Just got my first non-dagger artifact: +dark katana.
Sephiroth and Shadow both can't equip swords (which I've got plenty of +dark for), and they both get bonuses with Katana. Most every other physical dark person can use the sword, so the extra bonus for katana seemed worthwhile over dagger.
I need to stop upgrading my artifacts as high as I do, though. I'm getting low on rainbow crystals

I haven't spent any. I don't see anything being the final push for anything I've yet to clear, so I'm mostly hibernating in this game.
I bought some old stuff I’ve wanted for a while (Gogo V’s SSB, for instance), but have held off on spending rank 2s. I could get some LMRs that I’ve wanted, but I’m trying to hold to the idea of saving that until I need a specific thing.
I'm 99% sold on the idea of picking up OK mUSB. I don't have a chain for the final magicites I have to clear (Holy, Dark and Magic Wind) so I'm sure I will need it.
I'm 80% sold on the idea of picking up Deuce's BSB since I don't have either a Medica or a Boostga for that Torment.

Deuce BSB isn't enough healing for part 3 unless your DPS is insane.
Tier 1:
I picked up Tyro SSB because the poor lad can use all the ATK he can get. Might pick up some healer SSBs at some point to help with Torments. I already have most of the usable SSBs, so these will probably go to upgrade scrolls eventually.
Tier 2:
Trying to be very conservative with these since they seem to be the most rare. Considering Celes LMR (double spellblade) since I got her Awakening in fest, but the problem with that is I'm not using her for spelblades, I'm using her for knight stuff. Will probably keep hanging onto these until I get an awakening/synchro for someone who needs a dualcast LMR (e.g. Terra)
Tier 3:
Don't think I have reached 1000 yet to pick a USB. Not sure where I'd want to spend it, anyway. Might use it to round out someone's Awakening. Really wish I could pick up Sora's USB, for instance, but alas.
Tier 1: Raijin SSB. Will probably get Tyro healing grimoire on principle. There's a couple others I'm considering, but nothing seriously.
Tier 2: nothing yet. Keeping these until I need them I would have gotten some dark stuff. If I hadn't already done Earth Odin, I'd probably have gotten Bartz's enEarth BSB to have the full set.
Tier 3: not enough yet. Once more, will wait until I need, but will prioritize healing for torment, or buffing for awakening. Relm USB and Bartz USB are current front runners.
Got Garnet’s Enveloping Warmth SSB off the daily draw. A MAG buff and HP stock “heal” is still neat kit for a Bard/Summoner. Might be nice alongside her Chain, or in the Torment.

I’m staring to feel like I’m having a bit of burn out with this game. It’s Odin, I think. He’s the only thing besides Dreams that are a serious challenge to my game af the moment, and he’s so far beyond me at the moment that I’m finding little to do. I’ve noticed in recent months that I’m doing barely more than 3 missions a day, and have been leaving events until almost the end to actually finish. Haven’t used a stamina potion in over a month, too. Maybe I’m just in a rut, but I’ve less enthusiasm for doing things in this game, lately.
yeah I feel you @Enlong. I was there a few months back when Belias was blocking my progress. It's weird too because until 6* magicites arrive there isn't much "to do". Still, it's still a game and if you feel burnt out just take a break. I remember that's what I kinda did and just did the bare minimum (farming crystals/magia).
Yeah, I wonder if I'm almost done with the game, too? There's content that's trivial, and there's content that's too damn hard, and there's not a lot of in between. And the game is very stingy with draws, so there's not even really the promise of new characters and combinations to play around with.
I've started playing FF14 instead, and it's done wonders for the 'filling the bars with unlimited progression' itch.
I used to be able to play this game in the idle moments, logging in momentarily here and there to do several things, but that's flat out not possible for high-end content now.
yeah, FF14 feels that itch. It's too bad I can't really play FF14 when there's downtime at my desk. To be honest, I just don't see me doing other gacha games. I briefly dabbled in BE and I just don't feel it. And, ironically, despite being 3D, Omnia feels less flashy than RK.
I've heard good things about Dragalia but it still isn't available in my region and I'm too lazy to mess with my phone. Worst case scenario, I end up buying a Dragon Quest game.
I've been in the same boat for awhile now. May be playing more out of habit than anything else. Of course I'm well behind you having yet to take out a single 5* magicite. Magicite in general really killed my enthusiasm. Tough fights are great, tough fights that need to be farmed are not nearly as great.
The mental energy required to beat the 5*'s is really more than I'm looking for on a mobile game.
In better news:
I decided to pull on the X banner and snagged Khimari awakening. Nothing else for him, but that is an excellent start.
Also daily hit: Rem USB2 (I think, not sure which is which). Pretty underwhelming especially since I have her USB1.

Not a bad suite of buffs, especially with instant cast, but reraise is just not good. That would be great if it was last stand instead.
I've been completely uninspired to learn to Odin, and lazy about finishing Torments. But otherwise, everything else gets done and all that jazz.
I'm also splitting my time playing DFFOO, and every blue moon i'll sit down and play a console game.
As for Lens use, I've picked up an Agrias SSB to complete my set, and Zidane's w-cast LMR from the tier 2. I've got enough for another LMR, and I'm looking at either Terra or Vincent w-cast (have AASBs for both so I figure it's a good investment).
I just realized I can pick up a USB now; I've been planning on grabbing Marche USB for a while now, but I'm also wondering if I should pick up a healing USB instead to help with Torments (Selphie probably, or Eiko or Sarah).

If I can't get something to take Deathgaze from one pull of the holy banner I will probably go into hibernation mode on this game until a holy chain becomes available again. I guess I could try and work on Torments, but it seems like too much work. Haven't actually killed any of ??? ones yet.
Oh, talk of Kimahri reminded me that that new Water Jump came out. Maybe I can finally use his Water Revenge USB in a proper water team.
...wait, this thing instantly does 4 hits? And has no jump time? This would probably be busted if literally anyone but Kimahri could also use it effectively.
...maybe Mog using one of his USBs in a physical Water team? But that’s pretty much the same use case as Kimahri, and Kimahri is better suited for doing physical damage.

I want to see how crazy we can get with soul break names/acronyms as we continue to power creep new stuff. It:s already starting to look like we're posting dna sequences whenever we talk about relics.

So, turns out the water jump does indeed have the usual air time. Still better than other 5-star jumps, but less amazing than I had first thought. The wording on the move is misleading; doesn’t mention the jump time at all.
