It's literally a pink growth on your warframe's neck. They're contagious. You get it from playing with a Nidus or another infected frame in multiplayer. Once it's fully mature you can use it for breeding Kubrows or just cure it (which also makes that frame immune to further infection).

Mine was a Saryn Prime instead of Nidus, but I still ended up matching her colors to the cyst. I honestly like Nidus' deluxe skin too much, the colors are great on it too. That new helmet is nice, but dont think it holds up to the great skin we got for him. D:

Hey Warframers, I'm thinking about starting to play this on the Switch when it comes out tomorrow.

From what I understand there is a one-time transfer from PC to Switch initially, but it's not like true crossplay or anything just yet.

Now my question...I have Twitch Prime, and get Prime loot whenever I remember to check it. I have some Warframe prime loot in there too.

    - Is it too late to claim that loot, was it only available for a certain window?

    - Should I start playing Warframe on PC initially just to get the loot, and then transfer it to Switch? Or do you think that will be unnecessary and I should be able to claim those items on a newly created Switch account?

The twitch prime loot is still available, you can get trinity prime and some prime weapons from it right now. I don't think there's any reason you wouldn't be able to claim those on PC and then do your account copy.

I want to say you can claim it on your Switch account, since it's simply linked to your Warframe one. Someone who plays on PS or Xbox would have to back me up on that though.

If that's true, the only reason you'd want to play on PC before transferring is to spend all your plat, since that is one of the things that won't transfer. Another is any content that isn't out for consoles yet, so unless the transfer window is pass the console release of Fortuna, no reason to stick around to play it either.

I don't have an account on PC yet, so presumably when I make a new account for Switch I will get the free plat there and be able to spend it there.

I guess these questions will be answered soon enough when other people try to redeem those items on Switch.

Should I actually hold off on getting them until I'm a little ways into the game and have extra storage space to hold them, know what to do with them etc.?

don't quote me on this but I believe the switch version will be up to date with the latest content release (fortuna) on launch that was incorrect I guess

you don't need to worry about inventory space, giveaway weapons and frames come with a free inventory slot as well.

I believe Fortuna is coming to Switch early next year, bringing it to parity with the console releases. At which point they've said the Switch will stay on the same release cycle as the other consoles.

Twitch Prime loot come with their own inventory slots, even if you still had space available, which is a big part of why I claim them even though I have everything but the cosmetics in most cases.

As for what they are meant for, Trinity is a support/healing frame. Can be made to be pretty tanky, but is probably not something you are going to want to switch to the moment you are finished with the tutorial quest.

In fairness, though, it doesn't mean that until it's pretty well kitted out. Still, it's overwhelming how good it is at its job.

Mmh, I wasn't a fan of the Vasto Prime, so Akvasto Prime would have been nothing but mastery fodder ... but then I got a Riven for it, so now I'm formaing the hell out of it just to see how it ends up. Working as intended, I suppose, raising interest in less popular stuff.

Similar for the Broken Scepter, though the Riven alone wouldn't have done it without Baro's staff skin. Can't use a weapon I don't like the looks off after all, what would the other Tenno say  .

    Garuda's 1 is very satisfying.

She seems very tanky in the right setup? Like, her 2 is a LOT of healing, her 3 apparently scales up with efficiency on the return, and with her 1 blocking all incoming fire from a direction... there's an obvious 3>2>1 cycle going where you spend blood for energy, create a health fountain from one enemy, a shield from another, and then unload with impunity.

Spoilertagging this, though I guess it's kinda public, what with the Ember codex entry.
As someone who's a huge fan of the whole horror genre based around psychic experiments on children gone horribly right (or wrong, I guess), like Akira and Firestarter, Warframe is pretty cool.

I was wondering why, after all this time, the Sentients still have beef with the Tenno, but.. all the fragments we've encountered thus far are Hunhow or Eidolon, aren't they? Otherwise I'd think Tenno and Sentient could be on the same page, considering how awful the Orokin were to anyone and everyone, how they only fought because of the Orokin, and how the Tenno straight up finished what the Sentients started.
Like, Lotus is still spacemom even as she returns unmasked to retrieve the dying Ballas. That whole bit kind of implies she set him up for us to knock him down? I'm not sure.
Ballas blowing a lot of wind about a war and giving us a Sentient-slaying weapon feels a lot like a red herring, too. I mean, it'd be nice to put Hunhow away permanently, unless you interpret the end of Octavia's Anthem to mean his obliteration, but I don't see that being significant enough to call a "war".
And Ballas is definitely not our friend.
