I had the first orb on phase 2 but I was also erring on the side of caution on poop waves and incoming ballz so I was probably out of melee range for safety's sake
we actually wiped because lookin at my stream for the 1% wipe I poped my cd on after the third add on the blast instead of after the collapse and during bloodlust
I'm slightly serious because that is beserk+trinket+cd+azerite trait and its pretty gross for boomkin

Also its not really that relevant but you do dodge the corruption wave on the platform so for continued pulls id like to be fifth because it gives me the least amount of waves to worry about healthstoning through
Im actually tempted to stay on the ledge until the blast because its one less body to dodge and I can run with one stack by my self for ever and self heal forever (id also actually use voice to tell yall to not bother)

That stupid mechanic you get that forces you to run out of the raid? It's the least fun thing in all of uldir. Killing Zul trash is more fun than p2 ghuun.
ghuun is probably the biggest example of phase 1 doesnt matter I can think of in recent expansions
once we decided melee not deal with the dark young to avoid ballz issues every attempt was like, maker and I killing the same tentacle at the start then interrupting stuff until laser
yeah phase 1 of that fight is terrible, phase 2 is better, phase 3 is fun. they should have completely scrapped the reorigination beam mechanic, it's not fun, and the majority of our wipes were just "oops chi torpedo broke, wipe it"
wait, phase 1 is fun, because it lets me pad meters extremely hard. dps straight up doesn't matter in that phase at all, but it's a phase that shadow excels at
Im pretty happy about how basically everyone stayed through so many attempts with a larger turn out. That's...not always the case, when it's just one progression fight the whole time.
Though at times part of me wished some of you jerks left, because that fight brutalizes my framerate almost immediately with so much going on.

For instance, on almost every one of our attempts, I never got a debuff placed on me in phase 1, just by luck.

I feel bad that I can't do Thursdays, especially when it sounds like there was a lot of effort put into it. My hope is that I don't fuck up enough next week so we get to Ghuun earlier and then (also) don't fuck up with the mechanics that I'm a detriment to the fight. I was doing better on normal than heroic in pretty much all the fights going by rankings and that's after going up 5 ilvls. Gonna get enough potions so that I can pre-pot for every fight and do a ton of fishing to make sure I don't run out of the good food.

For instance, on almost every one of our attempts, I never got a debuff placed on me in phase 1, just by luck.
Not sure that's accurate as one of our better attempts there was a series of 6 explosions where i got targeted 5 times. I'm pretty sure that one pull isn't a full third of my orb hits.
I know at least 3-5 of the ones on the chart for me were post wipe getting called where i was playing a game to see if you can chase down an orb that you spawned and get hit by it multiple times. You can.
And 1 was right before a blood feast and i was coming around g'huun warning the raid about a orb that was following me and I got hit by one going directly perpendicular through g'huun.

explosive corruption is the debuff he puts on people at random that can't be avoided, virulent corruption is from coming into contact with an accursed orb
I'm having trouble getting it to display anything for Explosive Corruption. I'm trying to see if my count on that one attempt was correct.
Edit: okay, seems to show no data for all pulls, but single pulls does have something. The one i thought it was had me getting targeted 4 times. The timeline view is miserable on my phone so ill have to do more digging when i get home.
The two things that seemed to catch us up in phase 2 were orb running issues and white balls hitting people, especially during the blood feast stack. Aside from the occasional movement ability getting hung up the orb groups seemed to have gotten that part down and even though it still needs some work i could see us getting better with the balls as the night went on.
Phase 3 is just people needing to pay attention to gaze and learn to deal with the pustiles. That's not gonna be an issue. We only had a handful of pulls get to phase 3 and we got him to 1-2% twice or something like that.
Another week of practice plus whatever gear from the rest of the place and we have it.

I'll try to make myself run a few +6-ish waycrests for a chance at a weapon at least around normal raid ilevels as well.
My fist weapons are from normal G'huun and a +2 Underrot, so not quite at a good spot for the final heroic raid boss. Fixing that will likely be a good contributor to my dps for that fight, at least.

Getting hit applies both virulent and explosive? That seems unnecessary. How does blizzard expect us to excessively analyse the parses?

Because of Azerite bullshit I am having to carry around 3 different azerite bullshit pieces for situations.
One for tankings, One for Uldir/Single Target shit. And one for M+/Multiple Targets.

keep in mind, getting hit by an orb ALSO will apply an explosive corruption, so it's not the exact amount of being targeted directly
