After using my One Thousand Voices for a day, I have come to he conclusion that it is hella imbalanced.
It is fun as fuck, but Bungie's notion that rarity = balance when it comes to exotics like this is LOL SUPER WRONG-O

I agree the the majority of what Fondor_Yards had to say but for:
* You can get shaders out of the collection pretty cheap so overall number of shaders isn't such a big deal
(raid spoilers)
* The eye spawn locations in Morgeth aren't a huge problem if you've got one or two people dedicated to the duty since you know about when people are going to get trapped and they can hang out wherever the downed eye happens to be just prior. But if the intent isn't for you to burn the ogre down in one phase (which it doesn't seem like it was, all things considered) there should really be an eye that spawns with the 10th Taken Strength orb, or even spawns right when the DPS phase starts. There are just too many intersecting timers in the encounter.
Yea the first part was more for space taken. So I ether waste mats every time I want to get/see a shader, or my current use of wasting 1/4th of my vault on them even after having my 50 spots on me full.
Yea that's what we do there with the eyes so we can still usually get someone cleansed even if they have to sprint all the way across the map. Just gets annoying when 1 side gets like 8 strength and 4 eyes, when the other gets 2 and 1.
Secrets, lies, and tragedy. The trifecta.

Anyone got a link to that reddit thing with all the NF high score challenge suggestions?

You can literally do 1 Public Event on EDZ and complete it, each orange enemy gives 1/10.

You're trying to convince us that you hate the Drifter, and that we should also hate the Drifter knowing that will only make us do the opposite because it's all part of a very long and convoluted con that you're running that will not pay off in Destiny 3 because they're going to discard your entire plotline because they don't have time to explain it.

Just so dumb that they need to drag this quest out so much.
Literally letting us play 1/3 of a single quest per week?

Finally managed to get a group together for the raid! Managed to take down the first three bosses mostly blind, we had a decent idea on what to do on shuro chi due to trying her a bit with 5 people last week (we tried her after getting the chest since we thought she was the first boss).
The fourth encounter... seemed complicated. And then someone said that we should just read up on it and do it next week since it is apparently horrible to do blind, something I think I've read in this thread as well.

I did a lost sector and got none. Weird.
I was grinding out the festival lost sector bounty and fighting lion kills and noticed the same thing. After the 5 runs I killed all the things during the Fallen vs Cabal "event" that happens outside the church and (I think) got the rest of my pages and a nice chuck of lion completion.

The Vault is difficult to do blind, but figuring it out for yourselves is therefore very rewarding
EDIT: Not to mention that if you look up how to do it, it might feel like easy pointless busywork. There are Strike encounters more challenging than Vault after you know how to do it.

Half the people were already reaaaal shaky on doing it blind at all, I doubt I can sell them on something that will take a long time to figure out.
The first three encounters were incredibly fun anyway, hoping the last half is equally enjoyable.

Yeah, going in blind is a thing you need full buy-in on. I enjoy all the encounters of Last Wish with the possible exception of Shuro because some of the random elements in that are really annoying.
Mtashed, who I know some of you don't like and I'm willing to look past that, is putting together community highlights videos. I know some of us, like @Local H Jay, probably have some stuff lying around you could submit.
Right but often times the quality is heavily degraded after being uploaded from Xbox DVR to YouTube, so if I wanted the original clips (also sans music and other clips I may have edited in) without once again redownloading off YouTube to submit, which further degrades the clip quality... Anyways I just sent them a link to a decent clip I had.
What annoys me is, I lost some old screenshots and clips I wanted around on my profile. They also made some recent clips inaccessible to edit, all I can do with those is upload to OneDrive.
Basically wish they had warned us better so I could pull those things down before they disappeared.

Having had watched the majority of the world first races when people were stuck there for like 9 hours, I have a hard time believing many of them would report that the vault blind was rewarding. :P
If you upload stuff to youtube once in a while that should solve that problem.
Didn’t the YouTube app disable the upload functionality?
Yeah, that feature's been disabled on the app for a while. Which was pretty annoying at the time given how many hoops you had to jump through in order to get it to upload to youtube after they broke it initially.

That's cause the Vault is pointless busywork. It's an encounter designed to cockblock the people doing world firsts and ends up being fairly uninteresting once you know the actual mechanics.

EDIT: I guess it helps to make the distinction between people going for World's First and people who identify as Blind Raiders. World's First people start blind not by choice, not because they enjoy figuring things out, but because there's literally no other option. If information can be gleaned from other streams while they're going for it, they will use it. That's why some teams went dark when figuring out Vault, as to not give their competition any help. Blind Raiders get enjoyment from figuring out obtuse mechanics. Vault was very rewarding for Blind Raiders.
Tri-Optimum reminds you that there are only one-hundred-sixty-three shopping days until Christmas. Just 1 extra work cycle twice a week will give you the spending money you need to make this holiday a very special one.

Blind raids only happen once per person. Designing repeatable content around that is not a good idea.
I've only cleared the Vault once so far but I like the encounter's fundamental setup.
It's not hard but it's a different challenge (remembering which thingy goes where) than is present in the rest of Destiny encounters.
I'd like it better if it were just the 3rd round rather than having the other two rounds in front of that. Spawning 3 knights at a time mean everyone has to spread out and handle their business. Just doing that one set of plate clears wouldn't take long but would be a short, hectic encounter where you have to remember where to put your ball once you've got it while everybody is fighting shit.
But that's the way a lot of stuff introduced in Forsaken seems to be... just a bit longer than it needs to be.
Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

The vault is fine, I think. Stuff like the Zamboni encounter in Wrath was as easy but still fun.
Got the gwism vest to drop, though with primary ammo finder and sidearm reserves...most useless perk combo. Also got a two tailed fox and Cerberus. Enjoying the new exotic changes so far
"Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination."
I got Cerberus+1, Heart of Inmost Light, Black Talon, and whatever the “I’m a Banana Republic General with Fake Medals” void Hunter chest is yesterday.

Does anyone know if turning in planetary mats to like Failsafe can drop exotics, or if they can drop Y2 exotics?
