@DrZiplock if you're still looking for rosemary recipes, there's a small company down here that makes an amazing rosemary jelly.
This is a random recipe that I found, but the idea is essentially the same. https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/rosemary-jelly/
it's soooo good on meat of all kinds, but also good with scones.
Welp, I think this is a thing I'll be doing over the next couple of days. Thanks!

I've never tried mayo on grilled cheese. I already like butter and if I don't like mayo I have to make a whole nother sandwich and bluuuuuuhhhhh I was hungry 10 minutes ago
This is the recipe I used. Was a good choice. I used cake flour instead of ap though.

Sophia made chocolate mousse for valentine's dinner last night
or, she tried to, but was only half paying attention because of brain spiders, and wound up making like...a kind of really dense pudding? but with a graham cracker crust?
it's very odd but it's also amazing
(my contribution to dinner was cacio e pepe but that's not as exciting)
I like that you haven't put insane amounts of icing on them.
Nothing worse than a cupcake with an improper cake:frosting ratio.
Well, I suppose there's a lot of things worse.
But the improper cake:frosting ratio is pretty bad.

There's a local cupcake place that makes just the tastiest dense yet tender chocolate cupcakes I have ever shoved into my cupcakehole. And then they insist on topping them with about quadruple the icing they really need, and it's that really stiff bullshit icing that feels like you're eating spackle. It's a real shame.
The real redeeming feature is that you can peel off the rigid spackle cap and throw it in the garbage where it belongs, and then you've got a lovely little cake that's just for you.

Cooking thread, I need your help. My sinuses have been fucked for most of a month, and so last week I tried to find a recipe for chicken and dumplings. This was a tremendous comfort food for me when I was a child. I decided on a slow-cooker version because that is my general jam. And way too much of the liquid cooked off, and the dumplings kind of disintegrated, and I somehow oversalted it by a really wild margin, and when I finished the last bowl of it just now I thought "Hey, I bet this is what wet cat food is like."
What do you cook when you are feeling congested and poorly?

That's what I did!
The recipe is for a seeded beet, oat and goat cheese loaf and it is very delicious but also I suspect it could be called How To Really Really Poop Loaf.

Pla or kung, usually (I guess gung == kung?). Technically I mostly make tom khlang, because I generally use tamarind.
But it's one of those 'whatever I have in the fridge' dishes, for me.
When I’m sick and congested my go to is a big bowl of rare beef pho with lots of chilli slices dumped in.

I have another batch of sourdough resting on the fridge. Making up some more Bacon Sourdough. Going to turn some into grilled cheese sandwiches with gouda, colby jack and cheddar tomorrow night, as well as bringing in a loaf to work go pair up with some Brie.

WE LIKE IT VERY MUCH
Listen you can't have it both ways! I saw that other post.
Mayo does something to the taste that I don't like, and I don't usually have mayo in my house because I hate mayo in general.
I just use like 8 sticks of butter it's okay.
It's insanely delicious with pork
Trolls and ogres are civilized beasts! Ask Shrek!

Option 2: just use a knife, as long as you're generous when you plop the icing on it will look fine.
These are incredibly good

Sook or gung?
Try Jamie Oliver seeds instead.

Chicken curry if I have a cold
Macaroni cheese if I'm not sinusy
You have entered the Wong Opinions Zone
Breakfast of chumpions
Also if I'm sick I still enjoy a good chicken noodle soup. But maybe a spicy ramen?
That is not a world I want to live in.
Or a world without Indian food, which makes very frequent use of fennel seed

To be honest, I didn't end up enjoying crab as much as I had hoped, but it was an interesting experiment
I'm making a batch of muhammara for the outrigger canoe pot luck I'll be at tonight and I just love the way charring peppers makes my apartment smell.

Better make up a tomato soup to dip those in.
