So according to the internet (so grain of salt and all that), some people are being reported/banned by Blizzard for doing Warmode PVP with the Hivemind mount because it goes so fast when you have 5 people in it
people are going to report everything under the sun, but I highly doubt Blizzard has banned anyone for what isn't in any way an exploit of game mechanics
I think they said the ban was for "Disruptive Gameplay" my guess is they may have been, possibly not intentionally, camping one or more people. Though I feel like if you have Warmode on you don't have a right to report that sort of thing
if they were gonna ban people for working-as-intended hivemind roving murder parties they probably would have banned the regular kind of murder parties a long time ago

We would not find actions, such as taking over a flight point or quest hub, to be actionable offenses. Players have the option of disabling War Mode or organizing a counter attack with their own faction to retake the area.
What you were suspended for was ongoing targeted harassment of others. We investigated a report we received and were able to verify that, after being placed on ignore, you continued to harass another player through in-game mail using multiple characters on your account. Your messages were not limited to a single person; you harassed other associates of this player with unsolicited mail. We provide a number of tools to allow players to moderate their own social experiences in-game. Bypassing this feature to continue unwanted interactions constitutes disruptive gameplay and will result in account action, including silencing or suspension from the game.
I hope this helps to clarify the reason for this penalty. I suggest that in the future if someone places you on ignore that you do not try to contact them either directly or through their associates.

This reminds me of the new fun thing I do anytime I’m on my alliance alt on Proudmoore. Trade chat has taken to discussing politics pretty frequently lately, by which of course I mean it’s a few right wing nutjobs spouting awful garbage. yeah and I bet sylvannas is just pretending to be evil and is actually completely justified and not going to be a raid boss too
She's a raid boss but regains her "senses" at 1 hp, then the whole raid gets stunned for 5 minutes for an in-game cutscene revealing that whatever possessed her is the real final raid boss.
Then in the next expansions, Sylvanas is just warchief again and nobody remembers any of this shit happening.

There's another follow-up from the OP with a lot of screenshots showing that things weren't quite as one sided and it appears as though the ban was more of harassers using the system against the person they were slinging racial slurs at. Think twitter banning someone for responding to a Nazi who baits them with deniable comments regarding holocaust. It just seems like a really messed up situation all around.

Doing this week’s Saurfang questline immediately after the Blood Elf heritage armor questline made it really easy to reject this random troll that I’ve never heard of
