The charms are absolutely worth it now personally. For equipment besides jewelry they're only 10% less gold efficient than upgrading with junk equipment drops, which is nothing. It's less efficient for jewelry, but jewelry charms are both more important and harder to get.
I buy out charms and covenant bookmarks from Huche daily now and most people I know do the same.
I didn't process gear upgrades in the original question as charms. Just mentally assigned it to secret shop gear. Yeah everything else from Huche is garbo.
It depends really. If you spend your gems as you get them then you cant use them. That is what a lot of F2P players do. Never use gems and then use them to buy energy. You have friendship points for a cheap offset. You also have liefs you can go after to save up and spend on events (what I typically do). I use stigmata to get batches of dogs to level and then feed to each other/fodder mobs/etc.
But to answer your question gems seem to be the best. But you have had to already been saving them up like they were your retirement fund.
Normal tournament beaten, another copy of Sol acquired, now I have a couple days to advance story and gear level before Dizzy stuff drops. When will we learn about her skills?

Unlocked a new Labyrinth, the Great Farche Labyrinth. Looks like gear here is much better than the castle so I'll stick around and grab those golden chests
While the gold chests are nice you will get more bang for your buck out of labs on the long paths with multiple mobs on them and a boss at the end.... if you go in for farming gear.
Oh no I agree. Epic gear is great. But in the later labs and later on in mid-game and a bit later grinding heroics will be your bread n butter as they are more common and so easier to farm stat combos you want.
Gold chests have the Epic level guaranteed stuff which is why they're a priority for me. Farming comes later
You should be able to level past the first few labyrinths pretty fast so you'll be working on getting Level 50+ gear.

I didn't even unlock the second one. Jumped right to the third labyrinth. I have no idea how I'm supposed to complete it though. You run out of moral before getting about what feels like halfway through and then your characters can't take a hit anymore.

Super important labyrinth hint: you can teleport to any exit portal you’ve visited by tapping on it on the map. This costs 3 morale each time but is also the only practical way to 100% labs

Well. That wouldn't have been good to know
Oh, I got a Sven and Assassination Cidd from my galaxy pulls. Sven seems really gimmicky. But A.Cidd seems pretty rad.

Yep! This is how I visit Huche every day, just go in 1-1, portal to upper right, move left, smash one group of enemies, check Huche for bookmarks and other goodies, yield out and I get my key back.
Been working on this A. Coli for a while. She's not perfect yet (too little crit dmg, and her attack is about 10% too low), but I'm pretty pleased where she is thus far.

I think I finally understand what folks are saying about the dogs. Leveling a character to 5* needs 4 4* units, so getting your 2* dogs to 4* would help a ton. What's the best place to grind XP for a group of dogs? I read using a support unit and all fodder is the way to go.
Also I've been farming the Golem hunt hoping for health sets with speed, but would farming a speed set with health % be a better approach for Angelica? She uses health for healing but she's sooo slow right now, she always goes last and it's hard to get her 3rd skill up in time.

Speed boots always. Health set is only 15% health, which while nice, is something you could get in sub stats alone. Worry more about good pieces, and less about sets early on.
For instance, this is my Tama and Angie (Both scale on the same stats. Angie's not nearly as well geared).
You can see the priority is on the speed set, and getting health via health% ring/accessories and sub stats. I don't have a health set on Tama because it's just too much effort to get one that slots into my open spots. Angie has one, but those boots have awful sub stats, but I needed that speed main stat and the health set at least makes them usable.

Its worth noting that speed always is a meta thing that can get boring and is not 100% required. It is very nice and will allow you to progress in very specific areas but for a big portion of the game its definitely not required. Speed always means you will be fall into the same thing everyone else is doing and farming Wyvern all day every day and its not me really. I will do some where it makes the most sense for me but hey its a game heh.
Its a personal thing for me to not always build according to templates in RPGs. Like my Charles right now is in a crit and attack set and his artifact. He doesnt have crap for defense but I got his health up there to make sure he could at least have a chance against a full on assault. He works fantastic for what I use him on and while im not high in pvp because I dont push into it he no doubt surprises people because I get some surprise successful defenses. I have him with my Krau, the real tank of the team, and Angie. All 50s defending, one week defending twice successfully against 60 teams which helped that guild war heh.
Going full HP on Angie with low speed is fine. Ive seen it on many a pvp team where she goes last but takes like 4 rounds to kill. It works fine as well from what I see higher tiers as I see the same thing on LadyJubs pvping who is in Challenger I think.

Charles is not a tank. He's a big burly man who wants to smash you with a sword! He's the least tanky of tanks! Charles Smash!
While I agree that farming Wyvern all day erry day isn't really the plan. I don't see a world where you can clear high end content without a speed set and boots with speed main stat on your healer. Higher end PvE and PvP content has people moving too fast for it and your healers have low ass base speed. (Compare Angie's base of 88, to some higher end base speeds of over 110). I'd focus on just getting a main stat speed on a boot until you're farming your 70/85 gear. then focus on the sets.
You don't have to sit there trying to get speed sub stats on everything, and you definitely don't want nor need speed sets on many of your damage dealers like Ravi or Luna or Kayron or Clarissa, etc. (A. Coli/Vildred/Cidd etc. exceptions of course).

oh yea, @Jubal77 do you have a Hilag's Lance or Elbris Blade for Charles? That would likely be better for him. It punishes people who attack, Not Charles, but Charles is big burly man who you don't want to waste time attacking.

Yeah I have both I think. I should most likely give them a shot. I just like where the stars align and I can get like 5 buffs up on charles and he can be that big burly man and flex on the mob too. Sometimes when the stars align and he gets crit buff he and he procs off his one he can do a good 10k dmg easy combined.
I really like Angie. But I still bring Destina and Achates to more stuff. The Achates is one of my fav healers in overall usefulness. Plus her sitting in the bar is one of the best things in the game. Destina is just overall best grinder if you want to go traditional group makeup. She is always healing some with her 1 (burned or not) and her other heals are great too.

Yea. Angie also gets hosed by enemies that strip buffs (looking at your Karkas, Azi Hunt, and Abyss 90). She's just real nice to get you through stuff up until you're dealing with those things.
That said, with Destina and Angie, you're pretty good to go on the healing front, period.

Daily summon pulled cultist "priestess" Angelica so I guess I'm leveling her up ASAP. Figures i just put some molas in Destina
Well, I mean their god does exist. Ras was made by her!
It's not a waste to have Destina at all since you can take Destina to things you can't to Angie to.
Sure but she's just constantly on about the will of the goddess this and will of the goddess that. She's just as culty as the Ilryos people.
Also having just finished Chapter 7 I'm firmly in the camp of "fuck all the gods including Diche"
A big flaw with auto Destina I'm finding is that because her S2 heal also boosts CR she will throw it on someone when they have the Unhealable debuff instead of her S3. It is nice getting free spot healing when she attacks though, especially with a soul burn
Auto healers will heal regarless of unhealable from what ive seen heh. Angie likes to throw her 3 up as soon as its off CD too... regardless of health of group.

I've finally started getting some seeds. I'm guessing Angie's a good place for them? Seems her S3 would be pretty nice with a 1 turn cooldown. With souls you could then keep it up on going.
Other wise, I've read Sez drops off later so I'm not sure I want to boost him. Same for Mercedes, she's just my only AoE unit right now. I love Carmainerose but she's a 3* unit, making it tough to use rare seeds haha. Though she's been handling tank duty pretty well. Might try for some lifesteal gear.
