    So.

Does Araki Just fucking hate dogs or something?

On the contrary, what better way to show a person is evil than to show them killing a dog? It's the perfect writing device!

What kind of coffee does each JoJo drink

Jonathan drinks straight up black coffee
Joseph drinks espresso, like, a LOT (but only American coffee!!)
Jotaro drinks black coffee but secretly puts a LOT of sugar in it
Josuke drinks with as much cream and sugar in it as possible
    Giorno drinks, I dunno, frappucino?

    Giorno drinks tea.
    Nonono, Giorno drinks pee
    No, it was jellyfish.
no, the jellyfish tooth drank the pee, but the pee was still in the teacup.
    hey wait...

why didn't giorno just turn the pee into some delicious veggies or something...
too obvious, I think. He wanted to avoid showing off his power too early, and he wanted them to think he was a badass. Changing the tea would’ve made it super obvious what his power is, and he’d have been seen dodging Abbachio’s prank instead of taking it head-on.

Plus, this was early enough that Araki may have actually remembered that Gold Experience’s life-forms are supposed to reflect damage; the human digestive system does a lot of damage.

I like how the villains keep getting progressively more overpowered time powers and the heroes usually only have “does punch good” type abilities

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

Beyond Jotaro, the heroes kind of have weirder powers, while also being able to punch good (but not as good punch as Star Platinum).

    * Crazy Diamond first is said to heal things, but it’s more like “return it to a previous state”, which has weird applications.
    * Gold Experience adds life to stuff (side note; could he turbo-charge a hamon user?)
    * Stone Free turns Jolyne into string
    * Tusk is FINGERNAIL BULLETS
    * Soft and Wet steals concepts, like friction or memory.

Crazy Diamond can also heal things differently than they originally were, like what Josuke does to the bully in the first episode.

Crazy diamond just needs to touch things. Stone Free does stuff to Jolyne, Tusk is a Gun, and Soft and Wet emits bubbles to make the power work.

Gold Experience totally punches stuff to Lifefy them when it wants to, though it doesn’t need to.

    Golden Wind
The Notorious B.I.G. fight establishes that his powers only work by punching, so the fact that B.I.G. managed to sever both of his arms was a serious problem because he wouldn't be able to heal anyone

i don't remember if that was in the original Vento Aureo or if that line was new for the anime, but since the anime is usually faithful to a fault i'm assuming the former

I'm really excited for tomorrow's Crunchyroll episode of Part 5.
7 page mudamudamudamudamudamuda manga sequence will probably take up like, a full minute of the anime to beat up Cioccolatto.

i'm really curious how the rest of Golden Wind is gonna go

i think there's like 10 episodes left and thinking through what's left to do i have a hard time seeing how they could stretch it out that long

i would honestly suggest just skipping the Alessi episodes

they're fuckin' gross and do nothing to advance the plot in any way

I legit haven’t bought the comics in a while because the next volume in tbe collection would be the one with the Alessi fight in it. I’m not sure what I want to do there.

Yeah this might be the best option

If anything you can just watch the last, like, 5 minutes of the 2nd episode?

I was honestly really bored by the Oingo-Boingo/Monyatta Zendatta episodes. The art for the smaller one really threw me off, like "What am I supposed to be looking at here?"

avdol and kakyoin are just such nothing characters to me

avdol does nothing but spout exposition

kakyoin has a handful of good moments but 90% of the time he's just there to fail to accomplish anything with emerald splash

Avdol has one really great moment and if he was written the same way for the rest of the series, he would be the best character in Jojo.

Honestly a big problem with Stardust Crusaders' characters is that they typically have 1-2 cool things they do over the course of the entire series, and then after that they're basically useless until Jotaro punch good and solve the problem.

"stands are so weird and unique looking, I wonder where Araki got the idea for their look"

*Sees the first couple seconds of this music video by a band referenced in part 2*

    https://youtu.be/l6E-CYzqr_w

*Sees that this song came out two years after SDC started*

*Decides that time travel is the most likely explanation*

Is the reason why the antagonists stands always have time powers because Araki himself is a time traveler?!?

Because he thinks time powers are the most powerful potential powers and the end game boss should have the best powers.
