I ask you to consider if we are currently in a Nicholas Cage renaissance
This might be the best year he's ever had
Mom & Dad was pretty well-liked, Mandy was critically adored, and Spider-Verse looks like it's going to be a genuine phenomenon that he's a beloved aspect of
and, most important of all, he finally got to play Superman
Mandy is a strong contender for my favorite film of the year. Cage is incredible in it.

I thought it was pretty cheap how the fight between Orm and Aquaman was stopped by them both realizing their moms shared the name Atlanna

Nic Cage is legitimately not just one of the greatest movie actors alive but one of the greatest movie actors period
This is what people really mean when they say "you'll get more conservative as you get older" because that was their experience. They got richer as they aged. What they forget is they're grinding down younger generations under their boot, so young generations aren't getting more wealthy the way they did. Colbert is like "oh you will understand when you're old. I didn't get it when I was a spry 45 year old. But now that I'm 55 I get it." No, you're just a hell of a lot richer now.
Oh, the latter. Would love to make one, but I don’t have many friends or contacts that are actors. Or much equipment available. Or a script. lol

One of the cool little touches I loved about Into The Spider-Verse is how instead of bokeh and depth of field blur, they used Ben-Day dots and out-of-registration colors.

Beg pardon?
So, in normal film/photography, when something is out of focus (too close/too far from the lens), you get depth of field blur. You see it all the time in movies. Looks like this:
In Spider-Verse, instead of doing the blur effect for objects/people that are "out of focus" they use deliberately mis-registered colors, which is basically a printing mistake from old comics -- because each color is printed one at a time, sometimes they wouldn't align quite right so you get an effect like this:
It's most noticeable in a few scenes where a character's back is very close to the camera and they're out of focus. It's a cool look that's a neat nod to the comics and accomplishes the same thing as depth of field blur in a way that fits with the look of the film even better.

Google translate says "Mech God of War The ultimate preview: national armor super burning against subversive imagination"

The Xia Qingqiu of the demon world crossed into the heavens, killing the lover of Wukong and fleeing to the human world. Wukong succeeded in killing Xia Qingqiu with the help of the human brother Xiaowu, but the death of Xia Qingqiu awakened Yang Lan, who was imprisoned in the Heavenly Prison. This is like, power rangers, iron man, journey to the west, and like, a couple other different things all smooshed together.
Lemme take a stab at it.
Edit: “Mecha War Gods: Sun Wu Kong”
Sun Wu Kong is the Buddhist name given to the Monkey King (which, incidentally is pronounced “Son Goku” in Japanese).
Heaven and hell made their own power armor? That seems excessive
Is Heaven and Hell ever not excessive?
I mean that's basically Warhammer 40K.
Seems more like a sequel (I don’t recall Wu Kong having a lover in Journey), but it seems pretty clearly to be using characters from it.
I mean, arc reactor is basically science magic.

The difference between most sci-fi and most fantasy tends to be aesthetics.
“Magic” that looks like “science” usually makes me go “blegh, why?”.
It is not really a defensible reaction
That's a damn shame
I wasn't expecting much, but I was really hoping to be wrong
