definitely not old gods or Azshara in Stormsong. There are no old gods in BFA.
Killing an old god. A different one than the Alliance has to deal with, I believe.
