I finished off Giana Sisters last night, a platformer game that gets tricky in the last levels. Not Super Meat Boy tricky but tricky enough you'll die a dozen times. It was an alright game but wait for it to go on sale. https://store.steampowered.com/app/223220/Giana_Sisters_Twisted_Dreams/
Are the metal gear games legend of zelda games in different contexts and with different puzzles?
No. Zelda games are (mostly) good and Metal Gear games are not.

In their defense (ugh) Metro Exodus was different to those in that it had a Steam product page and was actively taking pre orders directly through Steam.
Did The Outer Worlds have that yet? I wasn’t following it.
Phoenix Point is pretty different because their funds were so far through Kickstarter and a third party website for pre orders, with the promise of a Steam or GoG key on release.
What he seems to be talking about is they wouldn’t go after (using my earlier posts example) something like Mortal Mombat 11, which like Metro Exodus has Steam product page and it taking pre orders directly through Steam.
Metal Gear as in the MSX games?
Or the Metal Gear Solid series?
And why would anyone compare those games to Zelda, they have absolutely nothing in common

The Other World, Satisfactory, and Industries of Titan all had store pages on Steam (Other World and Industries of Titan still do), you are correct in that none of these games were taking preorders before it was announcend that Epic had moneyhat'ed exclusivity.
Phoenix Point had had a successful kickstarter promising a Steam edition, which seems pretty dishonest to then pull it as a Steam game.
So on one hand, they are correct in that they haven't pulled other games like Metro. But on the other hand, they still kinda have with Phoenix Point and even games that were planned in the future still had a presence on Steam and were building some word of mouth as upcoming products on Steam.

Fun thing concerning all the recent discussions of competitive storefronts: the game is available nearly everywhere. So far it's on Steam, of course, but also on Epic, on GOG, or you can buy it straight from Paradox themselves. In my ideal world, it's how it should be.
you know how people apparently have a little angel or devil on their shoulder that helps them decide things?
mine is called @Karoz and he greatly simplified if I needed Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice by gifting it to me before I could decide.

Metal Gear games are (generally) good if they have an odd number in the title.
I'm totally going to defend MGS2 here. It got a lot of criticism when released because everybody wanted to play as Snake for the whole game, but it's fine in terms of gameplay and the actual message of the plot is scarily more relevant today than when it was released.
It's not like DMC where some of the entries to the series are so bad that you should just outright skip them; if Konami ever sort themselves out and release the games on Steam then they're all worth playing.

Yeah, so much of the stuff they talked about with digital information and control of what gets shown to people and how that influences the public are increasingly relevant. It's pretty great. Plus, I think Raiden is a pretty good character. And the cleanup rig is a pretty good setting. And as much shit as the game gets for having that opening thing be the only Snake bit, it was still a really cool section.
Oh my god, Sekiro is one of the best games ive ever played. Ive attempted one of the first few bosses hundreds of times, died so much, but goddamn do I love this game. If you like From Software games, this is their best work yet.
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.
I like MGS2 well enough, and I agree it's only become more startlingly relevant. And even MGS4 certainly has its moments. But I don't hold them in the same regard as I do 1, 3 and 5.
Pre-ordered Bloodlines 2. The first pre-order I've done in years. Mostly because I want it on Steam, not on Epic.
Aye. Even sprung for the Blood Moon edition. I'd be curious to see the numbers on pre-ordering for this one.
Same. The in-game commentary is something I'd use, and getting expansions up-front for this is worth it to me. I would have done the same with Witcher 3 in retrospect.

In this crazy world, pre-ordering something on Steam is no longer a guarantee you'll get it on Steam at release, as Metro Exodus pre-orders can tell you. (And Phoenix Point backers, one step removed.)

The Metro Exodus guys got it on steam though, I thought?? It was taken off the store but those who had pre-ordered it were still given a copy of the game.

Uninstalled epic after picking up oxen free.
Oxenfree is free
If you want to get the free games you can do it by visiting the Epic Store via a web browser, no need to use the Epic launcher for that.
Yes, I know it does not seem to make much sense since you still need the client to download and launch them. But at least this way you can avoid the launcher to get the games in the hope that it will be decrapied in the future.

Boy oh boy can I tell you folks how I feel about making a game free that can be played on all platforms, but you have to use a launcher to play it, that isn't cross-platform, and is currently rated a Bronze for emulation?
