The things I have seen people do in parking lots. Where and how they park, what they do with their carts, how they drive. Anyone who’s been a cart pusher at a big store
Goddamned monsters
I saw someone park next to the cart corral thingie, and then leave their cart on the other side of their car when they were done instead of putting it on the side that had the cart corral.
not a doctor, not a lawyer, examples I use may not be fully researched so don't take out of context plz, don't @ me
“Stupid” is one of the few intelligence based insults that isn’t entrenched in mocking of the mentally handicapped, mocking the otherwise disabled, and by connotation doesn’t insult intrinsically a person’s ability.
In modern usage it means “unintelligent” but historical usage and still valid connotation tie it to being stunned or dazzled, and unable to think because of some external force.
Isn't idiot originally an insult for someone who didn't vote in Greek society? I'd think that was a worthy insult.
Of course, it was later used as a label for mentally handicapped people, so, that one got ruined too.

I have seen many, many dozens of people park inside a cart corral

I think this basically doesn't matter, though, in terms of words becoming taboo. The reaction and politicization is what shapes our behaviour.
"Stupid" is very cutting when used earnestly, like "shut up" can be. I could see it falling into disfavor because it's the essential word we use for insulting intelligence.
But the one that's probably going to become a battleground next is "crazy." It's already verboten in some progressive circles. I wonder how much traction that will get.

HEY YOU! Yeah, by the cart you just left in the middle of the parking lot! I hope you have a good day! Whatever’s causing grief in your life passes! You are a wonderful person and I hope you know that! Don’t let anybody take you down!
Not doing the little tiny courtesies that are easy and expected of everyone is probably the quickest way to earn contempt. If you're wildly punching a postbox and screaming about something people might write it off as a bad day.
But tossing an empty Coke can into the street without a thought? Everyone who saw you hates you now and has marked you as garbage.

Somewhere I have an early 1900s newspaper clip from my hometown advertising a "home for idiots" by a renowned "idiot doctor".

perhaps it is more moral to outright reject an unjust system, where labor is offloaded onto the customer

skippy this pleading is making it worse. You have been judged. Now take this bell and wander the wasteland, yelling "unclean".

"Oh nice parking job, buddy. Did you have trouble seeing the lines or do you just have penguin flippers for hands?"
No coming back from that, yknow? Might as well be kind.

I feel like, more than any other struggle, this is the true tragedy of the human condition.
