We also finished up Disenchantment and I think it definitely got better as it progressed and the final episode was like 80% plot 20% jokes and I really enjoyed it
Castle Rock has been good, with a couple standout moments and one really good episode, but I genuinely don't know where these last three episodes are going to go or how they're going to get there, and I'm not sure if that's a bug or a feature. I think they can address all the necessary backstory in one episode, I just don't know how they're gonna wrap up the modern day plot
Especially since I'm not 100% sure what the modern day plot is, given that the Dever family's story and what's going on with the Kid don't seem to have much overlap, yet, aside from the latest episode
Anyways, some thoughts on the most latest episode:
That episode is tremendous, and however this season ends, I think it justifies the whole endeavor. I genuinely didn't know where anything was going until we got to the end, and even then, I didn't know who she shot other than it was definitely not the Kid. For a moment I was sure it was going to be Henry's son, and when they cut to Alan on the floor...god. And that closing scene was perfect.
ultimately, I'm just incredibly glad they had something worthy of Sissy Spacek

Disenchantment is thoroughly mediocre throughout but definitely is better in the last three episodes. I probably would have stopped watching it if I didn't have an endless appetite for shows to watch while painting
My biggest gripe and I wonder if it was a mandate from Netflix is that they kinda unload stuff in the last 3 that should have been mentioned throughtout the season. Like I cant argue the pacing is off
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.
One of my favorite things about a musical is that by adding a song to a monster person it suddenly becomes very apparent how fiendish they truly are within the story.
jimmy dean how much do you relate to the baby merchant
be honest
I evoke the fifth.
The Fifth Amendment is not an emotion that can be evoked; the verb you are looking for is invoke.
Unless you are referring to a fifth of vodka, which you have used to replace all of your human emotions, which of course you have and of course that is what you meant I should have known better.

Does Nathan Fillion sing and dance?
-Indiana Solo, runner of blades
But is it a sandwich?
For some reason I keep watching this show and it is getting better by ceasing to hing itself on tired joke formulas but it just feels so tired.

nobody sells babies in castle rock, at least, not this season

something something Texas Mickey
in episode eight, a shitty cop sings a song literally titled "i'm not racist, but..."
I think it's a curse, idk.
boy that closing line fucking cuts real deep
the show embraces the fact that it's characters are deeply flawed
also the main character is a constant fucking dweebo loser that occasionally succeeds almost entirely by persistence and also kinda sorta time-fuckery
