I'm just barely above you in silver. I played two games the other day.
First game I end up healing as Deckard. We won. I got thanked for my healing at the end by one of my teammates. I didn't realize that could still happen in a ranked match.
Second game I snag DW. We lose this one. I topped siege damage and had 0 deaths. However I did have the lowest hero damage, but was still 6/6 on kills/assists and that was the highest on our team with everyone else collectively with 8 kills. I wasn't in the team skirmishes where they needlessly fight in a lane without end and was mostly by myself in a lane or pushing lanes where they left trying to get pressure where I can. Also I had to be fairly safe in fights because if the enemy Malth jumped me I could be in trouble quick. End of the match our Morales is all "You suck as DW and never play him again." So at least this match cleared up any of those good feelings I had from the first one.
Edit: and this was of course Spider Queens and I felt like the only one on our team actually trying to turn in or stop the enemy from turning in.
SeGaTia: Why are they making balance changes to malganis without ever fixing a bug on winged guard that is most assuredly boosting his win rate. (I'm sure he was due for a nerf regardless, but still that bug has been live for months, how is that the data they use to make balance adjustments)

Was kinda pissed about his answer, basically get lost, when his answers for other questions are pretty in depth.
Charitable read is he misunderstood the question and just assumes it's why isn't the bug fixed yet, and those are separate teams, that's understandable.
Question was trying to ask how you weight data of a bug applying a buff when considering nerfs for a hero, but likely the nerfs are just kinda applied by feel and there isn't a high level answer.
Worse read on his comment would be mind boggling that a bug community has known since December escapes the lead balance designer who claims to spend part of every morning checking in on the community.
3rd take is he is hyper aware of what the subreddit complains about which is a guaranteed way to be a bad designer, whenever the bug is discussed there it moves off the front page quickly as no one wants to discuss how the bug works to prevent it being abused more; while "why is this hero uncounterable in QM" gets a hundred up votes

It does, the answer is "we made the nerfs first because we didn't know about the bug."
Yeah, I don't read the answer as dodging the question at all. Perhaps I am (also?) misreading the question. I read it as:
Q: "Why are you nerfing Mal'ganis when he has a bug still that makes him too strong?"
A: "We just found out about the bug too late to get the fix out before the nerfs."
Arguably they could have canceled the MG nerfs until they fixed the bug and then seen what happened, but that's not necessarily the best path forward.
Just sort of extrapolating, I'm guessing the balance team doesn't really think about bugs in the game and is just balancing the live game as is, since it's what they have to work with.
It's a reasonable approach, I do think it leads to heroes ping ponging around balance wise but proactive changes are better then wait and see imo.

In my experience with games, that's an absolutely terrible way to handle bugs if you want them to be fixed. It's just gonna result in the bug staying under the radar or on the back burner forever. You've gotta thrust the bugs into the spotlight and abuse the hell out of them if you want them to take priority and get fixed for the good of the game. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.

The level 1 talent, Winged Guard or something? That gives you physical armor. It's not super explainable, but decently easily doable, to get that to be permanent (it's not supposed to be permanent).
The infinite duration proc will happen when you trigger your w when being hit by multiple attacks.
So it's easy to have occur without even trying to abuse it. Also means traditional counters to block talents, like lucio, with lots of AAs to strip block charges actually make it easier for the bug to occur.
I've always thought Block talents should just act like Spell Shields, by reducing all AA damage for a duration. Make it toggleable as well.

The Block talent was always stacks (at least since late Alpha like TEG mentioned, which was when I also started playing). But back then you had no "4 attacks per second" characters so its value was more consistent.

This is a fair and reasonable interpretation. When you consider that the dev team didn't even know the bug existed, then it makes more sense that they approached the situation as a balance issue and made adjustments accordingly. It's like if you are trying to make a car more fuel efficient based on design specs without realizing that the real-world data you are receiving is due to the addition of a 200 lbs part that was added at the last minute, after the specs you have on hand were written up.
This goes back to my earlier point about their need for a more rigorous automated testing scheme. Having basic expected input/output testing would've made it very apparent that there was an issue with Mal'ganis that wasn't based on his designed kit...
Do people not play Zarya that often? I had overwatch as a daily and doomed with the healer support boardgame so I thought I would do QP for a game
But I was yelling at my team to stop running away when I shielded them I can do little with what energy I was getting

Solo lane Zarya in QM is underrated IMHO. Especially if the other team ignores you, then you just get free energy off of towers and start burning things down. She has insane DPS if she's left alone.

why do people have such a HARD TIME in this game learning how to do nothing. we took a bad fight, 2 people died, we see them going towards boss. fine. we'll let them have it and defend-- wait, no, why are lucio and orphea hanging nearby the boss? no, hey. no?? can you guys... can you just.... not be there? i spam ping retreats. i type out "just leave". someone ELSE on my team types out "let them have it we can defend."
no budging. artanis respawns and fucking JETS OVER THERE. and like you just HEAR the fucking lil cartoon cavalry horn tooting off as he's going. he ruuuuuns right up there and then tosses his blind out, Qs in and hits swap, lucio hits sound barrier, orphea drops her stun ult.
artanis instantly fucking vaporizes, orphea and lucio eat shit, and the enemy team barrels our keep over and fucking wins on the spot. and it's like, if you fucking morons literally just HUNG BACK AND DID NOTHING we'd still be in the game right now. why the fuck can't ANYONE do this. why does everyone HAVE to be the hero. what the fuck were you expecting running into a 4v5 when they have a goddamn whitemane and we only had one DPS over there. the fuck were you thinking???

I also enjoy when you can get yelled at for focusing tank, or not focusing healer. Like, you shouldn't focus tank and ideally, yeah you want to hit healer. But seriously, sometimes the only way to do that is to wade in past like 3 of their team, and then you just die because of it. That one irks me. Like, do you think I targeted the tank because I'm dumb? I did because for the moment he's the only thing I can actually hit that doesn't get me insta-killed. Plus if I'm not the one that's supposed to start the engage, what am I supposed to do really?

It was 100% stacks by the time Johanna came out, and I never remember it not being stacks as far back as (very) late alpha when I got in.
