There's a Twitch clip of BaroTrauma posted above. I guess from the video, the game kinda seems like spooky underwater Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, but also there's either bad voice acting in the game or all the streamers in the party are all shouting at the same time.
You can have something like 10+ people in one game so there's been a few instances of several streamers grouping up and as you can imagine screaming like idiots to play it up for the audience.
The game looked interesting to me. But I couldn't watch the streamers playing it. Since they all kept screaming like idiots and playing it up for the audience. The third or fourth time their sub flooded, the whole affair lost its appeal to me.
Seeing a group go through and play it for serious would be much more my style. Either in full-roleplay mode or not. (full-roleplay preferred)
I have a 50% discount coupon for Frostpunk good until 6/11. I plan to eventually get the game, but likely not before this expires. If anyone wants it let me know.

I ahh, did not know you could give Coupon's away... I also have this coupon and don't plan on using it if anyone else wants it.
Also throwing it out there that its also on sale on GOG (40% off) currently which (for me, anyway) makes it slightly cheaper than on steam with the %50 off...
Thanks to you monsters hyping Void Bastards, I picked it up for myself on Friday. And proceeded to accomplish nothing else all weekend as prisoner after prisoner was rehydrated, charged forward into new derelicts, successfully collected a handful of items for the workbench, and died. This game really perfectly scratches the FTL itch for me, with a side order of just one more run which keeps turning "Oh, I'll just hop in for twenty minutes and do a quick run" into "When did it get to be 3am? Why am I still awake?"

The guys in the clip I posted were trying serious runs (they even shut off traitor mode). The first day they played was fully just fucking around, but the next couple days they were making real efforts to complete missions and see how deep they could go. There's a bunch of game critical bugs and features not in yet, plus little to no tutorial so there ends up being a lot of fuckups. Also several of them are hardcore RPers who love sims so I expect they will have a srs bsns run post-launch.
One guy actually survived that giant monster attack and he was swimming around fending off smaller monsters and making critical repairs to try to limp the sub back to base to complete the mission. He spent about 30 mins and was just about to get the sub moving and he DC'ed...
I hope the Summer Sale this year feels... bigger. Lately, a lot of the Steam sales have just felt like it's the same games on recycle & nothing ever seems to jump out as a must-buy, can't-miss deal. They used to seem a little more monumental.
Closer to Steampunk, trenches, balloons, biplanes, really gigantic guns, gas masks, even proto-Battleships!
There's a Batman, in a Steampunk setting, where he's pursuing Jack the Ripper. Gotham by Gaslight.
I always thought that there's a lot more room to be imaginative with video games than what a lot of publishers explore. It doesn't always have to be like the events actually played out in real life. Late 1800's Steampunk London is a cool idea for a setting.
That's probably why I'm such a big fan of Mad Max, come to think of it.

Maybe that's all in my head.
Have felt this way ever since they got rid of the flash deals.

Yeah, it's still cool. But it does feel like they've just sort of coasted. Part of me feels like there aren't as many games that are "must have" for me anymore too, which might be part of the thing. Still, Steam over all others, looking forward to the Summer Dale, there are always good things.

We're so jaded that 50% off isn't enough to pull the trigger.
I dont think its being jaded as much as being conditioned. If its 50% during a summer sale, it'll be 50% during the autumn/halloween/thanksgiving/winter sales so there's less impetus to buy it right now. Also we all have more games than can actually be completed already.
Many, many thanks to the always-classy dresdenphile for Ziggurat!
Hexen and Heretic were my jam back in the day.
This looks cooooooooooooooooooooool. Hope it goes on Dale, been looking for something fresh to play.
I'd be surprised if it doesn't hit at least the 60% off mark. It's a really good game too! I bought Immortal Redneck the other day and all it highlighted to me was how much better the combat is in Ziggurat

I have this coupon as well as 25% off for Void Bastards that is due to expire in a few hours if anyone wants them!

Did you get a coupon for it because you already own something else?

Yeah. I own System Shock 2 so I got a coupon for Void Bastards.
Though I just found out the coupon is not tradable for some reason. I guess I can't give it to anyone.
Do we know when the sale starts? I just finished my exams and so I'm in the market for some game I can sink some hours into now that I actually have them.

I play the Metagame of viewing my discovery queue and adding more games to the wishlist eternal.

Good news: Everything is currently 75% off on Steam.
EVERYBODY WANTS TO SIT IN THE BIG CHAIR, MEG!
This is also what I do. More so than actually play games anymore, it seems.

Am I doing it wrong? Because I'm pretty dang happy with having nabbed Slay the Spire for 50% of humble during their sale.
It should. It's pretty old now.
It's a great game, but hard as hell. I've never completed a single run.

It's on Dale at GOG right now! (70% off!)
It's in a bundle right now on Fanatical with 9 other games for 5 bucks.
