SORRY, it's not a V2 but a V3m.

Hello all!

I need some information. I dropped my phone and even though the top little screen appears to be powered, it doesn't display anything anymore.

Opinions?

Dismantle it and check connections?

How do I crack it open?

Any ideas?

Thanks for any info you got! CHEERS!

I'd take it into a store if it's still under some kind of warranty if there is no visble damage and see if they will fix it/replace it.

If that doesn't happen I probably wouldn't spend any time or money fixing it. The CDMA Razr's are pretty horribly put together compared to the GSM Razr's when they were new. Actually pretty much all razrs built after the first year are horribly put together. I had an original one and while mine still worked perfectly, friends with more recent ones watched theirs crumble to bits.

    Thanks for the info.

Yeah, it is still under moto warranty, but I don't want to send it away for 6 weeks.

I will try the sprint store (they repair) but I was told it wasn't covered under my sprint warranty.

    I don't know.

If I push on the screen, it comes back (and often flickers). I am wondering if it's not just a connection.

Biggest problem is finding a torx screw driver small enough to dismantle it myself (I did find the schematics online).

The schematics are a trade secret. Stop asking for them here or I'll start handing out infractions. They cannot be distributed legally.

The only help you'll get is to try and convince them to do a warranty exchange. Besides that, you're on your own, because there's nothing else anyone can suggest here that isn't pretty much illegal one way or another.
