Tom Clancy's [The Division] 2: The Division x Resident Evil Crossover Feb 2 - 15
Weird, I mean not to call you weird or anything, just ive never heard anything like that before. At least for games. Movies at higher frame rates definitely create the soap opera effect, but I’ve never heard of people feeling that way about games. For me playing 60fps makes going back to 30fps impossible, especially on FPS games, as it makes you feel like everything is stuttering and sluggish
Yeah... I dunno what to tell you. The amount of time it takes for me to start to just wander off into daydreaming while my character is on autopilot, or get hit with a strong urge to play something else is just lower at higher FPS. lol.
“I used to draw, hard to admit that I used to draw...”
when watching/playing content at higher frame rates, it's just not as engaging to me? The movement gives me the sensation of driving down a very long, very straight highway, not so much playing a game. This is particularly noticeable to me when I play FPS games.
I don't think it gets broing but a game like TD2 with so much fucking fidelity in the world can make me a little nauseous at times. I capped my framerate at 40 just because it is nowhere near stable at 3K and am totally fine with the way it looks.
I don't expect the Star Wars game to be an exact cover shooter clone of The Division, but I'm actually quite excited for what they'll come up with.
One thing I always loved that is in a lot of Star Wars games is a sense of sheer verticality, ie Nar Shaddaa levels in a bunch of games. Just these random gaping holes and gargantuan open rooms and stuff. Hope we get a lot of that, The Division doesn't have much of that apart from some occasional top-of-skyscraper action.

I’m also hoping for some vehicles, if not to drive yourself then at least to like fight against mechs and walkers and such. But yeah more environmental diversity and verticality would be great. I mean division still has great like buildings and overpasses and such, but you could really go nuts with Star Wars settings. Stuff like fighting on moving trains, on ships, etc
These armored cleaners, is there any way to skip whittling down their absurd amount of armor before I can actually damage them?
It's been forever and a day since I've played, but if you pop the canister on their back it will open them up to taking headshot damage, and if you pop the canister on their leg it should disable the flamethrower. Like almost every weakpoint destruction in the game, it should stun them temporarily while they recover.

In addition to the canisters, there is an actual method to destroying tank class enemy armor. if you pulse them, you will notice white cuboids on each section of armor (if you're up close). This is the section of armor that takes damage for destruction.
hen you see blue numbers, you're hitting the right spots and dealing damage to the armor. Just get the hang of hitting them in those spots first and then they just die quickly.
edit: the white blocks turn color to indicate how much hp they have left, redder = weaker.

“I used to draw, hard to admit that I used to draw...”
Swapping back to an assault turret really helped on these, it would draw their fire and then I could actually hit the tanks on the back. Appreciate the help.
First attempt at Keener had me so frustrated I had to turn the game off. That's an annoying fight
So the Keener fight solo is real dumb and the Keener fight with one other person is stupid easy, what a poorly designed encounter. It's such a shame too because they have a bunch of extra levers to tweak that fight with and they chose none of them.

Yeah I feel like this game is really pushing me to not go solo. Lots of enemies spawning in all directions and their pinpoint accuracy when you're not in cover drives me crazy.
I typically go with groups into missions when possible, only going in solo when matchmaking doesn't come up with anyone after a while like yesterday when I unlocked the Schafer Manhunt mission.

I don't think solo is bad at all but you do need to be fairly well geared to do stuff above Challenging. Heroic+ is definitely workable for me but I can't be bothered with it.
The first time you fight Keener? Yeah that's kind of butts because you'll probably be wearing a hodgepodge of stuff and leaning on your skills more to make up the gap and that doesn't work with him. Coming back later and mag dumping a Pestilence in his face or dropping him with a couple of shotgun blasts though? Priceless
I basically have two builds at the moment depending on the mood.
One is a heavy skill build where I get to spam cluster grenades a lot. I have all the items I need for it, now it just needs better rolls on said items.
The other is 4-piece True Patriot, Scorpio and Memento, with pewpew drone + Firewall shield, for getting up in people's personal space and applying shotgun to face. Complete opposite of the skill build playstyle. Really needs better stats/rolls on the gear, but I'm doing fine on Hard difficulty.
I forgot to unlock the backpack trophy for the last league event, pretty sure I got over 60/60... aren't you supposed to automatically receive the items if you don't pull them?

I think so yeah
Also, the white house vendor has Zero Fs for sale so grab a couple for crafting if you need em, I don't think the rolls are brilliant but still.
oh, double also, Echo, did you know there's a sweet exotic AR called Capacitor from the Summit challenges that you might like?
Yeah, Capacitor is pretty nice and helps fill in the gap that you may have with your guns being a tech wizard. I like it... but it's hard to not use the ultimate lazy gun Bullet King for all the things.
I don't need the bullets to hit, I just need people to not shoot at me while I slowly dissolve them with my technomancy.

Hmmm, my resident evil keys seem to be bugged. Up to shd level 6 and I still haven't gotten one, as far as I can tell. Nothing in my apparel tab and I don't see anything in my stash mail.
Hmm I sold my disc copy of this after I had done everything I was interested in for 10au$. Now it’s on sale for 15 digitally and I might get it again cos I wanna see what it’s like on the series x

Annnd just getting a few more shd levels seemed to fix it. All of a sudden had 2 keys available

Finished the manhunt...feels like there should've been a cutscene when going back to base but there wasn't one? Scorpio continues to be absolutely devastating against Rogues, it hardly seems fair.
Claire Redfield's jacket is fantastic and is going right into my main look
Exotics are so strange to me, last night I got 5 Chameleon drops going through the manhunt objectives.
Want to play co-op games? Feel free to hit me up!

Oh my patch number? yeah I might have a couple of challenges to hand in but I also have basically zero of the multiplayer ones, which is a huge chunk! Got the fancy gold eagle though, so thats the main thing

I've mostly played in a 2-3 player team with buddies, but all(?) of those seem to require a full team.
Are drops personal or shared? I just ran like 30 floors and I was grabbing every thing but then like halfway through I thought I saw a pile of loot change after a teammate ran past it and now I'm not sure if I was being a jerk taking everything.

P sure they are personal, if you want to share something good you can do so from your inventory though
Just bought the digital Xbox version of this on sale, because I sold my disc copy thinking I was done. But the prospect of series X shininess made me double dip. The environments in this series are so gorgeous
I like summit but I wish they had windows looking out onto New York. I know it would cost extra resources but it would prevent the mode from feeling so claustrophobic and visually indistinct

Division twitter tweets that there is more stuff coming for Division 2 this year, sooner rather than later, but no detail on what that is.
Unsurprising; the game honestly seems to be trucking along at a relaxed pace. If they put this on STEAM I imagine they'd get more traction but they must be fine with what the game is doing on UBI's bespoke - cough - launcher.

From the sounds of it Warlords did very well and the seasonal rewards tracks must have got a fair number of people to buy in as well so yeah, Massive must be fairly happy.
I wonder if Division 3:Long Division will be another stand alone or if it will bolt on to the existing game
Ended up dropping money for the year 1 thing simply because dakka and boom, and there was no way I was going to complete that grind before I burned out. Having to buy more funbux than I actually need is still a predatory system that needs to be banned.
All those Summit floors yesterday netted me a Capacitor with max rolls for damage to armor and damage to life, only like 7% percent AR damage though so it's gonna take a minute to work up those optimization mats.

They got a star wars license, so I assume it's gonna be Division 1313: Coruscant

Let's Play Final Fantasy 'II' (Ch10 - 5/17/10)
I am overwhelmed by the flood of messages.
PSN: Bizazedo
CFN: Bizazedo (I don't think I suck, add me).
