Legion of Superheroes: Millennium by Brian Bendis and a whole squad of artists including Ryan Sook, Jim Cheung, Nicola Scott and more.
A "familiar" DC character finds herself granted with immortality and the 2-issue oversized Millennium series will follow her through the thousand years between the present and the future of the DCU, carrying her through various characters and settings like Booster Gold, OMAC and Batman Beyond leading to a new LoSH ongoing launching later this year from Bendis and Sook
He says it is a character he is currently writing in another book but that she is someone who has been set up to be able to make this journey and that he isn't going to "ruin anyone's favorite character"
It might be Lois but it would be a bit weird to be doing this with her right alongside her first solo book in decades
Bendis' interview is really good and lays out how big of a deal this is for him:
He has been working on his Legion plans since day one of starting with DC, because he is aware of how massive an undertaking it is and wanted to be as prepared as possible.
The Millenium 2-parter is designed to provide as clean of an entry point for new fans while also showing the journey the DCU goes through that leads to the Legion forming.
Bendis feels that while the LoSH is beloved by a lot of comics fans and has some of the most acclaimed runs of all time, the book is considered really inaccessible by a lot of readers and often feels very detached from the DCU as a setting. The goals for this run are to do entirely new stuff, not homaging or riffing on previous LoSH runs and to provide an accessible, while still huge in scope, jumping on point for new and existing fans that shows why the Legion is such a major part of DC History and the universe as a whole.
Bendis didn't give a ton of story details but said that his Legion will be forming due to a sense of "dire necessity" and the feeling that if the universe doesn't have another Age of Heroes, it won't be around much longer.
The interview also included some looks at Saturn Girl's design, Nicola Scott's art from the Booster Gold chapter of Millennium and Andrea Sorrentino's from the Kamandi chapter.
Is Tom King's Action Comics 1000 story in "continuity"? Superman mentions her as still being around in that story.

Yeah, King's Action 1000 story mentioned Superman making a formula that kept Lois basically immortal so she could stay with him and Jon, although Superman mentioned he was running out of the stuff, I think?
Really like that Saturn Girl design. I will check Legion out (big Legion fan, but the things I like about it are not always the things the writer like about it.)

Yeah, it has been for like the last two series, I think
Apparently this is the week everything gets announced because 2 more Year of the Villain one shots got announced, Lex Luthor and The Riddler.
Lex is by Jason Latour and Bryan Hitch and has Lex gathering the Lex Luthors of the Multiverse in order to kill them all so that he will be the Last Lex Standing, The One style.
The Riddler by Mark Russell and Scott Godlewski has Riddler realizing he is one of the villains who didn't get a power-up offer from Lex and is very offended by it.

I need it to be like one of those high-end birthday cards that plays music when you open it.
And the news just keeps on coming, as Tom King did an interview with EW and confirmed Batman and Catwoman are reuniting in Batman #75.
Bane breaks Bruce and runs him out of Gotham, which leaves Bruce trying to rebuild himself and failing at every turn, hitting rock bottom. And that's when Selena finds him.
King also clarifies that his run being shortened and changed to Batman/Catwoman was done to assist his schedule (he is working on the New Gods movie, a TV project and a new book with Mitch Gerads besides Batman stuff), as a monthly book is much easier than a bi-monthly one.
He also reaffirmed that Batman/Catwoman is still following his planned ending for the run, and that Clay Mann was already planned to draw it. The only changes are a few issues of length and it being a standalone mini.

I'm always a little bummed that they've had so much trouble making Legion of Superheroes for such a long time. The silver age LoSH, alongside like Superboy, were some of the first comics I ever read and I loved the shit out of them. Here's hoping this one sticks.

I'm not a fan of those LoSH haircuts, or Cosmic Boy's costume. Its about time Saturn Girl had something new that wasn't a bikini.
The only haircut I don't like is Lightning Lad, a buzz-mohawk-mullet is a CHOICE, but depending on how Bendis handles him I can see it feeling appropriate. He is usually the most rash and reckless of the Big Legionnaires (at least in the runs I've read) so I can see him being more of a meathead

It reminds me of those body suits they make for science to show off organs and such.

But the music needs to be nu metal.

I really like Chameleon Boy here.

His butt is on point because he is one of Nicola Scott's favorite characters so she made him beefcakey as hell
