I confess I needed the art to really get what the card was going for but when I did I grinned so wide. I will so be saying "I cast Moistened Bint" in games.

Just because there isn’t an immediate deck for a card doesn’t mean it isn’t built for modern. Emry is an obviously powerful card in modern and someone figured out a turn two kill after a day with it spoiled.
arguably didn't even get a good two drop to replace adanto vanguard
The interaction between Feather and Adventures is curious (for Adventures that target your stuff, like Faerie Guidemother's). Since there are two different replacement effects trying to exile the spell, you get to choose which one you want to happen (thus making the other irrelevant).
So Feather got a couple of toys that are also creatures if you want them to be? Nothing backbreaking, of course, but something to consider.

While you're not wrong the rate on a lot of the cheap red/white adventures just really isn't good. Feather style decks are really looking for cards where they can exploit the efficiency of a card repeatedly, rather than the grindy card advantage of most adventures. In fact I think the best one in the deck would be Giant Slayer, which doesn't actually interact with Feather at all
This actually seems pretty relevant for EDH decks that want a third pair of boots or want all their creatures to be hasty.
this thing is going to hold the fort until i can get off my Faeburrow Elder + Gauntlets of Life magical christmasland of infinite non-white mana. Folio of fancy to draw my deck and a 2nd folio to mill my opponent seems the easiest thing to do with the mana. But if im already playing multicolored cards there's always happily ever after for the lulz.
Huh, I guess that's just up to people playing different types of commanders than I do. I like ones that get a lot of value from continuous existance as opposed to a strong impact when you activate/trigger their ability.
My friend is working on a roguelike game you can play if you want to. (It has free demo)
it depends; hexproof/shroud is always good, but a lot of commanders have those tap abilities you want to get online right away
Also in some cases a creature and/or defender is relevant; it lets Arcades decks do some disgusting alpha strikes for your jank builds, and for your slightly more competitive builds it lets Vannifar both immediately tap when she hits the table and you can use the bridge as part of her pod chain.
would any of the "draw your second card this turn" creatures proc if you play them with Great Henge out?
Yeah, they would have to be in play to get the 1/1 counter and draw a card, so the first creature you play with it should trigger it.
Edit: Also got 3rd at FNM with my jank ass simic flash monstrosity. got 2 packs for prize, instead opted to get 1 japanese WAR pack. Opened an alt art Karn, so i was happy about that. Then in my promo pack i got a Lyra, brontodon thing, and a legion's end. Very happy with all the playable stuff i got from prizes.

Yeah Maro has explicitly said on his tumblr that we'll only be getting the gods that play into the story in THEROS BEYOND DEATH, which I presume will focus primarily on Elspeth's escape from the underworld rather than a larger conflict on the plane

That’s interesting. My first thought would have been new versions of the main five. Hm Unless they really mess around it can’t be as black leaning as that would initially imply. Also this is probably going to be an extended riff off of the Persephone story right? I don’t know it too well so I’m not sure how that factors into things. My initial auto-includes would be Heliod, Erobos, and the BW god.

It's like when LSV pulled off the mythical "opponent attacks with entire board, target Assembled Alphas with Give No Ground, block everything" win.
What’s this about how they don’t print cards that effect modern in standard legal sets?

We still have Chandra's Triumph for all your non-face needs and some good Chandras floating about
And if you want to be generous, Fry
emry might go in urzafactory I guess?
there aren't very many modern decks that give a shit about brown and that card is way too slow and fair for legacy/vintage
once upon a time is a helluva card though

The age of lava coil bby
Also that cool lady that casts it for you when you draw a second card.

edit: oh, Lightning Greaves
Lightning Greaves and/or Swiftfoot Boots.
You need the haste to kill with blightsteel.

honestly looking at the format, 4 toughness seems like a very powerful point, so yeah
oloro laughs at you

You can wobble your creatures over the top of it

at least one god would not likely make a return...
I kinda hope he does manage to trick his way back into the pantheon. I can understand wizards not wanting to tackle that right away though.
Either way I expect we’ll see a new GR god eventually.
