Going through some backlog of DC universe, whats between Sinestro Corps War and Blackest Night where it introduces all the spectrum corps? I can't seem to find the starting point/comic line for those
Really just Green Lantern and its various sister books like GLC
Green Lantern was DC's flagship title for a while there, which is nuts
Like every other initiative, DC Universe is being reevaluated following the completion of AT&T acquisition of Time Warner as WarnerMedia has put an emphasis on the launch of a new streaming platform. There have been questions how DC Universe fits into those plans.
Swamp Thing is great, put it on HBO. Doom Patrol is amazing. Double its budget and put it on HBO. Heck, put Young Justice on HBO too.

How are they going to have room with all the GoT spinoffs and that Confederacy show?

Batman vs Ninja Turtles is the best animated movie from DC for a long damn time. The Shredder vs Batman fights are incredibly done. Its clear that everyone involved knew exactly what kind of movie they were making, and it learned we hard into how goofy the whole thing was.
Unsurprising given the first issue of DCeased was the top selling book last month, DC is expanding the book and has announced the first of likely several one-shot specials.
DCeased: A Good Day to Die by Tom Taylor and Darrick Robertson stars Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Mr. Miracle, Big Barda and John Constantine embarking on a suicide mission to try and stop the Anti-Life virus infecting the world.

I'm all for Tom Taylor getting his due with a #1 book
Whoa, and in much better (and more surprising in today's market) news: Wonder Twins and Dial H for Hero have had their runs doubled, making both 12 issues vs. the previous 6.
That rules because both books are great

Syfy announced a spinoff of Krypton featuring Lobo is in development. Emmett J Scanlan, who plays the character in Krypton's second season (premiering tonight), will reprise the role
Oh hell yes, Steve Orlando, with Amancay Naheulpan on art, has a new book announced:
GOTHAM CITY MONSTERS
With SHADE destroyed in Event Leviathan, Frankenstein is a free agent with no resources and recruits a new team to help him fight off a multiversal incursion in Gotham City. He is joined by Andrew Bennett, Orca, Lady Clayface and Killer Croc.

Simon Dark is real mad he didn't get the call on that one
That looks awesome, but
1) I didn't know that Lady Clayface is a character. Is she new for this series, or did she appear somewhere already?
2) I'd be pretty OK with no more characters named "Lady [Name Of Established Male Character]" or "She-[Name Of Established Male Character]" or "[Name Of Established Male Character]ette" or other such variants.
Meanwhile, it's unclear how DC Universe's scripted originals will fit in with parent WarnerMedia's streaming platform when that launches in beta this year as the three executives (Kevin Tsujihara, Diane Nelson and Craig Hunegs) who were instrumental in its creation are no longer with the company. DCU next has live-action drama Stargirl (pushed from October to 2020) and animated entry Harley Quinn.
Sources say DCU fare could be folded into the WarnerMedia service, remain exclusive to its own platform, or employ a windowing strategy between the two brands.
DCU executives, for their part, have yet to receive clarity on how the dueling platforms could co-exist, something Wan alluded in a June 10 Instagram post: "Don't really know or understand why #SwampThing was canceled."
Sources say the timing of the cancellation was spurred by the studio's decision to bypass paying millions to store the show's physical sets in North Carolina. That decision led to the cancellation leak. Contrary to some early unconfirmed reports, tax incentives had nothing to do with the sudden cancellation as Swamp Thing was awarded $5 million in incentives for the pilot and an additional $12 million for the remainder of the season. "We are as disheartened as others are to learn of the cancellation as the series did provide job opportunities in our state for our highly skilled film workforce," North Carolina Film Office director Guy Gaster told THR.
Event Leviathan #1 was a little disappointing, as a large chunk of it was just reiterating what happened in Action Comics but I also get wanting to set the table for folks who may not be reading that book given it is attracting, hypothetically, bigger audiences.
But the character work was good and my biggest takeaway was that I would love a Green Arrow book by Bendis cause he writes a really good Oliver Queen.

I feel like I can hear Kevin Conroy in that Batman.

Apparently #DCMillennium is also involving those LoSH teases
It's OMAC!
(And, just like the original, got cancelled after only 8 crazy issues.)

I wouldn't be surprised if he is the one taking over Batman after King, it is long overdue for him to get a huge high profile ongoing
The biggest he has had is probably the current Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man book which is great but also clearly the B-tier Spider-Book to ASM
Uncanny X-Men, sure, but Red was the third X-Men ongoing and was never given a chance to run
Your top books are gonna be, like, Batman, Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, Justice League, etc.

LoSH, Batman Beyond and OMAC?
You have my interest
MASK OF THE PHANTASM TIME BAYBEE
as I recall that came first, and inspired the animated character
Boo its by fucking Scott Lobdell and Brett Booth
why do you keep going back to that creative team, DC
God dammit you can't use a beautiful Doc Shaner cover for a book with that creative team that should be illegal
That rules because both books are great
Also known as the "Reverse Marvel'ing"
JSA is officially returning to the DCU in Justice League #31, as well as Kamandi as part of the big build up in Snyder's run.
The last issue made it seem like the Justice League would be recruiting heroes from across time and reality and it looks like they aren't kidding
