WHAT DOES IT MEAN?! There's a Mary and a Harry and 4 As and it maybe spells out ENDGAME?
Who is that in the chair?
Is there literally nothing in the picture and they're just fucking with us?

I thought the CM trailer was muddled and didn't tell me anything about the character or her powers, it seemed completely reliant on the Marvel brand
Also the elderly woman being hit is like, lol and not in a good way

The Captain Marvel trailer looked CGI-y and disconnected from actual stakes and action. It looked like a DC movie trailer. I did not like it. I would sum it up as "Oh look, she's glowing! And her hands are glowing! Her face looks strained because of the glowing!"

yeah, like, as a dude who's never read the comics I'm not sure what I'm supposed to care about here
ok Captain Marvel is an alien with some memory problems, that's... not exactly a fresh plot
also it's like 90's! 90's! 90's! which to me just says "not connected to the current metaplot"
as far as what her powers are it seems to be... generic superhuman?

Elderly woman being hit is hilarious and clearly on purpose to drive speculation and meme press.
Also totally a Skrull.
Yes these are all obvious things about the scene; it just felt dumb to me
Not to mention the entire Skrull fiasco is something I didn't want to see cross over from comics, along with resurrection, because of how cheap cloning is to a story, but I guess we're all beholden to what a cabal of nerds decided back in the 70s for the next twenty years of blockbuster movies

Most of the Marvel trailers have been good about explaining the movies own particular voice and personality. Capt marvel doesn't really seem like it does that, and that concerns me a bit.
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.

Now can you spot the Howard the Duck cameo because Howard will have an outsized role in fending off the Marvel Zombies on Earth 616.

I feel like this is the same discussion that occurs every single time a teaser for any movie comes out, and it's never been accurate, so I'll just roll with it.

Went to couples therapy today, we're both asked for our medical histories and my wife reels off her list of mental health conditions
Therapist pushes up her glasses and replies "Well, that is certainly a... challenging combination"
Which probably wasn't a great thing for her to say, but God damn did it feel relieving to hear a neutral third party say it out loud
:bro:
When I was with Nargirl, I attended a fair number of counseling sessions with her. She was diagnosed with both Oppositional Defiance Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder. And there was no way to tip-toe around it - that WAS a challenging combination, and everyone involved needed to be aware that it was a challenging combination!

Marvel has done a good job with their trailers (and this is a trailer, not a teaser) so as Kana said, it's concerning that they don't seem to have a discernible tone or theme or even an obvious story hook
I know a little about CM and right now it just looks like a cheap Green Lantern DC cgi-fest

for the first minute I mostly wondering about who owns the Blockbuster brand now and how that negotiation went. "Hey we'll give you you $40 and a best buy gift card for the rights to use Blockbuster in our movie. Say no I dare you."

Gwent does indeed only allow you 4 gold cards and six silver cards. Or did, dunno if they changed it.
In magic, no, EXCEPT Vintage where certain cards are restricted to 1 per deck maximum. @Aioua
Multiple diagnosed personality disorders? That's quite a lot.
