As much as a like John and Hank, they are, like, the definition of white liberalism.
They have their hearts in the right place, but seem allergic to saying anything along the lines of "maybe the government and/or capitalism is bad sometimes?"
But... They say stuff like that all the time?
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.
Man, some of the ads you guys in (presumably) America report seeing on Youtube videos sound fucking awful. I never see anything like that. Is it just that stuff is only in the US? I mean, I know here in the UK we have some pretty strong laws about political ads and the like, but I'm also pretty sure that they only apply to TV/radio and not the internet.
The US is stupid about free speech absolutism, along with looking for "balance".
There are a lot of laws governing advertisements, dude.
And poltical ads have laws governing them.
There are, but the more I learn about advertising in other countries, the more surprised I am with how lax our (US) laws on them are.

I feel like you must be talking about entirely different people here, because they are very open about how the government and capitalism are bad a lot of the time. They even bring it up in the Crash Course history videos. It's not hugely in the Crash Course government or economics series because they're talking about the concepts generally (They're supposed to be 101 courses).
Crash Course takes a victory lap. Which is fully deserved, IMO. This thread/forum led me to them. I've fallen off watching lately, but that's mostly due to not having time.
I liked Crash Course a lot and US history/world history was very important to me during a dark time
but their series on US government really turned me off*, as did John's refusal to just outright say "the CIA instigated a coup in Iran."
*specifically, it was the third time they said the postal service didn't pay for itself while neglecting to mention that it did pay for itself for the entirety of its history until republicans deliberately attempted to bankrupt it in 2006
He did though. In the video he states that the CIA and Great Britain tried to instigate a coup. The only thing he waffles on is whether or not those groups are entirely responsible for it due to the coup being supported by the clerics. Also because Iranians aren't objects that are only acted upon, they take an active hand in creating their own history and just as Russia intervenes in US elections by exploiting existing differences, so did the CIA.

The trans-stance on that video can be argued, but faketan cali is its very own phenonenon with its very own set of status markers. I really can't see the connection to blackface.

EVERYBODY SHUT UP
A NEW MONSTER FACTORY JUST WENT UP
I fully believe that The Hu have some kind of youtube promo scheme going on. Their first video was in my recommends right off the bat.
I'm not complaining mind, they make rad music, but it does stink a little.
Same thing happened a while back with The Dead South. Never heard of them before, suddenly this shows up both in my recommendations and top of my "Up next" almost regardless of what I was watching.

Fun fact: I had never heard of Section-Z until starting to watch Jeremy Parish's works. Like.. being someone who got their NES in 1988 with a subscription to Nintendo Power, it just was never on my radar. I have more fond memories of Rygar from that time period.

If that piano actually lit up like that, these sorts of things would be incredible ads.

Man, if you gave me one hundred years to do nothing but practice whatever skill I'm most naturally suited for, I would still not be half as good as that person is at playing the piano. It's messed up that there are multiple people in the world who can play songs like that.

Open that video in one tab and Kim Jung Gi drawing in another...

Put in 1000-8000 hours of practice (depending on talent) and you will be able to do that. Maybe not flawlessly, but close. Well, unless you have super-stubby fingers or some other hand disability like arthrosis.

at any given time, it is safe to say i am at war with one of them over them blatantly ignoring my request to leave packages on my doorstep
fuckin', fedex didn't have a problem with doing that until I moved into a building with a package room
which they have a goddamn key to
But... They say stuff like that all the time?

I KNEW I DIDN'T JUST IMAGINE THEM
Some of that stuff made it into the final recording of the song, too. The last line is "Just gimmie gimmie gimmie fried chicken"
Better buckle up before opening the spoiler
(it's not mentioned in the linked apology article, but the author of the original article was accused of sexual assault)
(INTO have still not taken down the original article, and why would they? They're getting plenty of clicks.)

Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
Same thing happened a while back with The Dead South. Never heard of them before, suddenly this shows up both in my recommendations and top of my "Up next" almost regardless of what I was watching.
But also, they're a Canadian folk-bluegrass band. Like... it's not Ariana Grande, who'd be pumping PR money into The Dead South and The Hu?
I had been binging these and was sad to think it was over and lo and behold a new beautiful boy arrived.
Ganguro is very it's own thing
Yeah they started showing up for me when I searched Fuck You by Cee-lo Green.

I'm assuming that they did that with projected graphics.
