It's really fascinating how it manages to boil down the weird brain glitches that make us care about sports. Like, I know I shouldn't care about whether or not one lump of glass does a thing faster than all the other lumps of glass. Then again, there's no real reason why I should care about some stranger completing some ball-based objective better than a bunch of other strangers, but it turns out that all we need is a thin narrative and some group cohesion to be entirely committed.
That being said, Team Primary is a bunch of bastards and anyone rooting for them can meet me in the parking lot.

The guy who makes it puts a LOT of work into constructing very cool marble runs. He has thousands of marbles. A few years back, he stumbled on an amazing formula to present the races like the Olympics. And then he found an amazing announcer.
It's pretty cool! His other races and work are amazing too. But the production on the marbleympics is an entirely different level.
Here's the episode that cemented me being a team Momo fan. They way they bounced back from this was awe inspiring.
I fell off of Macross 82-99 pretty hard after figuring out all the stuff I liked the most on their releases were Tatsuro Yamashita song samples that were even barely modified.
I dunno, I still like the future funk'd up shit Macross puts out
e: that whole genre is maligned for generally being fairly low effort. Maybe rightly so, but I still jam to it

It's a series of those marble ramps you played with as a kid, but also giving your marbles personalities, like imaginary friends.
