I gave the brawl a shot tonight. Got it on my third attempt. It is such an RNG fuckfest. Even if you get a partner who has a reasonable idea of how to play, you can still just autolose if Mechazod decides to power up fast and spam Double Zap like crazy. My first two games, I wondered how I might possibly have been able to do anything better. Then in my third game he randomly decided not to blast out mass, unavoidable face damage before turn 10 and we won it handily.
I've actually never had any luck re-rolling quests. I blame a random religion. And if you don't like the one I roll, too bad, because a re-roll is apparently fucking pointless.
Undatakah's deathrattles are considered enchantments. If you give him Immortal Prelate deathrattle then he will still have his deathrattles and other enchantments when drawn again and can accrue 3 more. Combining that with hexproof from Lich King's AMS could be a legit wincon. Buff Paladin is actually here and it wasn't Galvadon or Lynessa that did it.
If we had a sideboard they could stop printing them and print real tech. You wouldn't need your tech to autowin and make up for being useless otherwise.
Part of me wonders if they print enough cards per set for that. I dunno. I just am getting spoiled.

I'm not at all a fan of sideboards, and in Hearthstone I'd prefer to see people play a different deck each game. One thing that I'd love to see: Wild being brought into the tournament mode.
Something like everyone brings three Standard decks and two Wild decks, all different classes, with one ban. Win or lose, you cannot use a deck twice in a series. Three game series. The first two games are in Standard; game three is in Wild.
Civics is not a consumer product that you can ignore because you don’t like the options presented.
Standard and Wild are probably really distinct in playstyle too, that it might be asking too much of a pro player. Plus, unless they're already mega-rich, how are they going to afford the $1,000 it'll take to have all the Wild cards?
It’s another Kobalds and Catacombs. A lot of very fun stuff, a lot of stuff that opens up new archetypes, and a lot of OP cards that we’re going to be looking at in four months going “thank god it’s only in standard for a year.”
I think that if you think K&C was good overall, you’ll probably think that this is a good set. If you don’t like how K&C warps the meta, you’ll probably dislike this set, once you get to know it.

The big problem is this set is just going to further strengthen even and odd decks by increasing their cardpool. So long as they are in the game the meta is going to be stale.

This, but I'll also add that this set will never be able to shine away from Baku/Genn horseshit since they'll rotate at the same time, too. But if they stick to this design direction next year, I think things will be better for the game in general.

I know this is super old content for most of you, but I am loving Dungeon Run.
I've cleared it with Paladin, Druid, and Mage. Paladin took me a bit and I can't even remember how I beat it. Druid was on my first attempt as I went all Jade and just steamrolled. Mage took me forever. I had a few great decks get wrecked by the Darkness. I had an absolutely amazing deck (with stealthed minions, increased spell damage, lots of spell reducing stuff and animated armor) get killed by Xol because I drew absolutely horrible. I finally just cleared it today with a pure spell deck after coming up against The Darkness. Felt so good.
The main reason for this post, though, is that I'm doing my first Rogue attempt and its beyond hilarious. My first treasure was "5+ minions cost 5" so I grabbed Cthun with my first set. I've been offered Cthun in every set so far and just got the "double deathrattle" treasure. Its cracking me up having a 16/16 Cthun dropped on turn 5 and watch it double battlecry and just end these bosses. Love it so much.

I ended up with a Dungeon Run quest yesterday, which, since I'm still missing a good share of Classic cards, I just do, and don't re-roll. Which then caused me to play a few more Dungeon runs because fuck are they fun.
I have way more fun with them than I do Monster Hunts.

When choosing a minion to Transform into, these cards now show the minions the card can become. Affected cards include: Shellshifter, Druid of the Claw, Druid of the Flame, Druid of the Saber, Druid of the Scythe, and Druid of the Swarm.
Rank 20 Floor
Players that achieve Rank 15 or higher during their Hearthstone career can no longer fall below Rank 20. This should ensure better matches for rank 20 to rank 25 players.
I approve these changes. QoL for Choose One effects and a safer introductory space for newer players.

IMO, the floor bit should be further enhanced, so that anyone who gets past rank 5 can't go above rank 15, and people who get Legend can't go above rank 10.

Ranked mode in general needs a larger overhaul than just, add more levels for noobs to climb through.

there's still a part of me that worries it'll just be another boomsday and not really change anything too much
that the new deck archetypes won't be good enough, or just that the older sets are still way too good, etc etc
we'll seeeeeeeeee
