I'll take that sniper if it behaves like a D1 sniper
I think they should give it Final Round. It would be perfect because missed shots go right back in so you can't trigger it by mag dumping. You have to actually hit some people before you earn your 1-bodyshot-kill
New Crucible Pinnacle looks like a sniper, at least in the image.
Revoker - Missed shots are returned to the magazine after a short duration
Welp, I suppose we needed one pinnacle weapon I'd have a lackluster response to (although I suppose I didn't really use Lunas all that much even after hunting it for all of Season 4).
Ugh. The last thing Crucible needs is more sniping.
2 quests, escalusation protocol, an intro quest and a raid
sounds like a pretty small season
I thought that was the whole idea behind the Annual Pass? 9 months of content all spread out. At least it's got a raid and not just gambit, but faster(ish). ;-)
yeah i guess because they said this season was about 'secrets' i assumed there would be a new patrol area to find said secrets in.
I also assume the 6 man will be timed and timed and secrets are no bueno

LEVIATHAN SECRETS
Confront new challenges on an unexplored deck of Calus’s massive ship.
So ... maybe?
i feel like if there was a new patrol zone it would be bullet points #1, #2 and #3 in the press release so I think this is just a description of the environment that the menagerie takes place in

Alternatively, dump mag down to one at the start of the match and shoot a wall every time you get a regen. Now you have a final round sniper where you regenerate all the ammo you waste and don't have to reload.

How do you get to 1 if it adds ammo right back into the magazine when you miss? If this is based on the "after a short duration" then they should change it to be instant.
Whisper of the Worm (pre-nerf): Infinite ammo as long as you hit your shots
Revoker: Infinite ammo as long as you miss your shots
Yeah, after a short duration suggests to me that you have a few seconds at least before the rounds come back.
Of course instant could mean infinite sniper suppressive fire, which sounds like its own nightmare.

How about a modified Final Round perk then? One that doesn't trigger until you're at 1 ammo for X seconds where X is equal to the "short duration" of the modified Mulligan?

I feel like the final week of every season should be Bonus Infamy/Bonus Valor/Glory Loss Forgiveness. Give pinnacle chasers a chance to finish off their quests.

"pinnacle chasers" sounds so dirty and now I'm laughing at my desk
As someone who skipped last season and likely this one too. The season pass looks like it was insanely worth it for Pve players but pretty awful for PvP
Every season seems jam packed with Pve content. New modes and raids. New quests. Exotic quests. Seems great.
But as a mainly PvP player the only remotely PvP focuses thing for me are the pinnacle rewards
Bear in mind, Bungie pretty clearly thought that Gambit was gonna be that hot hot shit that brought all the PvP Gurus to the hybrid activity yard. So while agree that Crucible proper got the definite shaft, I do think Bungie thought they had you covered.
I will attempt a Day 1 pick up group of the first encounter, but beyond that will only be woe for a player like me.
Still even one blind encounter would be nice.

I don't think PvP has gotten new anything except pinnacle weapons since Forsaken dropped. There's barely even been balance changes. No new maps, no new armour, nothing.
To be fair though, Zavala has gotten zero new stuff either beyond pinnacle weapons. No new strikes, no new armour, nothing either.
There's like almost nothing going on without the season pass.
Many Luna's have howled, unfortunately most of them were doing so straight into my delicate facemeats and it was unfortunate.
It turns out I am very out of practice with Ace of Spades, and as such was getting out gunned by not only the incredibly well balanced Luna's but also by other luminaries of the meta such as Distant Relation and the occasional stiff breeze.
Eventually though perseverance and sheer skill carried the day, and by that I mean switching to my Headseeker/Rangefinder Claws of the Wolf and a Botheration (I have a god roll DRB, I just didn't use it because I'm a hipster piece of shit). Then this happened:
Not included are the two pretty nice Claws of the Wolf kills either side of this and my first (and let's be honest, definitely last) Ghost in the Night medal.
Everyone is different. Everyone is special.

Played some last night, odd night. Picked up 3 exotics in about 20-30 minutes, one from a random drop (Arbalest), the second from I can't remember where and the third from a crucible rank up.
get that raid done and dusted and announce what's next for the game.
This is around when they announced Forsaken as I remember, so it makes sense. We gonna get the D2 Y3 details and then all get impatient the whole summer waiting for them.
I thought D2 Y3 was going to be D3, or is that more of a D2 Y4 thing, which would be D1 Y6?
I'm pretty tired of all the stuff I've accumulated so I'm hoping I get to start fresh again.
Given the announcement says "the next chapter of Destiny 2" and not "of Destiny", it looks like all the rumours and leaks and such were true. D3 isn't till the year after.
Hopefully we can't something substantial for Y3.

I think there is a non-zero chance there simply isn't a D3.
I don't personally think it'll play out that way (hat eating and all), but I wouldn't be too surprised if they think D2 is more sustainable than another "start from scratch" D3, particularly in light of the move away from Activision.
I really want a D3 though, because I find a fresh reset now and then the way to keep things fresh rather than just ongoing forever accumulation of gear I never use. A reset evens things out and keeps things back to a sense of newness and wonder rather than the sort of refined expertise we have in D2.
I also want some lost players to come back, and feeling like they were 1 year behind with Forsaken was bad enough, but if there is never a D3 those people would never come back.

Ammo is definitely an issue on snipers if you aren't that good.
And I find the green ammo economy can actually be tight in round-based comp (ie - countdown, survival).

Also next week, you can get something like 12k infamy without even playing gambit, just doing the 4 world bounties on all 3 characters all 7 days.
