Also, I was wrong about the classified assignments... way wrong.
They are side-mission length affairs with bosses, voiced narrative, matchmaking and uh... they are neat. the one I'm doing isn't just bare minimum-style, it's got a building and phases (as in encounters) too... I am surprised.
edit: It looks like they reset/can be played once every 48 hours (server time), I'd guess. The timer for the one I just finished is at 1d 6h 19m.

This is exactly what they said they would do. Exactly.
Large content packs with new game content and modes a la survival or underground free for everyone.
A few smaller story missions with cosmetic rewards for pass holders.
It is easily the most generous setup I have ever seen for an online game like this, and the fact that people are still complaining about it is utterly baffling to me.
I bought the Year One pass. I still have the card. But because I live in a different region from my PSN (and Ubi) account, the pass is invalid and Ubi support's answer was for me to re-buy it for the region of my account. I'm out $60 for literally nothing.

Bummer for me but I'm glad they put the work into them. Thanks for the report.
I'm a bit amazed that they went through the effort of creating crafting blueprints for all of the blue mods EXCEPT the gear mods that are currently causing balance issues, but then they left those mods in the game intact. They need to nuke those from orbit for any semblance of PvP balance, but they've been completely silent on it.
They weren't really for non-hardcore players. I mean, there were people that flawless'd the incursions.
The raid has an achievement for completing it with 8 players, so it can't be that bad. It'll get softened after it's been out a bit too, so there's also that.

I'd be down for trying the raid, I'm not in any clans at the moment though (does the "official" clan have space now?)
As someone who slammed his (and his 3 friends') head against Clear Sky for 4 hours before winning and not finding it much fun, I really hope this raid is enjoyable in more than a bullet-sponge enemy way.

I dunno their falling back on the destiny dodge of it being "too hard for a match made group" which probably means it'll be like incursions on steroids. So great for that hardcore fan, but leaves regular people in the have not category.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
I just dread spending the next few weeks seeing people cry hypocrisy because they said "matchmaking for everything" and now they aren't.
One of the incursions required 2 people to run shields to protect the whatever, then there's the other stuff. Cooldowns and the like being as they are, it would be harder to kind of stumble through via MM. Their historical encounter design for that content doesn't bode well for matchmaking... initially. But over time, it would be doable? IDK.
Also... you can kick people in The Division 2, much like in The Division 1, which makes me somewhat reluctant to be all "yeah, MM!" Even if it was there.
edit: also really not a fan of having that clan thing for the first completion in my instance of the White House. No thanks.

I don't think its hypocrisy I think its flat out lying. They said matchmaking for everything and now woops the raid the new PVE end game thing does not have it.

Given enough of a heads up (ie a day or so) I'd be down for trying the raid with the PC clan, but due to timezones (EU vs US etc) will need to do some IRL scheduling.

don't you know, they changed the bonus from 6% to 5%, so...
yeah, that changes nothing.
I am relatively convinced that there is a very clear design solution to this, and I can't understand why it wasn't what they chose. All mod slots should be generic. No mods should be generic. Your node-totals should be based on the type of mods you use (and your rolled attributes).
This would have kept balance (if you want +weapon damage, you need to have reds), and allowed way more ability to meet talent requirments (just add blue mods).

So getting generic blue lvl 19’ish mods still beats lvl 30 yellow mods by a landslide? Even after their much delayed balance patch?
Great.
The entire mod system is pointlessly convoluted and frustrating, same with the node ability system on gear.
Crafting is still largely pointless and might as well not exist.
A bunch of abilities are useless. (Shields, Pulse)
Mods should be nuked from orbit and redone. The system is a disaster, and there are so many cleaner solutions than what they've done.
Hot take, pulse is pretty decent with spotter now. If you're building x/x/7 for compensated, OTR, or whatever, you probably have a 30-40 sec cool down without any extra effort. A free 20% damage buff every 30 seconds is pretty nice.

Droprate on Merciless seem terrible.
Oh, apparently depending on difficulty its 1-3% chance. (normal, hard, challenge)

I defended this game a lot but everything they’re announcing about the raid is just turning me off.
As someone who has done hard MMO content in random groups - If it’s ‘too hard for matchmakers’ let them beat their head against the wall. Don’t gate them entirely.
Also, isn’t this what difficulty levels are for?

Wondering when people mostly play... at the time I play, like 9/10PM Pacific, there's usually only 3-4 people on
I took a little break last week, I was playing all the time but this is my last week of being off work, likely will be evenings once I am back at work. likely anytime between 7-12pm MST
I think I should be free this evening (post 7pm EDT). Need to chat with Mrs. Mittens first to make sure she's good to watch the baby for the likely 90+ minutes it takes to grind through.

Lucky. I bust my ass to complete projects and get things like Diceros Replica :bigfrown:
so many unnecessary double-clicks and weird mouse/key interactions are fixed, everything's now smooth and fast... it's great

I am totally up for the raid but between shifts and being in the UK time am not going to be able to find a slot till next Wednesday at least.
Tried the classified missions before a power cut hit me last night. Short but okay.
That totally sucks and means I’ll likely never get to experience it.
I’ve played every Destiny raid but could never find anyone that wanted to play any Incursion.

Time to release a raid apparently.
I’d rather they fixed all the other stuff first.

And only 3 missions can even drop it.

Complaining about it helps apparently.
Just picked up my Merciless from Grand Washington Hotel.
That's just for dropping the built gun. The parts have a much higher rate

Yeah I saw that, and you can get free boxes by watching the raid somehow?

Are people trying to try this out tonight?
Wow that's kinda cool. Didn't think they'd be so different from regular runs.
