It's great, at least mine is.

I just sometimes have trouble remembering to sync it before I sync the controller. Other than that, it works very well.

Only thing is, it's weird to use the mute button. You have to reach up and tap the power button (on your ear), which is more awkward than just the mute toggle that the wired headset had.

I used my friend's for a bit and thought it was pretty good and comfortable. When we play the voice quality is good too. For what it's worth I plan on picking one up.

Awesome in every resepect, cept the mic is a bit too sensitive and it doesn't cancel game sounds as well as the wired headset.

I bought one used, and I'm still getting used to it. I don't play online that much. I'm glad I got one, though, with the ChatPad being released fairly soon, so I can use both together.

Glad to see the positive feedback this thing as getting, as just today I started to entertain thoughts of picking one up myself!

To those who have it, is it comfortable for prolonged use? Never know when I might have a marathon gaming session, especially with that little Halo 3 beta coming this week. :)

I have one and I usually play Gears for 6 hours at a time, comfy as hell.

Only complaint is maybe 1 out of 50 games it makes a weird buzzing noise to everyone else and I have to power cycle it to stop the noise. Its a pretty minor complaint (despite what most people say), and I'd definitely recommend it to the ones with wire-phobiaites out there.

Love it. All around better than the wired headset, even (surprisingly) in sound quality.

Alright, I'm buying one tomorrow. I had heard about the buzzing complaints, glad to hear that it's not so bad. I shall come back hopefully with plenty of good things to say tomorrow!

EDIT: I did some more reading about it, It seems that the potential issues of sync problems and feedback noise and whatnot may be related to the revision of controller you're using with the headset. I have the latest revision of the controller, so I'm good to go. Linkage to youtube video about problems/solution : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpVuoKn-DOA

I still have the issue and I have an elite, and I'm using the black controller, so who knows. Like I said, very rare occurance though.

Okay, so I bought one this morning and I charged it up. Just tried it out for a while and I've gotta say, it's completely awesome! Comfortable, and with improved sound quality to boot. Thanks so much everyone for your comments and OP for starting this thread! After all the crap I'd heard about these headsets I'd been avoiding them, but nice to see that it was all in fact crap and not to be trusted.

This will come in really handy for the Halo 3 beta.

Before you have it, you wonder why you'd need it. After you've used it for a while, you wonder why it took you so long to get it.

Mine acts stupid when synchronizing it every once in a while, but it just takes turning it off and on once or twice to get it working.

Once that's done, though, it's great.

That was a fantastically well done video. Good link, I say.

Is the quality really all that good for the outgoing (i.e., the people listening to you)? I considered buying one when they first came out, but decided against it as people said the quality of listeners was kind of meh.

But I do keep breaking all the wired headsets I buy (I think it's my big melon), so... yeah.

    Thanks!

The quality of the outgoing signal seems really good, a little better than the wired even I'd say. A good way to test it was to send some voice messages to a friend, so I could hear the output recording. They sounded pretty darn good. I'm sure I'll get more feedback once the Halo 3 beta starts tomorrow and sooo many people are playing.

And Aegies, yes, you said it perfectly. :)
