This year's fucked up my shoulder. Weird discoloration and soreness.

    My arm is slightly sore

Sometimes my arm hurts a lot from the flu shot, sometimes not as much. This time it didn't hurt that much.

I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

Per my prediction, I walked into the hospital for group a couple weeks ago and they jabbed me in the arm while I wasn't looking

I assume that was a flu shot

It could be Narwhal Super Serum. You never know!

None of my doctors have so far followed my suggestion of "going rogue and trying crazy stuff" with my medical treatment :(

But maybe this was the time! :surprised:

Maybe that person wasn't even part of the hospital staff!

Also, congrats on your continuity of housedness. I've been told that it is more enjoyable than the alternative.

    We can only hope!

And thanks - by and large it does beat the alternative, I'll admit :P

Originally the two numbers - housedness and sobriety - actually lined up, as I embraced the latter to celebrate the former

But it turned out that securing stable housing in a city I'd never lived in before and with (at the time) a limited support system was trickier than I might have anticipated >_>

But it's going well now, so yay!

also I should wear a headset and tape over the rpm indicator to not get annoyed at the automatic gear

if i drove anywhere driving were actually enjoyable, i might prefer a manual transmission, but 90% of my driving is boring commute or errand driving and automatic is just easier

the only automatic I've driven for any amount of time was the M113, which was the least automatic automatic transmission in the world, so it's not even easier for me

all the things that have become second nature are fighting me - trying not to stop uncomfortably/kill us all by getting rear ended by trying not to step on a non-existent clutch, making my passenger giggle because he saw my hand reach for the stick then stop, and grinding my teeth at noticing the rpm all the time yet being pretty much entirely passive about it

Also, when Waitress (her musical) came out, I listened to it on repeat for several days. "She Used To Be Mine" is one of my favorite recent Broadway songs.

What's the maximum number of people that can be slotted into a PM?

    This question makes me scared
I shouldn't be telling you this but I'm basically trying to figure out if it's practical to have a letter "signed" by forumers by agreeing to be included in the PM list. Don't worry there's no "BUY MY PRODUCT" self promotion shit involved.

i do believe there is a "no party PMs" rule that is loosely enforced

i know we've had some pretty hefty ones for like PAX meetups and stuff though so i dunno

the M113 would pretty much never shift unless I pumped it up to about 3000 rpms, so it was kind of fun like I was trying to cajole an animal into doing a trick. BrapraprapraprapraBRRRRAAAAAAAM KER-CHUNK braprapraprapraprapra

the settings on the gear shift were 1-3, 1-2, 2-3, neutral. Which I thought would actually let me choose, but, as I found out going down a long and steep road, it's more of a suggestion. I had it in 1-2 and engine braking down the hill to save my brakes, both because the brakes are also my steering and I don't want to lose them, and because steering without breaking with both sticks was easier

then it went KA-CHUNK and threw it into third and eleven tons started to hurtle towards the edge of the cliff

Henroid I think as a practical rule it is not advisable to think that anything done on the forums can be hidden from the mod team

Because I can tell you from experience that that is explicitly not the case

    Some people still avoid it.

I mean, it feels like this strategy of setting crazy numbers and dangling a carrot to work hard at the end of the year probably won't work next year right? Can people be dumb enough to fall for that?
