Reduced the weapon reload times by speeding up the reload animations for the Colossus Heavy Weapons (Autocannons and Grenade Launchers).
God that is about damn time. I have a grenade launcher I like but the thing is so heinously slow to reload that it isn't worth bothering with.
Definitely agree on the faster reloads. Here's hoping they can adjust the damage the guns do in higher difficulty levels because at least for GM2 they're rubber noodles unless they're legendary with god roll damage boosts.
Storm gets a lot stronger in this patch, with the repaired inscriptions, gun bug fixes, and faster cooldowns. Also holy crap the cuisinart QoL changes are amazing.
Has anyone actually played in GM2 or GM3 with the new component/gear changes? Failing any changes to the underlying additive inscription/buff system I can't imagine these changes making a heck of a lot of difference in GM2+. Which seems like a shame because it sounds like they put a ton of time and effort into these changes, but if they don't actually move the needle much on your real DPS, it's not going to actually help anything GM2+

Huh. I would have thought Shield Delay and Shield Refresh were reversed.
But yeah, buffs and QoL for all!

Wait...I just noticed they removed the cooldown on Renari's Charge.
Meaning every time you kill an enemy with Charge you get another Charge.
Oh no, teammates can pick up loot for you now? I intentionally play the floor is lava with blues and purples. I do not want to deal with dismantling all that garbage! Ugh.
If some of them work the way they sound like they do, I'm very excited to switch some of my abilities around (Seeker Missile regaining a charge when you detonate a combo? Elemental Ops adding acid effects if you get a hitstreak? Tip of the Spear restoring health on combos? INFINITE HEALTH YOU SAY????)
But also, I kind of like my Fire-fighter Ranger (Ember's Lance+Explosive Blaze+Combined Arms+Elemental Rage) and it only got better since Blaze + Arms have changed to "on hit" effects
And also now the upgraded Seeker Grenades is useable!

I also noticed this and love it! My interceptor has Renari + Sudden Death, and I love charging in, Exploding Kick, dashing out, doing it again and now it just got easier

I soloed my contracts with my ranger today on GM3. The colossus is still easier but the ranger has gotten so much better. You have all sorts of ways to prime now between your melee, elemental ops, and masterwork weapon bonuses that you can devote your assault/grenades to primers. Also the seeker missile getting a free charge on a combo is wonderful. And getting shields back on a melee means you can stay in the middle of things. It's a big step forward.

Absent further loot enhancements, I'm hoping we'll eventually get an option to immediately salvage all items at a given rarity level. It's not just dismantling stuff that's a pain, it's having limited backpack space. I'm waiting for the day I can't pick up a legendary because my backpack has a bunch of blues in it I can't drop.
Really cool that they're not only adjusting MW properties but are also reworking them. We'll probably see more reworks later, especially if they're tracking which MWs get used more than others.
The first post is almost certainly a bug? Hopefully they get a fix out for that ASAP because yeah...
The second post is... ??? I mean we knew from that start that these chests would contain vanity items in addition to some other junk. This is literally how the thing was pitched, RNG didn't play nice for that person but good news is you can only get each item once so odds only get better that they'll get the real cosmetic stuff next time. It's uhh, hard for me to get angry when something is working exactly how they described it.

Yeah. When these loot topics come up I tend to separate actual problems and people just complaining about RNG being RNG.

Something I really enjoyed about the early days of ME3 MP was getting balance changes every week (and incidentally reading how, now, the N7 Eagle was worth using). That might be too rapid a cadence for this game but I'm hoping once they get the higher priority issues sorted out we'll start getting balance changes that are not dependent on a patch going out.

Man, they can't catch a break. That's the issue with releasing a bunch of rapid fire fixes in short time.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Yeah. Kind of the problem with releasing a game in a half-finished state.
They have to show they're working on it but well...there is a reason things go through testing/certification to begin with.

Ooof the reddit area is getting MEAN right now. Apparently some folks are reporting that their elysian caches are not giving them vinyl rewards when they say the did. Not sure if they're always expecting vinyls from the caches or they saw some vinyl being looted. Still getting mixed signals if the legendary contracts are not giving their guaranteed masterwork either. The big issue seems to be that GM+ bosses are no longer dropping guaranteed masterworks now? I thought they were never guaranteed? Just a higher than normal chance? I could have sworn I've gotten all purples before on a GM1 Tyrant mine boss.
They were never guaranteed. I've gotten plenty of GM boss drops with all blues/purples. Usually I get at least one on the last boss, but before then? no promises.
Between this and the gnashing of teeth over some FF14 stuff, I have reached my limit for gamer drama. Easy enough not to read reddit or the official forums though!
I've always gotten a masterwork from GM2 stronghold bosses. Any others along the way were bonuses. This patch was supposed to give GM2 and GM3 bosses an addition roll with a higher chance for a masterwork or legendary after the guaranteed one.
I do agree that having weapon parts, javelin parts, or embers drop from the Elysium chests is a bum deal. Thankfully you can only get that drop once but it's still a basically worthless drop. I guess masterwork embers could be ok assuming you actually have the recipes for any masterwork items. I have zero despite running near full masterwork on two classes. I have maybe one or two purple recipes. Am I supposed to grind up every recipe from white to masterwork in order to get them? Why doesn't any ability or gun county towards the progress, or is that something that's being changed in this update?

The thing with that is you only get so much runway on a project before it has to take off and attempt to return the investment. There's projections of revenue to hit in certain quarters, milestones for payment (depending on how they worked this out), etc.
They already baked this for a while too; the more likely alternative to "hey should have put this back in the oven" is an Anthem that's simply not released, imo.

The way Recipes work is for weapons killing stuff will give you them with that weapon with ever increasing difficulty types for each Color, White you get for having the weapon, Green is normal, Blue is Elites, Purple is Legendary kills. You can get Masterwork Weapon Recipes by having the weapon and getting 10 Legendary kill with it and it still counts for the weapon type it is for lesser rarity recipe unlocks.
So for Weapons kill shit with it and you should eventually unlock all recipes.
For Gear it is mission/world event Completions instead of kills. Just escalating amounts for each Rarity. Before this patch it was bugged that Masterwork Gear did not count for the lower Rarity unlocks but it should count now.
So for Gear just use a Gear type for a lot to unlock the Recipes [35ish Missions/World Events for Masterwork]

Yeah. Retention is weird in games.
And honestly patching/updating can help as much as it hurts as it generates news.
I've really fallen off this, although I may log in to try elysian chests. Still like it, but have other games to play and am really wanting more story than anything. Plus all my javelins are fully MW and the upgrades started getting few and far between, so I was losing the reward loop.
Boo! Only 1 daily challenge has a key as a reward :bigfrown:
And on the PS4 the game keeps seemingly hanging in the Expedition Finished screen; if you press the Touchpad you will go immediately into the Salvage screen.
And I can confirm: GM1 Tyrant Mine, no MW at end, and I saw green ember drop from the first chest.
EDIT: when I opened my Elysian chest, I saw in the bottom left corner appear “1 Elysian Artifact”, but I have no clue where it went; it wasn’t converted to a vinyl/animation/costume part, and I found nothing in the Vault.
EDIT2: My Legendary GM1 contracts all gave 1 MW, and in one I got a Legendary autocannon of a type I didn’t had with +225% Weapon Dmg!
The final boss in Strongholds gave a guaranteed MW, but you could never get a Legendary or more than one MW. This was only the final boss on GM1 and above
Which is part of the reason why people were bailing on Strongholds after the second chest, since the boss could never drop a Legendary
This patch was supposed to make it so that it would still guarantee one MW, but with the possibility of more. Though they seem to have fucked something up?

Honestly, I play a few hours every now and then but I've never been a big grind person and I'm more interested in narrative expansions. Also, my backlog is huge so I never dedicate too much time to any one title. Why GaaS are never really my thing.
The Lengendary mission is Incursion, with an unskippable middle cutscene where the Monitor zaps the Corvus agent, and an inskippable almost-end scene where you controls get scrambled. No MW dropped for me at GM1, and there were 2 Furies that appeared (one in the middle bit, one at the end).
The mission ends with a chest that you have to open (it was purps)
The way it is supposed to work is between the Chest and a guaranteed Apex creature the loot should be pretty good for a repeatable mission that is not as difficult as a Stronghold. Obviously there may be some bugs going on right now.

Aye looks like Bioware confirmed Stronghold boss loot is bugged now, as well as party-mates picking up drops for you.
Due to having no loading time when entering the Forge, if you enter via the Launch Bay, your Javelin just stands there. Because of this you can get kicked for inactivity even though you're busy in the Forge.

This is mostly related to 2018 Q3 earnings(name BF5 which was released in a unfinished) but wouldn't be surprised if other stuff is included.
Shame for all the layoffs and I feel EA management takes a big part of the blame in this having released a string of unfinished titles.
That said I wonder if anyone in management will get replaced cause honestly that seems to be where the issues keep coming from.
But yeah, buffs and QoL for all!
