I think without fail means it works every time on non-boss enemies, but bosses have special extra resistances. Usually fire bosses can be frozen though I think?
She's been freezing basically every flavor of boss with an extremely high success rate.
Edit :
Imperial onslaught is obnoxious to try to solo. Massive arrays of purple AOE's that hit for a ton. I can dodge them but my bots stand in them, and I can't even I-frame through them because they're purple. Co-oping is painful because the wing drought is intense and using stamina to host takes an eternity.

You can use a skill activation to i-frame through them, and then your bots won't take damage.
edit: waited six minutes for players, then a bunch of 6k mixed element teams showed up, drove off everyone good, and we lost with 10% health remaining.
this system is awful and has terrible, terrible flaws.
what? no it still costs wings, if you don't have enough and you try to play again it pops up a window to buy more wings with wyrmite/diamantium/use a restore item options. Were you maybe the host? If you're the host it costs stamina instead.
The daily rolls might be a better value than I'd anticipated since for some dumb reason I got in my head that a regular single summon was 50 wyrmite and not 150 wyrmite. That looks a lot more appealing now, although I suspect that its value will mostly come from collecting eldwater from duplicate adventurers.
You can start charging force strikes during the recovery frames of certain attacks. Precisely when differs between weapons, but the full DPS rotation for katannas is 4 hits, pause for the sparkle, fifth hit and then force strike.
Most things don't have enough HP to survive that, so normally in dungeons I will chain a force strike off of a basic attack to catapult myself across the room to close the distance to the next set of mobs. I also like opening boss fights by force striking into their adds and then transforming.
How are you guys organizing your castle? So far I have significantly more building space than structures to build.
So far my mines are concentrated in the north next to the forge, and the drsgonfruit tree is across the path. My five elemental shrines fit together nicely in the south in the segment that opened up with castle level 4, and my wind dracolith is just sitting on a random plot of land that I gave no thought to. I'll probably reorganize that once I unlock the other dracoliths and the dojos.
Just did the Special raid for the first time. Holy shit, 47 gold emblems from one fight? And I can just keep co-oping it and it doesn't go away until I host and clear? Well I know what I'm doing now!
My water team is at 4.9k power. I've just been having them run Assault on Archeole: Beginner on autopilot to farm Blazon summons and get friendship with Celliera. This feels awful and I'm not having fun, so I assume I'm not doing it right. It seems bizarre to have a 6k power gap between the boss and the raid. Is there another difficulty level on the boss I've missed somehow?

How much harder is it than expert? Or is it basically the same?

It's stronger and the attack patterns are changed up a bit

Yeah, he starts off with placing fire pools, then he does his charge, then triple fireball, and goes into Overdrive a lot easier so there's volcanoes quicker. And you have to get the tail off ASAP because if he gets one spin with it it's pretty much game over.
Also I thought Hawk had some major range but Lily can shoot clear across the arena and her shots home in on the target.

Nope, go do the raid. The power gap is only large because you and three friends are all bringing full teams.

You should definitely be running standard on the raid at 4.9 might. I started at 4.5 and am now 5.8 so I probably won’t get to the expert raid, but I’m ok with that.

The suggested might level for the raid is for the sum total of the raid group. You only need to provide 1/4 of the suggested raid might to be "pulling your weight."
If you have a mono-water team at ~5k power, then you're good enough to be fighting the standard raid. IMO 6k mono-water is acceptable for expert level. Mid-to high 5k for expert if your team is pretty min-maxed, however you will run into hosts reluctant to fire the event at expert with might below 6k. Make sure that you run that Paladyn defender wyrmprint since the 20% damage boost is better than anything else that you could run in the slot.
Got Pele from my Blazon Summon about halfway through the contents list, it's better to reset for more Pele instead of waiting for the Wyrmprint, right? Like, after this raid is over, the Wyrmprint won't be very good except for cashing in for Eldwater.

Unless this ends up being a recurring event, in which case it will probably be useful to have a bunch of copies of the wyrmprint in storage. The gold medal rewards do keep progressing up into the several thousand mark, and there is an achievement for defeating the extra difficulty mode in under 60 seconds.

I seriously doubt I will get to the point where I can tackle Extra Difficulty in under 60 seconds, that just seems unattainable to me. I'm firmly in Standard and will be happy if I can clear Expert by the end of the event.
If you just want to max out Pele, then resetting now is a valid choice. I just wanted to present how the wyrmprints might not be trash once this event ends. The damage bonus from them is extremely substantial, and by the time that the event potentially recurs then you will likely be higher level and will want to quickly jump into the higher difficulties to rake in the rewards fastest.
i already have 5 of the wyrmprint, and i'm going to foolishly merge them after the event to make an okay wyrmprint for other scenarios.
i'm not gonna chase more for multiples, in case it doesn't recur, but if i get them, i get them, i suppose.
8 would be good, one max unbound and three copies for the other party members.
meanwhile, after 950 draws i'm excited to finally get my third Pele... from the silver emblem reward.
only two to go! then i can focus on grinding imperial assault...
EDIT: not 50 draws later, Pele #4. it finally equalized!

I thought for sure the event ended today so I'd been farming Pele hard. Turns out we have a whole extra week. Well, at least I have my full Pele.
Hah... that would fix many of the issues with them, but...

I built some flowers. They're pretty.
I should be able to build more than six.
So placement isn't really important at all
