Is there a good source for books and short stories that have gone public domain, and are now available online? It doesn't particularly matter what kind, science fiction would work well, but I read a wide variety of things.

The Baen Free Library has a fair bit of stuff - it isn't public domain, but it's free and legal, and they add new things on a semi-regular basis.

Wikisource has a lot of books, and is from what I've seen reliable.
