You can use them to buy 60 gear in the final heavensward zone they pile up very quickly so feel free to spend them
You can use them for 70 gear as well now that shadowbringers is out.
One thing to note about the level 70 stuff is that you need to finish the entire 4.0 MSQ before the vendor shows up even though you will have access to the place they are in earlier than that.
Also, there is now a vendor becquse of Shadowbringers elsewhere that sells level 70 ilvl 385 gear for gil that you have access to as soon as you find them, which is way earlier than finishing all of Stormblood.
Oh holy shit. An amazingly awesome friend of mine and his wife sent me a package after their trip to Japan. included inside was some Monster Hunter, Pokemon, and various DQ things. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY.
MY VERY OWN MOOGLE CAP IRL. Oh my god im so stoked. This is amazing. I want it to be winter so I can wear it already! Now I need to glamour every one of my plates with the moogle cap so I can match in game and out.
DRK is super fun, but keep in mind while making plans at level 15 that DRK is a long ways down the road. You can't start it until you reach the start of Heavensward, which is after a deceptively long period of story quests at level 50 between the first credit roll at the end of ARR 2.0's story and 3.0 which was the launch of Heavensward, and then the job then starts at level 30 so you then need to grind it up to 50.
Shadowbringers finished. Definitely in the top group of games I've ever played, and Emet is probably the best-written villian I've ever read.
I was thinking of unsubbing after Stormblood, but this proved the team has the writing and gameplay chops to make a lot more out of FFXIV. What a god damn journey. So glad to see this getting the positive press it deserves.
I'm really glad Emet died with dignity. He was built up so well as a sympathetic figure (evil, but logical and tragic). I kind of wish this were the end of the Ascian arc, as his final words felt so fitting for it.
So if you get all the way through character creation and every server on the selected data center is full you need to quit completely out and start again? Everything on the Aether datacenter says no new characters so I guess I am out of luck tonight.

I believe you can save your character data though, so it's just a matter of loading and then trying again?
Ding 70 Gunbreaker. Trying to get it to 71 real quick, got War and Pld to 71 so I can now start the dungeon grind. Except... the queues. I feel like a Heavensward DPS class.
And, yeah, trusts are the best. Need dungeon EXP and don't want to wait for a queue? Trust. Just want to get through the damn story and actually watch cutscenes? Trust. Want to learn a dungeon (especially as a tank or healer) with no pressure? Trust.
I can understand why it likely won't be backported to old content (unless they decide to make GC squadrons work like it), but I really hope it's a mechanic that stays in the game going forward.

Man is there a way for them to dps faster? I'd rather just suffer a 5 minute queue than a 30 min dungeon with the Trusts.

No, which is the point. They're not supposed to be on par with an actual party, or else nobody would queue normally, so there's some sacrifices. Most noticeably they won't aoe.
I like trusts a lot myself, I think they're a good idea with some oddities in their design (namely having to level them after the MSQ). I think giving them a little bit of a weakness so you still want to group with others is a good part of the design.
the tank queue times have gone back to normal for me, even though healer is still dominating the roulette needed role bonuses
Alliance Roulette is averaging between 1 to 3 hours for me.

Decided to go ahead and level as SAM. I enjoy the combat and it's nice and straightforward for soloing and required group content. I'll level a tank once I get caught up MSQ wise.
Just got SAM 59, reaching the end of HW content. Stormblood here I come.
Shadowbringers MSQ done, and I even managed to go into every trial/dungeon without feeling pressured to watch videos / look up walkthroughs first. Obviously tons of hooks for the next batch of content updates, but that was a really satisfying story.
I hope it’s all a gigantic Gaius/Estinian bromance comedy.
Is it me, or is unlocking flying a lot easier this expansion? 3 zones MSQ completed (I presume), 3 zones I can fly in.
Currently working through HW and I haven't bothered unlocking flying anywhere, what a pain it is.
ALRIGHT FINE I GOT AN AVATAR

The best part of Trusts is seeing how the members of the party react to mechanics. Watching Minfilia walk a tight rope was adorable in the second dungeon.
So I've now unlocked enough combat skills that a second bar is required, and figuring out the interface options for console has been... somewhat trying. But I suppose I should actually use situational stuff like Manaward, and Blizzard IV would definitely be something I should be whacking stuff with, so on it goes and persevere I must!

There's a couple good options for expanding your hotbars out on a controller.
One of them lets you make the order of shoulder buttons matter, so R1>L1 gets a different set than L1>R1, for instance. Another lets you make holding a button a different slot iirc?

There are two ways to quickshift your bar on controller - chordal (L2>R2/R2>L2) and double tap. Between those, you have 46 slots available.

SCH right now has two pain points imo.
1) You end up with excess aetherflow and nothing to burn it on because a boss is doing avoidable things. I don't know if Energy Drain is the answer, but it feels bad to reload aetherflow like that. Maybe just make the max aetherflo higher, but still gain three stacks at a time.
2) Fairy actions are now merely oGCDs and have to be woven in between other stuff. It used to be you could order Whispering Dawn to go off during a Broil cast or something. Switching that back would make it easier to juggle the pile of oGCDs (I'd also like that on SMN for the same reason, though they can dump egi assualts during trances easily).

The healing abilities of SCH feel super powerful now though. Like you need to use one about every 2nd gcd in normal 4-man content. Maybe less if the tank knows what they are doing.

It's made worse by the fact that some of the zones (like Sea of Clouds) are split by level/MSQ. You won't be able to grab all of the currents in your first visit. So far, ShB isn't designed like that, at least from a story perspective. I have the feeling that
Not La Noscea and not Thanalan (I suck at names)
Are split, but you spend so little time in them when you first get access to them it doesn't really matter.

Thank you so much @Jeix and your wonderful wife.
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.
Now I’m getting a hankering for some tankering
Maybe i should just keep going rogue and ninja and unlock dark knight for tanking? 🤔

It's also kinda pricy. You can find the better version of the gear on the mb for less.

You're not changing my mind on this.

Man this sounds like a lot of hours
So much time setting up for very small returns. Both the cards and the heals.
I was going to level the other two healers next anyway though, so we'll see how they feel.
