okay what (VPN Issues?)

Okay now I was at the local university with my Macbook, using Firefox. They require a VPN to actually access anything further then the main website. I found this out by connecting and trying to access a couple sites. PA page included. Now Im at home and the couple pages are still redirected to the university page.
This shouldn't happen. How do I fix this?
