Ummm ... I got the impression that the Wolf wasn't supposed to be easy. I mean, he's a boss level character ... he's ... you know ... supposed to be hard. I don't like him because he is stingy. I mean, if I fight his ass and his big pool of health and damage reduction at least give me a rare/gold mod. But nope we get silver mods for fighting the biggest bullet sponge in the game. The risk-reward for fighting him is just not there. At least RNGesus was NOT on my side the 7 or so times I've fought him (I've seen/heard him more than 10 times though).
Also, as an aside ... I LOL'ed when you guys said Wolf likes it takes more damage in the butt ... yeah ... seems about right.
I was doing a relic run in the void, leveling Equinox and two weapons, when the wolf shows up. I was prepared for something tough as I had my synoid gammacor with me. This thing is sortie ready to put it mildly. So imagine my surprise when I was tickling the level 71 wolf for tens of damage per second. The rest of my team faired no better. DE lost their fucking minds with this guy. We were doing mobile defense so I just went ahead and finished the last 2 while my team distracted the wall o' hp. My first taste definitely did not leave me wanting more.
Shooting the wolf in the butt seems to deal more damage with high ROF low damage per shot weapons. Also the groin. but mostly the butt. Radiation and crits. Unless you have someone stripping armor.
If the other guys on your team don't have proper weapons, amps can hurt him a bit more (tell them to use them), 5k or so crits in the butt. 3k crits to the head using old meta amp.
Was on a run where someone said aim for his spine, but IDK if that works better or not.
Strip armor how? Cant status, cant use abilities.
There's a kavat mod for armor stripping, and I think a melee mod as well.
It was that somehow, from within the derelict-horror, they had learned a way to see inside an ugly, broken thing... And take away its pain.

I ran into him yesterday and he is definitely tougher than previous weeks. He showed up as a level 70 and I didn't pay attention to his level before, but he was barely taking damage from weapons that cut him down quick before.

I JUST saw his broke ass again (and yeah I'm aware that before this he was a prisoner but come on guy ... at least rob the Corpus and Grineer while you were wreaking havoc). For what it's worth he does take it in the butt pretty well ... pause. I consciously shot him in the groin and/or butt and I was able to kill him much easier than before with the same weapons. I guess his cup armor is weak to direct attack. He dropped *drum roll* Eleventh Storm ... FFS ... at least they should put something good in his drop table. In much better news I was able to semi-solo him (although his level was low and I had just deployed a specter) but I'll take that win ... it was all I got out of the fight ... pride.
I've been doing Marduk runs and saw him twice there this week. First time I dumped all my ammo into him and gave up when he was still at half life. After that I started bringing my Eidolon Lanka and it went better but he's still ridiculous.

According to the wiki Wolf is now much tankier than before thanks to his Sentient enhancements making him take a flat 25% less damage and no longer taking extra damage from headshots

On my last encounter when I shot him in the head I was not doing much, if any, damage to him. Once I started shooting him in the groin/pelvis area his hp started going down. I saw him yesterday on Switch so this may not apply to PC who have the latest hotfixes and patches. Matter of fact ... now that I think about it ... disregard what I was saying since I can't say if this works on his current PC build. My main problem with him isn't his tankiness ... he is SUPPOSED to be tanky. My problem with him is this ... if we have to fight this bag of bullet sponge from hell then at least make his drops worth the trouble. He should only have gold/rare mods in addition to his hammer parts in his drop table. I believe that the hammer parts are actually a myth ... anybody who has gotten a hammer part ... is a dirty dirty liar ... you blessed bastards.
In other news, I just got MR8. A whole eight ... Space Mom ... I'll soon be ten eventually and a big boy.
Hmmm. Getting walled by quests/planet completion on Neptune. I just unlocked my Operator, and am trying to get through the Pluto Junction and unlock more quests to open up Titania and Nidus
How do I increase power after maxing Affinity on, say, Mag? Or rather, what Mods should I work on maxing out first? If I don't have fully maxed out Shield and Health levels, how far till I can't solo?
What about the same question, but for Primary and Secondary weapon damage mods?
How do I get stronger without relying on Inaros and his stupid high durability?

Main ways to increase mod capacity is to install an Orokin Reactor, doubling your mod capacity from 30 to 60, and using forma to "polarize" a slot, halving the mod drain if they match. Equip an Aura mod for a bonus + more cap, and an Exilus Adapter to unlock a bonus mod slot. Aura mods can be bought using the Nightwave creds, or trade from people who farmed them when they were still alerts. The best Exilus mods are from Lua puzzles.
More powerful mods are the "Primed" versions and are purchased from some dude who comes every two weeks. This is a mechanic I dislike since this is really slow.
You can buy some niche mods from syndicates which can be game changers. Corrupted mods are interesting depending on the build.
But for Mag specifically I don't have any advice.
If you're on PC I can help with the syndicate, aura, and exilus mods.

I have a lot of stuff (no primed mods, but now that I know about them I'll keep my eyes open).
The question is, should I always be using reactors on my frames and weapons? And then, relatedly, what mods are the most critical for increasing power if I'm being walled by level 30-40 stuff?

(I'm on Ps4 sadly)
The most critical mods for increasing damage are the plain damage base ones (Serration/Point Blank/Hornet Strike/Pressure Point) and the Elemental ones (so, Molten and the like). This is because these guys stack multiplicatively with each other, instead of additively.
As for potatoes, well, levels 30-40 is around the point where you should absolutely have at least potato'd your weapon, yeah. Mag specifically is kind of squishy, so you probably want to make sure to max both vitality and shields. This may require tossing a Forma at her, because maxed Vitality takes a lot of points!
If you're soloing, being cautious and not trying to Rambo things is actually pretty important, as is bringing the best tool for the job. Don't be afraid to change to Frost for Defense missions, and so on, and checking what damage types to bring against each type of enemy. Personally I did the last bits of the starchart in full Metal Gear mode, using a silent weapon and picking off people, because I knew that if more than eight or so enemies saw me I was probably dead.
When you say "forma" do you mean her aura slot or other slots inside? I think I forma'd her aura slot to match energy siphon, but I'll work on leveling up my damage and survivability mods as well

A normal slot. Basically both Vitality and Redirection use Vazarin polarity (the one that looks like a door wedge) and both take like 12 drain maxed, so a forma to reduce that to 6 is generally a good idea. For releveling her, you can just turn off solo for a bit and go to Helene in Saturn, it's one of the most popular leveling spots in the game so there'll always be people there to carry you while you get her back to speed.
Do you have her Counter Pulse augment? It can make a huge difference to survivability with Mag.
Sadly, no. I fucked up back in the day and ruined my rep with both factions that offer her augments, so unless someone on Ps4 can toss me crush and counterpulse I've got a ton of grinding to do.
I can toss you some mag augments on PS4 if you can catch me on there. I'm in a different clan than Furlion's clan so you'll have to check the "alliance" chat tab.
Also with Mag, you can abuse Magnetize by using a projectile weapon (Cestra/Supra/Boltor) with a punch through mod installed. The projectiles will fly around inside the magnetize bubble hitting things several time for lotsa damage. You need the punch through mod on your weapon and some range on Mag so that the Magnetize bubbles are big enough to encompass many enemies.
So did the Nightwave end yesterday? I've been playing other things since I hit rank 30.
It will be going until May 15th according to both Prime Time and the Warframe forums. I guess the new series wasn't ready for primetime yet. That's the only reason I can see for them extending it beyond the initial 10 weeks they said. It also allows them to gather a bit more data so that they can make necessary changes to the next series.

I would only use reactors, catalysts, forma, and exilus adapters on weapons and frames that you are going to use constantly (and then use all of them till it's perfect).
For me that usually means Prime frames and weapons.
There is a prime version of Mag. Not sure if it's vaulted on PS4, but if not I would make that my priority.
Mag is vaulted on all platforms afaik. But's been unvaulted a few times IIRC. So you can probably grab her for ~50 plat. Maybe less. Or she shows up when people are popping old relics for ducats.
“I used to draw, hard to admit that I used to draw...”
Magus Lockdown is a fun arcane. Being able to kill enemies in a bow only sortie by just void dashing near them multiple times is a treat.
I've been using that a lot lately as well. It's pretty useful when I do Arbitrations on Hildryn since her exalted weapon doesn't damage the little drones but the lockdown does freeze them so that I can kill them with my amp. That's easier than having to turn off helicopter and her exalted just to get a regular weapon out which also has the risk of everything getting un-cc'd and blapping me.
I honestly do NOT have the energy to figure out how to sell the prime parts I have for plat in order to get plat to buy other prime frames on the PS4 without the ability to easily type
I guess I gotta figure it out though, since i have a variety of prime parts collecting dust in my inventory and want mag and nova prime (at least)

It's a third party auction house. People post their stuff with a price and then the user can search for the stuff they want with some minor parameters. Once you find the person you want to buy from you hit the copy/paste icon on the right and it'll give you a premade message to send them in game.
The site will display you as either offline, online, or online in-game. Offline if you're not on the site, and if you're on the site you pick which of the other two it shows you as. So, just leave the tab open with your status set to online in-game while you're playing and eventually someone will message you about what you're selling or buying.
