I haven't run into too many bugs, myself, and most have been pretty minor. Along with some goofy stuff where an inactive mob will occasionally be T-posing until alerted. The usual Bethesda shit, really.
The insanely negative overreaction to the game when it is at worst mediocre with a highly specific niche of appeal is something that's getting more and more common these days. The YouTube echochamber and how negativity gets more clicks is a factor, I guess.
The scorched assume awkward and rigid poses until alerted, its intentional.
They fix in the pose that a lot of the ashen corpses are in. Since those are their end state, I imagine that they fix there toward the end of their life unless alerted.
What the fuck is with this quadruple price bullshit?
Edit: This time it said 5 caps and took 160? Jesus christ, fuck this camp bullshit.
It’s not updating the price correctly, but the cost goes up a lot if you’re placing it near a minable resource node.

I doubt mineral nodes have anything to do with my varying prices, the prices I listed earlier was in the exact same area in the Golf area where there doesnt seem to be any mineral nodes.
I was testing how far from a lake it would let me plant Industrial Purifiers, hint - as long as its close to water, you can build on land.
I guess Grahm has the metal and brick wall plans (hopefully metal doors too?)... If only I could find the asshole, I've got caps to burn.
At least I found a suitable permanent (maybe) camp placement and I built a level 50 Power Armor and gave it a Bright Light headlamp and the power attack hand mods.
When I ran into Grahm a few days ago, he was puttering along the road on the east side of the Toxic Valley that goes between the steel plant and the civil war museum.

He was killing all the super mutants in Grafton when I found him. I followed to put a bullet in so I’d get the XP, but he did all the work.

A Class Action lawsuit is/was in the works against Bethesda and their Fallout 76 Refund Policy (or lack therof).
But now (literally hours later) it looks like Bethesda has reversed its “Fuck You and Your Family, No Refunds” policy.
I looked at getting a refund- but honestly if you are over 10 hours you are just being a jerk.
trash game is trash- but theres a nugget of fun in exploration. if i get 25+ hours out of something- i dont deserve a refund.
That's a silly way of looking at it. I have a level 37 character that became unplayable due to known bugs at release. This occurred less than two weeks after ordering the game. If a product breaks after less than two weeks, you should be able to get a refund.

Well, from experience, if you buy a game digitally on PSN and it doesn't work well too effin bad. I assume XBox has a similar lack of refund policy. Steam has an OK refund policy I believe, but this game isn't available on Steam, right? You can only get it through Bethesda on PC I think, and I imagine they don't have much in the way of a refund policy. And since "physical" games on PC are just physical boxes with codes in them, I imagine it's impossible to get a refund from Best Buy or whatever.
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.

Having quite happily got a refund off of Amazon (due to sale price shenanigans, not game related), I couldn't say really. Which was why I'm curious!
Oh right, Amazon! I forgot about them... been so long since I've bought a game form them, actually. Amazon does usually have pretty good customer service.

You know who else should get a full refund? The people whose character got deleted and beth support told them to pound sand (theres nothing beth can do to help). There is no fix for that. FYI rumor is there is a bug with alts.... some chars got deleted/merged. how it was triggered is not known...
And can i say- having your characters merge into one weird character with qualities and gear and levels of randomly from both is the most bethesda thing to ever happen. Your save on the sever is the literal transportation chamber from 'the fly.'

So from what I understand the situation was this:
At the start people could and did get refunds.
Then after a week or so the EULA was updated to say that by downloading the game you forfeit any right to a refund.
People could no longer get refunds and were, I suppose, justifiably upset.
Law firm steps in to look at a potential lawsuit.
Now it looks like Bethesda maybe backtracked on that.
The other big issue is that the UK and EU have very consumer friendly refund policies, but according to Bethesda if you (as a European) actually download the game you agree to waive your right to refund. Which isn't sitting very well with a lot of people.

I mean, as a UK/EU person, you..can't waive your legal rights in this case in that way.
Specifically because otherwise companies would just boilerplate it in. They're going to get hosed, if they persist.

Yeah I am admittedly only vaguely aware of how things work other there.
Bethesda's wording on the matter in regards to UK/EU costumers was something like this : "You have 30 days from the day you received the goods to request a return. If you download the game within the 30 day period you must agree to waive your cancellation rights."
Basically if you buy the game but don't download it you can get a refund. If you download it you're shit outta luck.
Which probably wont fly if anyone seriously challenges it.

I've just been quietly looking at the discourse surrounding Fallout 76 and I have to say the game's existence is very interesting.
It (unintentionally) says a lot about the current state of AAA game development.
This year has certainly been very educational, as ANDROMEDA, FALLOUT 76, and BATTLE FOR AZEROTH have all been revealed as major games released by publishers who knew that they had significant development gaps but launched anyway.
We know you’re frustrated and angry at the state of things right now, whether it’s the issues you’re running into in the game, or the lack of communication about fixes, updates, or news. To be clear, this account is run by us, Bethesda Game Studios community team. Yesterday we posted to let you know that we’re still here gathering your feedback and, more importantly, working to get info from the team we can share. We didn’t want you to think the silence meant nothing was happening. We're sorry and understand this was not the right approach, and we’ll work to make a better bridge between you and the dev team at BGS.
We’re posting an article today that has further information about the upcoming updates that were mentioned a few weeks ago. In addition, we’re aiming to get you the patch notes for these updates quicker and will have them available for December 4th’s update later this week. Probably Thursday or Friday. We’d like to make these articles weekly to make sure you know what the studio is working on as it relates to issues you may be experiencing, quality of life requests you have, or new features they’re excited to share.
Please take a look at the below to see what we’re posting today on Fallout.com, and as always, let us know if you have any thoughts or feedback. This article covers high-level issues being worked on as the patch notes will go at length into what’s being fixed with each update.
December 4, 2018 – Next week’s update will bring an increase to the Stash limit, as well as a variety of performance and stability improvements, balance changes, and multiple bug fixes to the game. We’ll have full patch notes available later this week ahead of Tuesday’s update. Some notable issues being addressed in this update include:
Stash Limit Increased: We know many of you have been asking for an adjustment to the Stash storage limit, and we’re happy to share that we’re increasing it from 400 to 600. While this is somewhat conservative, we plan to increase the storage cap further once we verify that this change will not negatively impact the stability of the game.
Boss Loot: Players should correctly receive two to three items after taking down a boss, depending on the creature’s difficulty and level.
Cryolator Effects: Players hit with the Cryolator are now Chilled, Frosted, or Frozen depending on how many times they are hit. The duration of movement speed reductions applied by these effects have also been decreased from 2 hours to 30 seconds.
Respawning When Overencumbered: We’ve resolved an issue affecting players who die while overencumbered that only allowed them to Respawn at Vault 76. Now, overencumbered players will be able to respawn at the nearest discovered Map Marker.
Stuck in Power Armor: We’ve addressed an issue in this patch that could cause players to become stuck inside Power Armor. We’re also aware that there are some additional cases where this can occur, and we are actively investigating them.
December 11, 2018 – The next update after December 4 is currently planned for the following week. Like previous patches, it will include a variety of bug fixes, but we’re also planning to bring some more notable changes and features to the game. You can catch a preview of these improvements below, and a full list of changes will be included in the December 11 patch notes.
PC Additions: A Push-to-Talk setting for Voice Chat, 21:9 resolution support, and a Field of View setting are all being implemented on PC with this update.
SPECIAL Respec: After level 50, you’ll be able to choose between a new Perk Card, or moving a SPECIAL point you had previously allocated.
C.A.M.P. Placement on Login: Your C.A.M.P. will no longer be automatically blueprinted and stored if someone is occupying your location when you log into a server. Instead, you’ll receive a notification that your space is occupied. If you decide to find a new home for your C.A.M.P. on that server, it will be free to do so. However, if you don’t attempt to place down your C.A.M.P., you will be able to switch to a new server where that spot is vacant and your C.A.M.P. will be fully assembled and waiting for you.
Bulldozer: This is a new C.A.M.P. feature that will allow you to remove small trees, rocks, and other obstructions so it’s easier to create and place your C.A.M.P. when and where you want it. You can also use the Bulldozer to clear these items from the surrounding area to make your C.A.M.P. feel more like home!
Thank you, and please don’t stop letting us know how we can improve our communication and what else needs to be addressed in the game. Once we finalize the patch notes for the December 4 update, we’ll be sure to post them here and all patch notes and weekly updates going forward.
Cryolator Effects: Players hit with the Cryolator are now Chilled, Frosted, or Frozen depending on how many times they are hit. The duration of movement speed reductions applied by these effects have also been decreased from 2 hours to 30 seconds.

I like anything that adds purpose to leveling beyond 50. Right now its just a dick waving competition after you get past a certain point where all your perk card builds are set up.
I assume all these refunds are talking about downloads, because I have never in my life ever been able to return an opened physical video game anywhere.
PSN: mxmarks - WiiU: mxmarks - twitter: @ MikesPS4 - twitch.tv/mxmarks - "Yes, mxmarks is the King of Queens" - Unbreakable Vow
Nice stash increase (with more coming). Love the way they're doing the respec. ADORE the bulldozer plan.
Indeed. I'm tempted to start my big ol' Melee/Heavy Weapons alt now and wait for the Stash increase to get back to my main. I am far too eager to march around the Wasteland, laying down death and judgment with a .50 M2.

I love this respec option. This was exactly what I thought they should do. You now have two options when you want a completely different build: start a new character or lvl a bunch to fix it. Free respec would basically mean there is no reason to ever create a new character.

I personally don't consider that a respec (and didn't expect it to be completely free, either), but to each his own. I personally won't touch this flaming piece of shit with a ten foot pole, so I guess my opinion doesn't really matter. :P

Why does there need to be a reason to create a new character?
Edit: And I ask that as someone who has a severe case of altitis.
How about I just fix the character I like right away and continue playing. How about that.
Better than nothing, though, and the other changes are nice (get that stash to 800 at least, mine is almost full atm with like no spare gear in it. I probably need to purge chems and bobby pins that weigh too damn much).
I purchased through the Bethesda launcher on launch eve and requested a refund via their help/ticket system on the 21st.
I’d played a non negligible amount of hours, a character in the high teens.
I just laid out a concise list of my issues and complaints about the game, plus stated I was very unhappy that the game went on significant sale barely a week after release.
My refund got processed in just over 12 hours.
Still keeping a half eye on the thread to see how the game evolves. I will hopefully jump back in some day, but it just depends on what they change and when.
Does anyone know if the 10mm submachinegun (NOT the 10mm pistol) counts as an automatic pistol or as an automatic rifle? I've become quite fond of how it fires and murders things, but I want to make sure I grab the right perks for it.
