    No one's done it yet. Leaving me to be the insufferable nerd:

    Apex is referring to the PMC bad guy supremes in Titanfall 2 Apex Predators. A company whose founder Blisk literally has a quote of "I kill you, I'm better. You kill me, you're better," because the asshole lived and breathed whatever inspires Battle Royales.

    It's still a terrible name and kind of a shame the game doesn't seem to tie that lore into the game's theme but there's at least something of a reason for it.

    I was surprised Blisk lived to old age. He didn't seem like the type to survive the war.
