Tempo mech priest is really good right now because 0 mana silence/mass dispel and you can just play a bunch of unpowered steambots/upgradeable framebots and make your opponent sweat because divine spirit inner fire is a thing
Turn 4 20/20 happens sometimes
So far I haven't been impressed. Lost turn 1 to Secret Hunter and Tempo Rogue. Seems like any meta-ish deck that curves out stands a pretty good chance against you. The deck is pretty low on draw/value so it seems really easy to run out of cards before you win.
i have never felt more fear in my life than a turn 4 0/9 taunt being slammed out
Really? So far people have had no trouble dealing with it. They either have some minions on board, to chop down the 0/9 to some unthreatening amount of health (or dead) without taking any damage, and then they get to develop more as well. Or they just, like, Deadly Shot it.

does anyone remember a video that was posted a few threads ago where some guy (I think he was actually talking about MTG) basically said the solution to most overly fancy combo decks and such was just "hit them in the face" or something similar? Short clip, kind of over the top/funny?

Yes, Wild has various schemes for infinite Citizen Snips. See also: Mechwarper + Summoning Portal. But Wild is a trash fire so such things are to be expected.
Nah, this Mech Priest deck just doesn't cut it against meta decks. Almost everything I've run into today either tempos better, removes big mechs with ease, out-values as Priest runs out of cards, etc. You name it, they've got an answer for it. This thing is just too unreliable and draw order dependent compared to the rest of the field.
I wonder if I should blow the 1,600 dust and try the zoo Priest that Trump was playing. I'm just afraid that will be a waste of dust for another T4 deck that also doesn't work when it doesn't draw the nuts or play against people playing nonsense.

I just won a losing game with arch villain raafaam. I had a bunch of bombs in my deck. 4 health and I had a 1/1 left on the board and his side was clear. I played arch villain raafaam and turned those bombs to legendary minions.
In hindsight that’s probably why he’s included in the deck meta to deal with bomb warriors.
The worst thing is trying to watch streamers do it and they get offered all the op treasures without fail, while i get the useless ones over and over again.

I got really hopeful when facing Khadgar, because he played Conjurer's Calling a couple times.
And the Khadgar AI doesn't understand how to use that card, either.
I'm just super positive a majority of the team thought that it was a removal card with a downside, but Khadgar came out in the same set so I don't get it.

Turns out being able to dodge the rng roll on a card you can cheat out on turn 3 is busted.
Like, playing it on a rabble or sea giant still works, but there’s always a chance it’s going to give you some 4-5 health duds. The mountain giant combo wouldn’t be worth running if there was a bad 12 mana card, but since they can’t make one of those without giving it a worthwhile discount mechanic, there probably never will be.
I was having a similar issue. Oddly enough my first win was with the Paladin (Standard hero power/basic deck). Nothing really gimmicky about the treasures were offered either. I think i had the +1/+1 passive, the +3/+3 all minions spell, and opponents minions cost 1 more.

i mean captured flag IS one of the best treasures available, sooooooooooo
“Twinspell
Destroy a minion. Summon 2 minions of the same Cost (up to 10) to replace it.”
Probably still too good, but it would remove the degenerate 8/8 or 7/8 only loop
Oh no my 8/8 got turned into a 12/12 and a 10/10 whatever shall I do? I suppose you could consider the 4/12s a whiff
Kinda hard to hit someone for 28-32 damage in a single if you have 4x 4/12’s, so yeah, that would be a nerf
Edit: you know, I think I was getting some of my 10-costs confused with the 9-costs. There used to be some really bad evolve pulls that you could fall into, like the 2/4 recruit a dragon. Making it limited to 10 probably doesn’t nerf it all that much (though it does make it more likely you don’t instantly die next turn).
I’ll revert to my previous stance of making it cost 4 or losing twinspell

Yeah there's only 2 4/12s and 8 other giant-sized minions, and even getting kalecgos isn't the end of the world since zero cost spells are always nice
I'm a little behind on the new solo adventure but last night I did the third part of Dalaran Heist and I felt bad for the AI.
I got Grimmer Patron that I then gave +2/+2 permanent from the bartender and later took a passive where your minions cost is halved. So Turn 1 5/5 that keeps multiplying. Totally OP.
I also ended up with 3 4 Mana Ragnaros too. It's a good thing those carts were in the way otherwise my board would have always been full.
I also got the ultimate combo where the AI played Milhouse on turn 4. I played Lyra on turn 5 with two mind blast already in hand. The play X spell quest was done very quickly.
The "matchmaking" this month has been astronomically shitty and maddening. Whatever I play, I just keep getting matched up against hard counters and nut draw bullshit.
I learned the hard way that throwing out your win condition on turn one might not be the smartest play. But I also reinforced what I already knew, which is that Lackeys are impossibly OP, especially when you get almost 10 EVIL Miscreants to play with.

She’s also pretty strong in the content.

I got offered Priest 5 times. There’s only so many times you can play that brawl before despair in humanity takes hold.
I put together discard quest warlock, think I was 7 cards in fatigue when I lost, some real bs

If you're thinking it's zero you've solved the riddle, congratulations.
Like the 'bomb' treasure is what? 50 damage? and its not enough.

Oh yeah, I also finished 33 daily quests, compared to the average of 12.9. So much lost gold...

?!
Uh, wow, that can't be right. 216 games? And not even that, won 216 games.
That's gotta be counting things like Tavern Brawl and Adventures, right? There's noooo way I played that many ladder games.
