Do you, or do you not raise hell if LTTP Link does not have pink hair?
I never understood that. Link had blond hair in Nintendo's official art. Princess Peach's art on the cover of SMB (in Japan) depicted her with blond hair too. Her red hair in-game was understandable given the limitations of the Famicom/NES hardware. SNES had like a gabillion colors though.
Just got up to the Kikwii in Skyward Sword who says
it's a secret to everybody
Heheheh
Hahaha found a fish guy who said the exact same thing
Oh brilliant

An open-world version of the older games, where some kind of unlock progression is the norm rather than an entirely shallow "go where you want" experience, would probably make me pretty happy. An open-world 3D remake of LttP where the world has the proper space to feel like a kingdom and lets you switch between the Light and Dark World on the fly would make me extremely happy. Being able to look from the top of the temple in the Dark World and see Ganon's Tower flickering on top of Death Mountain miles away would be amazing.
The first couple of games just don't have enough meat on those story bones to make me happy, though.

At that point, it's a completely different game, so it might as well have its own story and identity.

The game where you can swap worlds at will does exist; it is Oracle of Ages. The first song of the Harp of Ages allows you to open time portals to the past or present at specific locations; similar to the Dark World portals you can find in A Link to the Past. The second song allows you to return to the present from any location in the past; similar to the magic mirror's effect in ALTTP. And then the third song allows you to go to the past or present from anywhere, without use of the portals.
Definitely not an open-world game, though. It's more directed, and upgrade-based.
SNES games have aged really well. The good ones anyway. All ALTTP could really use is some prettier graphics and more buttons dedicated to items. Maybe some kinda quick select for spells so I actually use them.

god SS starts out slow. they claim to have streamlined it!? I also thought they reduced Fis dialog and made it so you could hit a button to make text appear?
either way, the controls are a bit jankier than I remember, but ultimately now that I'm on the surface, I hope I get back in the groove. SS was my favorite 3d zelda after wind waker
They did reduce her dialog. Now she only sometimes chimes in with dumb shit that is obvious to the player. In the original she showed up every 5 steps to explain everything.
Awww.. I saw the thing light up but didn't actually try it. Might want to keep an eye on the page or keep trying though - I swear I keep seeing it go in-stock there.
It's based off location. If no location near you has it in stock, it won't be available unfortunately.
I don't think so. I think it defaults to looking at location after the online stock runs out. I know none of the Best Buys around me have it but I keep seeing the button light up yellow from time to time.

Interesting. It shows 'Unavailable nearby' message for me and has no option to add to cart.

Yeah, that's what it is for me right now. It looks like it swaps to that after the online stock runs out though as I've seen it do that a few times. It will show "Add to cart" but a refresh later will change it to "Check nearby stores" which auto-changes to "Unavailable nearby" (as I assume it's checking in the background based on me being logged in)

You can press B during conversations to make all the text show up instead of using A to cycle like normal. After Skyloft, Fi only shows up at certain story points instead of constantly harassing you all the time. Also, you can use the - button to skip cutscenes. It's not perfect, but vastly improved over the Wii version.

pressing B doesn't do anything in my game
do I have to change a setting first?
or does it stop after skyloft? I literally touched down, saved, and took a break

I made a quick video of it in action, assuming you can see Twitter posts.
There are some cutscenes where you can't instant skip the text, but those are pretty much all timed ones where stuff is happening that's timed with it (like Zelda taking carefully timed opportunities to push you to your presumed death, or Ghirahim being creepy AF). So getting it all instantly would just leave it there the whole time anyway.
I think all the conversations you have outside of scripted cutscenes can be quick skipped.
Finished Skyward Sword, I totally forgot how the final boss fight played out and was kind of disappointed by it. Just reverting back to wildly swinging your sword, compared to the Ghirahim boss battles that focused carefully positioning strikes. I'll probably look up how to find the rest of the heart containers and maybe grind some materials a little before taking a break and starting a hero mode run later.
I know this is just me being silly, but I feel like the Hylian shield shouldn't exist yet. I went into the final battle with the upgraded wooden shield.

If you're the sort that looks for such explanations, the dragon being able to look through time to recreate battles means he could have looked forwards to find a super cool shield, then bought it back here.
The upgraded wooden shield is so durable, I can't imagine breaking it in any boss fight, so it's effectively the same as neither of the final bosses have fire-based attacks. It's the coolest looking shield in the game that doesn't require any time-traveling justifications for its inclusion. I've done the math, it's the best shield in Skyward Sword.

the real final boss is the the desert dragon's boss gauntlet
Here's a pro-tip: While you can't bring items into the gauntlet, you can use them beforehand. Drink a Guardian Potion+ right before and you'll be invincible through the first two and half fights or so.

I don't see an option, so it must just be a thing you can do. Maybe it only comes online after Skyloft? Not sure.

Yes, but functionally the Goddess Shield regenerates so fast as to be effectively unbreakable anyways iirc.
