when i interviewed ripper owens for college radio, he refused to say anything bad about the movie other than he thought it woulda been neat if it had actually followed his life story, like it originally did.

i didn't bring it up when i interviewed zakk wylde. he brought it up himself. considering the first thing he did when he met me, a stranger, was hug me then toss me a beer, i didn't have the heart to trash it.

these are all my stories re: being a shitty teen dj and the smash hit mark wahlberg movie "rock star"

Oh geez, did he partially blind that guy too?

In his heart he's partially blinded all Asian people.

"Endgame" is way better than any of the titles I thought they would give the Avengers. My money was on "Eternity War" as the best possible option and "Time War" as worst, although honestly if they just leaned into it and called it "Time Fight" it would be great again.

I'm sad they didn't go with my suggestion:

Scott and Ghost Go To White Castle Avengers Compound

Ah, it stinks, it sucks, it's anthropologically unjust

I still kind of wish the title was Avengers Forever, but doing that title without Kang on a motorcycle would be kind of a waste.

Honestly that ain't a perfect apology

But in context, it's a pretty good apology

It's actually a good apology in that it admits wrongdoing and apologizes for the wrong doing, rather than couching it in equivocating language.

But it's also right on the heels of that last defensive rant so I'm skeptical it wasn't just written by a really good PR rep.

It is also worth noting that that particular material was addressed with an apology before, so from that certain perspective I can see how the "rantish" feeling of his statement is excusable. If I were putting myself in his shoes, this is material he did about 10 years ago, expressed regret since then, made his apology and tried to put it behind him. Then after achieving something he has dreamed of doing his whole life. people dredged it up again. Hell I am Bi, Trans and polyu and I made jokes when I was younger about all of those subjects that I deeply regret. I am ashamed of that, but it would also make me angry if people simply refused to let me be a better person. Granted he was a 30 year old man and I was in my late teens but still...I could see getting defensive when it appears very much to be an attempt to hurt you when you have worked hard to be a better person.

Inside of a dog...it's too dark to read.

I had an alright time watching Mortal Engines. Honestly everything felt pretty clumsy and awkward except for the city designs, but flipping my brain over to "I'm browsing art station" mode made it work decently enough

"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor

Given the Kermode rule that a comedy’s quality is inversely proportionate to the amount of fun the cast has on set, this can only be a good thing.
