Don't be a hallway hero! Stay with your team. And only run off if you have to, or some rare stuff is marked and you wanna grab it.
To clarify - this is because xp is shared only within a certain radius. There's an icon in the upper right section of your UI that shows how many of your squad are sharing "Affinity" with you. If that number starts dropping, or the icon goes away, you're not giving or getting anything from them.
Also, it's a real pain if you run off by yourself and get knocked down, 'cause then someone has to run a long way to maybe get there and revive you before you die.
So, in short, stick with your buddiesteammates fellow goof-ups.
Can I at least get a goddamn workshop post finally that details the changes? Specifically to what's replacing channeling, how they're changing (let's face it, probably nerfing ) scaling, and stuff like that?
Judging by the sound of things, introducing true quick melee was a huge game changer so they probably don't have anything set in stone to do a dev workshop with.
I just installed this and am kicking myself for not doing so earlier despite having a pretty valid reason
So far I've removed by parasitic space anklet and offed the jerk that slapped it on me.
Anyone have any good guides to read on what I should be doing next? It seems like a lot of stuff opened up and I'm kind of hitting the same obstacle I did with The Old Republic after the first few plot missions in that I have no clue what I should actually be doing now.
Check the OP. The resources section has a bunch of good stuff in it and iFlynn has pretty great, if slightly out of date, new player video series that will give you an idea of where to go and what to do.
And if you tell us who you are, we'll get you into the clan so you can have a pick of whatever's cooking in there, too.
Sent invites to the people asking for it on this page, btw.
I'll edit in my in-game name once Steam finishes updating the things it refuses to update until the weirdest times of it's own choosing.
I'm like 99% sure it's the same though.

Can I get an invite to PC clan for my sister? She needs an archwing launcher and is probably gat the point where she can benefit from playing with more people now. She's "PatoChistoso"
(if you still see a green line where the dropped item was for you, some group members haven't picked up their instance and you can mark where the line projects from).
oh THAT's why the line sticks around some times?!

- On Defense, don’t give operatives a weapon. It makes them more aggressive, which makes them move more, which makes them harder to defend.
- On radiation Sorties, don’t bring AoE weapons like the Amprex. Radiation procs enable friendly fire and AoE weapons make it especially easy to kill teammates.
- On Orokin Defense, don’t use the lasers by the objective. Unless you’re on the fortieth wave or so, you’re going to kill your teammates with little benefit.
- On Interception missions, pick a point to defend and stay with it.
- On Extraction Fissures, don’t feed the extractors after getting 100 cryotic until everyone has 10 reactant. Otherwise some teammates won’t crack open their relics, which is bad for you too.
- In the Index, turn in your points at 15, which gives you the biggest bonus to point ratio. There’s no benefit to carrying more points. Also, keep and eye on the timer and immediately turn in any points you have when it gets low.
If I remember things right the Angstrum fires all of those rockets at the same time, right?
So 80,000 per rocket and 4 rockets means 320,000 damage per Boom, right?

Lethal torrent plus barrel diffusion gives 180% multishot so 6 rockets plus a 80% chance for a seventh. Unless of course you have an increase magazine size mod (which they do). You see the angstrum empties the entire magazine when fully charged, regardless of rounds. So they would actually fire 8 rockets with an 80% chance on a ninth.

But the damage numbers takes multishot into account. So in reality it's not 80,000 per rocket.

We can fix that, we have the technology. Chroma or Mirage up ins. Or Rhino, if I recall correctly? I can't remember what his war cry does.

Yeah but I wasn't talking about the damage just the number of rockets. I actually don't know how charge weapons like the angstrum work with regard to the weapon damage displayed. I think that damage amount is the total amount done by all the rockets fired, including multishot, when fully charged. But I don't know if that includes the extra rockets fired because of the increased magazine count.
So when you max your reputation with Solaris United a certain mystery gets solved, and boy is it something. Try to avoid spoilers.
Dammit, I was all set to go buying things. I got my kitgun parts for a handcannon already, I was going to... yeah screw it I'm still going to buy the other lures first.
It's pretty cool but it's a lore/world-building thing not anything ingame mechanically. I'd say to spend rep on stuff you want and look it up if you really want to know.
Between shred and vile acceleration it becomes a much more nimble weapon.
I'd probably keep that riven as is, actually. -ammo maximum is basically nothing on an opticor so you're getting a boost to the two positives on that riven for free, and its two positives are really solid.
I traded 2 arcane helmets I been trying to get rid of for years for an Opticor riven
How much did you pay for that, out of curiosity?
They paid 2 arcane helmets 😋
Haha Yeah that didn't make sense at all. What I mean was: how much were those arcanes worth total?
About one Opticor riven.
:P *pushes up glasses* You joke but rivens can vary in price by 1000's ($66 USD) of platinum. Depending on the weapon, and quality of the riven. The Opticor is somewhat popular.
Edit: looks like Opticor rivens can go from ~$5 (worst possible) to ~$500 (best possible). Riven trading can be insane.
I think my favourite period of Opticor was when Plains hit and you could just snipe with an energy cannon across vast distances.
I still have my fingers cross that Tonkor gets brought back to it's former glory one day.
You given the Secura Penta a try? It's a different flavor from the Tonkor, but it's some good boom in its own right. Like, take it into a T4 interception and you can still clear out all the weaker mobs of a spawn in an instant with two clicks.

As someone that went from nothing to MR 13 on the back of the Tonkor, I too hope that it regains a significant fraction of its former power and glory someday.

I didn't like it at first, but the Opticor grew on me so I put several forma into it. Then they buffed it and holy shit it is great
It was already awesome; what did they do to it again?
Reduced charge speed, innate punch through, higher crit damage/chance and thicker beam (so that you can hit more enemies) are some of the buffs that were made in Update 21 and its hotfixes.

I love the Opticor, but would like three or four Exilus slots so I can build attack speed and damage at the same time.
