Funko deserves a ton of credit for achieving so much success selling some of the most bland, generic junk possible. Funko Pops have been the new Beanie Babies for who knows how goddamned long now and they require even less creativity and effort to crank out.

June solicits are out and War of the Realms is ending that month

Which would make it the shortest event in a LONG time. Starts in April, ends in June.

    The final issue solicit:
The tides begin to turn as unexpected allies appear in a twist that will shake the heavens! Malekith’s allies are faltering at last before the might of all Earth’s heroes, but the Dark Elf King has one final trick — and it’s got a VENOMOUS bite! Out of options, the God of Thunder makes a sacrifice that will leave him forever changed. But will it be enough? And what heroes may fall in his wake? Midgard’s fate is sealed as Jason Aaron’s years-long saga comes to its epic conclusion!

Calling it, the unexpected allies are the reborn Eternals, who briefly showed up and were unceremoniously killed at the beginning of his run

Hickman's new title launches the month after.

    IT ALL COMES TOGETHER

    Here's the full solicits: https://www.newsarama.com/44367-marvel-comics-june-2019-solicitations.html

    Notable notes:
    • War of the Realms: War Scrolls #3 features "Halt and Catch Fire co-creator Christopher Cantwell and Nebula Award-winning novelist Charlie Jane Anders make their Marvel debuts with stories about Doctor Doom and She-Hulk!" I am very here for both of those.
    • Moonstone is showing up in the Giant-Man mini. Haven't seen her around in a while.
    • The West Coast Avengers are showing up in the Superior Spider-Man series the month after their series is cancelled. Not so great with the synergy there, Marvel.
    • I have a feeling Rick Jones is coming back in Immortal Hulk

I am gonna guess this is less bad timing and more Gage wanting to use those characters after cancellation to keep them active

Judging from her comments on sales on the early issues, Thompson knew WCA was dead in the water fairly early on and I have to assume she isn't the only one

Also that the X-Wide event, which technically started in February, is going to outlast it (as it still has books from the event that aren’t over by the end of June).

    That preview about Dracula
I suppose the implication that he fled Romania on foot and Russia was where he claimed asylum kind of suggests the writer's geopolitical knowledge is thirty years out of date.

Doesn't help I was reading about Chernobyl and it feels like a big red flag, like "Glasgow is in England" wrong.

He specifically sought out Russia, it wasn't, just, like the first place he found.

He was planning on using his knowledge as leverage as the Russian government are a bunch of cruel bastards but he underestimate just how cruel and they played him.

Well yeah but then they just unilaterally dump him in Ukraine.

If they'd talked to Kiev or even bribed people, fine, but "Most peaceful place in our Motherland" makes the implication clear. And recent events kinda colour that for me.

And it's not like there aren't exclusion zones in Russia proper they could have sent him to.

I was addressing the first part of your post

The part where he was in Chenobyl is 100% just because the end result is Dracula In Chernobyl which is such a purely comic books idea that I don't really have a huge problem with it being off with the real world

This solicit for Journey into Mystery is just

    Its perfect
When Balder the Brave’s unofficial babysitter’s club runs out of cash in Nevada, they hit on a foolproof plan: a casino heist! They just have to disguise a few famous heroes, a cyborg, an Asgardian god and a talking dog to do it. With the luck of baby Laussa on their side, nothing could go wrong! Unless of course they stumble upon…a convention of SUPER VILLAINS? What the heck, Nevada. Looks like the heroes will need a miracle in the desert to get out of this one!

There's a cool thing on the Spider-Verse Blu-Ray called Alternate Universe Mode, it's an alternate cut of the movie that cuts some stuff and also adds a bunch of cut scenes, a lot of it storyboards (I didn't watch the whole thing)
They add Ganke back in for a lot of early stuff, and Miles is bitten by the spider when hanging out with him, nothing to do with Uncle Aaron which is real different. Also there's a good bit where Ganke and Miles watch Spider-Man: The Motion Picture, with a commentary track from Will Gluck and Spider-Man, it's pretty great. iO9 has a writeup with a lot of the major differences.

They were basically every animating trick that exists at once, as far as I understand.

The whole animating on 2's while keeping the motion relative to the camera smooth and on 1's was sooooo good.

I think that was only for Miles, though. Each character had their own animating style, which is what made the whole thing nuts

I do not think there will be a post credits scene in endgame.

I do think however at the end of the credits

"Steve Rodgers will never be forgotten."

    Line fades out.

    "Captain America will return."
