I ran some crucible with Hard Light last night to knock out my elemental kills and let me just say, I was really surprised at how effective I was with that gun.
People should try it out. I was expecting it to suck but it was shredding people
The thingy to get a new subclass from Blind Well seems frustratingly rare. I was doing rank 2's for quite awhile last night and never saw one. Didn't see anyone get one, but I'm not sure if the other players had already gotten one and/or if there's only one you can get from the event and the 3rd comes from somewhere else.
I'm kinda regretting not getting the solar subclass unlock for Warlock. The Arc one is still really good and fun to play, but that solar one man. I needs it

I saw one guy get one the first time I did Tier 2 successfully and then nobody else. The interwebs claim you can only get one that way, so the 3rd is some as-yet-unknown method.

speaking of, and I'm sure it's been mentioned already: if you're working on the elemental kill part of the Chaperone quest, just focus on one element at a time. Get it to 100% and it locks. If you try to do them all, you're more likely to lose progress on any given one, but if you just go hard on one it's pretty easy to cap it, then move to the next.
It isn't nearly as rough as the D1 version. It's super forgiving. I only noticed actual losses when I was spreading out my elements.

Oh man, I haven't even thought about what subclass I want to get for hunter/warlock.
For Titan I have zero regrets going arc.
The dive bomb melee with skullfort is just so unbelievably fun and effective, I can't imagine any of the other new ones for Titan are nearly as enjoyable.

I recommend doing Solar first for Hunter. I went arc first and it's not really different enough from standard arcstrider to be all that interesting. I got a seed of light yesterday and immediately unlocked Solar and it is a fun super to use and from what I've seen the throwing knives melee is quite powerful as well and synergises well with the rest of the abilities.

I think Solar is really good for endgame group content, but less good for soloing. I'm still undecided on it in crucible. The few times I made good use of it, I was practically invincible to small arms fire while in it. But considering most people have a strong special weapon, its less useful than a bubble for defense. Its basically a more offensively strong but defensively weak titan bubble.

You can only unlock one extra subclass per character? Or is it just the cost of gathering increases a lot?

Unlocking the other subclasses right now is very RNG dependent and requires
beating Blind Well Tier 2
(not easy outside of a large group) over and over until it drops a Seed of Light. One guy on reddit reportedly didn't get a Seed of Light until almost 13 hours worth of grinding it. I got one within the first hour or two of doing it on my warlock. And my hunter got one within the first hour or two as well. I have no anecdotal evidence of if it takes longer or not to get the final subclass unlocked that way as well.
Once we can do the
Blind Well Tier 3
, it should be easier to unlock. Word is that is guaranteed to drop a Seed of Light.
If you don't hit the special spoilers item lotto the rewards aren't much. I've occasionally gotten a queensfoil potion out of it but otherwise it's blues and shards.
There are a few bounties that key off Blind Well, though, which can get you better stuff so I guess that's the angle they went with for rewards.
Wait, Seeds of Light are like EP weapons rare? Oof. I guess I used all my RNG luck for the expansion and now will never get Lord of Wolves.
Also also - are there steps for some of these exotic quests or also just more RNG?

They actually seem super common. What I suspect is happening is that you can't earn a Seed until you've completed your subclass (all new nodes unlocked and purchased). So the people that are not getting one in many runs probably haven't finished that, and possibly unlock it during their Well runs and then get the drop.
What Light level are y'all at to in order to do Blind Well? Most things in the Dreaming City are one-shotting me before I even travel there.
A bit above 500. Be careful of armors with Riven's Curse mods on it which makes you deal more damage but also means you take more damage in the dreaming city.
Prime Engrams: An exploit was discovered this weekend where players could earn Prime Engrams at a rapid pace using the Prime Attunement buff. At this time, Prime Engrams are designed to grant small power gains over time. Acquiring large amounts of Prime Engrams in a short timeframe reduces the frequency in which you earn Prime Engrams as you continue to play the game. Some players who have used this exploit heavily may find that Prime Engrams will not appear for the next two to three weeks.
As such, this will provide a very small short-term gain for those using this exploit, but have negative long-term effects for a player’s power progression. We are investigating a fix for this exploit. In the meantime, we highly recommend that players do not use this exploit.
Players who are earning Prime Engrams while playing through the game naturally will not be impacted by this issue in any form.
I did a tier 3. Got a seed. Can now throw fire daggers.
But before that I ran too many tier 2s with no seed.
I’m going to be trying the NF like midnight central tonight if anyone us down,
Also anyone on ps4 wanna try Comp? Me and my buddy are gunna dive in this week and plan on LFG but clan mates work better!
How hard was the Tier 3 compared to the Tier 2?
The bosses weren’t much worse tbh. We had 8 dudes and telesto was being used so I can’t speak to the waves
Also I feel like I got carried on bosses because I was spending way too much just trying to pop heads to trigger my melee debuff. So I’m not sure I carried my weight. (Then again that debuff is huge...)

I'm currently 520 but I'd say 510 is reasonable for up to Tier 2. Even at 520 you'll die in one hit to exploding screebs in Tier 2 and it'll take a fair number of bullets to kill things but me and another guy managed to two-man a Tier 2 from start to the boss phase while I was in the upper 510's. For a realistic shot at finishing a Tier 2 I'd say you need at least 4 people around 510-520. Five or six people make it pretty easy.
I'd guess the dudes in Strand public events are probably about the same level as Tier 2 dudes, so if you can kill them you should be good.

Is Tier 3 three bosses instead of two? Do they spawn in the big circle area?
With 6 people in the range of 510 - 525, Tier 3 felt manageable, but we ran out of time on the bosses as it can be hard to get Harmony and stay alive long enough to bring down the shield.
Generally speaking, success (at lower light) in Blind Well feels dependent on good subclass selection. My ideal team would contain: Melting Point Sunbro, New-Tree Sentinel, New-Tree Dawnblade, Rig-Wearing Nightstalker, and Arcstrider to stunlock bosses.
Hey so if my friend purchases the bundle CoO+WM+Forsaken, will he have the option to level up any of his currently lvl 20 classes? Or does he have to level up one character the normal way first before he can quick-levelup his other toons?
Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

Apparently the exploit was a rather deliberate action. It was farming a very specific lost sector and leaving prime engrams on the floor and redoing the lost sector. Reddit though so who knows.
I had two characters who had not finished all of the story stuff before Forsaken; my Titan who had beaten the main story and started CoO, and my Warlock who had only barely started the campaign. It would only allow me to apply to the Warlock, I assume because either I finished the story had started the DLC
I'm not sure if you need to have one character up to date to use it, it appeared as a Blue Up Arrow next to my character on the class selct screen.
Does beating Leviathan give you the clan raid engram anymore?
Yes. Our clan did a quick normal one to get it.
What comes out of the clan raid engram?
Not raid gear. It was an upgrade for me at the time but I was well below 500 at the time so I'm not sure if it's actually a powerful gear reward or just legendary.

I had heard it was just not picking up the prime engram so it went to the post master would leave the attunement buff around. That could be very bad news as I think the light level is locked on being sent to the Post, so they've got dozens of all the same light level stuff in exchange for none for several weeks later.
I suppose if they ground all the way up it doesn't really matter to them.

Also it’s fun bouncing a big boi around with fire tornados but pretty often it fucks up your deeps

Don't put in a fucking bounty to do something with gear you don't give the players access to. Holy fucking shit this is infuriating.

Do the first Forsaken campaign mission to get the Visions of Light milestone.
I suggest then hitting up the EDZ and doing a Glimmer Extraction Event. I got over 50% completion on the vision milestone from just 1 heroic event.
And then it's like another 10-15 minutes for the quest itself on Io and you are done.
I've been getting my unlocks out of the way on all 3 characters so hopefully I can be working on 2 of them for my non-main-class next week.
That sounds like the you ran out of time 'completion'
