/s is a marker that the preceding sentence/statement should be taken as sarcastically. Because it's the internet and there are so many dumb opinions out there that someone will probably mistake your sarcasm for your actual opinion without something telling them explicitly that you were being sarcastic.

Yeah. Most web forums/message boards that I used to post on have died. It's weird seeing this one is still around and doing well, considering I started posting on it in 2004 as a late 20-something.

Kids are strange when it comes to looking like their parents. My daughter has alternated between looking more like me or her mother several times during her life. I'd say right now she's looking more like her mom, but that probably has to do with her growing up and looking more like a young woman than a little girl.

My mother's side has a strong family resemblance that I've inherieted (people would say I looked like my mom all the time when I was growing up.)
This came to a bizarre head when she and I were visiting her Aunt and Uncle (my grandfather's siblings/in-law), who then pulled out some old photos including one of my mom and her siblings and I the resemblance between myself and my uncle was so uncanny that it actually looked like I was standing next to my teenage mother, somehow.
