It's a single person designed 16bit inspired jrpg. Biggest inspiration is Earthbound.
I only played for an hour but it's already nicely written, and it has a very unique take on classes and abilities.
You play as a kid with Imagination powers. Basically you learn to mimic some enemies as you encounter them. Your big brother has bully powers.
It has a certain dreamlike quality to it.
I get nervous for a Japanese game with "pulsating mass" in the title.
Is there a different rule number (instead of #34) for "if there isn't an adult patch for the game, there will be the next time you look"?
I finally tried out Everspace over the weekend, and this will probably be my new chill-out game during the week. Also the FTL feels are real(!).
I still haven't made it to/through a jump gate (end of a sector) successfully, but I'm enjoying how this is playing out. I also haven't made good sense of the right way to upgrade the ship/perks this early in the game, so there will be a lot of poking and prodding blindly until something feels good (hey, it's 11th grade all over again....). Beginner guides don't really help.
The key point is I'm having fun.
It's been so long since I've had a spacesim that's actually done well, I may have to (finally) install Elite: Dangerous for longer form content.
I finished another game! Injustice: Gods Among Us was pretty sweet. I suck at fighting games, so I only played it on easy. But, as a superhero fan, the game was just beautiful! The models were fantastic, the moves looked great, especially the ultimate moves! Not only that, the story was actually quite good! I'll have to go back from time to time just to see the ultimate moves. Thanks again to @akajaybay for the game!
I'm so disappointed in the mess of pricing structure Injustice 2 came with.

This was made in the US, but it's heavily reliant on jrpgs so I went with that for the description. (I did doubt wether to call it that....)
It's 2007 again and all I can do is mod Oblivion, think about modding Oblivion, talk about modding Oblivion, and occasionally actually play Oblivion.
(PS: This game, modded up, still looks really freaking good. Especially for its age.)
That reminds me that I need to pick up my Oblivion playthrough. Mine was modded to the point my reasonably modern system with a 970 could just barely play it comfortably. Unfortunately, when the spectre/meltdown patches came out Oblivion was pushed past the comfortable point. I suppose I'll have to try demodding it before trying again.
I think that the internet has been for years on the path to creating what is essentially an electronic Necronomicon: A collection of blasphemous unrealities so perverse that to even glimpse at its contents, if but for a moment, is to irrevocably forfeit a portion of your sanity.

At one point over the weekend, I was getting 15 fps in places... with a 1080. I may have modded it to the very edge of breaking...
(actually, I'm pretty sure the fps issues have way more to do with pushing the game engine to its absolute limit than any actual strain on my hardware)

You mean you modded it so much it came full circle? :-p
So I'm still playing Final Fantasy 14, but the plan it to put that back on hiatus shortly, I may try and juggle it in the background but I've never been good at that. There's some PS4 games I want to play in the next couple weeks. Yakuza Kiwami 2 and Spider-Man. Plus I'm still sitting on an unplayed Banner Saga 3 for Steam.
My plate is more than full.

At this point, I'm holding Battle Royale games to the same standard I hold Minecraft-likes: I promise not to roll my eyes if you can do something interesting with the concept.

Oh? Hmm, I'll need to look into it myself. I'd eventually be interested in 2 seeing how enjoyable 1 was.
I'm hoping you can like emote or certain interactions let you see your character occasionally. But yeah now that I've seen it I can't imagine the game not being first person
@Big Classy is tricksy and not to be trusted with wishlists....
thank you for Crash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy, these games consumed a good chunk of my time on PSX
I'm light years away from playing it, but I would find it hilarious to play a character looking like Maisie Williams with a list of dead enemies almost as long as her list of lovers.

Hoi boys and girls. I got my next Twitch Bounty, it's for Battletech. It's been a game that I was looking forward to but just sort of forgot about as release got closer and closer. I know it's popular around these parts because MECHS. As far as I know, I believe you can create your own team of mechs, so I'd like volunteers from the thread and I'll try to do my best to recreate the mechs based on avatar palette and style if customization allows.

@Big Classy strikes when least expected! Like some kind of Ninja or Japanese gangster or something!
Thank you for Yakuza 0 dude! I have never played a Yakuza game before but people keep saying they are really good!
You really didn't have to do that! I hope you can get all the bs sorted so you can maybe relax a little
Donut County is a story-based physics puzzle game where you play as an ever-growing hole in the ground. Meet cute characters, steal their trash, and throw them in a hole.

But I just learned that this is a thing that exists and it's out real soon. On Steam as well.

They are not. And hearing it's from the Depth devs just makes me sad. I found the game listing earlier today and was making fun of it in chat.
On the other hand, this looks adorably charming.

Is this basically gonna require a Steam Link to play?
the real ending...
and then Title screen.
This game looks awesome.
I was worried about how the character creator work in a first person game, but it's good to see you still get to see your character in cut scenes.

OOH! PICK ME!
(I actually don't remember if the game lets you customize anything after your own starting character, but hey, sign me up if you can!)
I'm ready. Put me in Coach!
Pixie, you can customize mech paintjobs (to a limited extent. I don't think even you could lose hours on it. )
