I was thinking, we'll surely some electrónica groups have put out four solid albums but upon consideration perhaps not.

Röyksopp has three which is the highest

The dudes voice just does not match what he looks like in my head.

Spotify has started playing them in my daily lists. I enjoy it.

It's good stuff. Kind of in that old Southern spiritual and such. I like brass in music as well.

My normally listening breaks down into about 3 categories:

    1)Punk
    2)Acoustic folk/modern folk
3)Other which I would put this in. This is when my mix starts getting real weird and jumping genres a lot.

I’m struggling to think of a lot of musicians I like who put out four LPs period

There are a few that have at least four I like, tho. A good chunk with three.

No, there's plenty of people who don't like Vampire Weekend.

Be sure to checkout my Vampire Weekend cover band, VanHelsing Weekdays. We don't actually play any music, we just turn on the house lights, drive a stake through one their album covers, and run out the back.

The running isn't part of it, but people don't seem appreciate a good pun anymore.

Just via number Bad Religion has put out at least 4 good albums. I mean if you like Bad Religion.

The Empire Strikes First, True North, Stranger than Fiction, and The Process of Belief. Also Bad Religion can all be smashed into a play list and just sound like one continuous album and it is punk.

Do we have a doom patrol thread because oh my god I need one. Flex Mentallo!

    Flex showed up?

    !!!!!!!

You can do a free trial of the show and I HIGHLY recommend it. Easily the best DC live action I've seen aside from maybe like, The Dark Knight.
Flex Mentallo is hilarious so far.

That is extremely high praise for a Fantastic 4 knockoff!

    ....what?

How is Doom Patrol a Fantastic 4 knockoff?

If anything it's an X-Men knockoff.

wikipedia says Doom Patrol was around two months before X-Men #1 was printed.

oh well then i guess it's its own thing and isn't a knockoff at all my mistake

Well it's great either way, and not just because

    (Doom patrol show spoilers?)
I finally know what Jacobkosh's avatar is.

Though what the hell he's saying is still a mystery.

I don't know if Flex Mentallo showing up is a spoiler to anyone who knows what a "Flex Mentallo" is.

I read the comic and i don't even know whatever the fuck that is.

At the Drive-in had 3.5 good to great albums before imploding.

Most bands don't make it past two great albums before stagnating or becoming spotty.

Pearl Jam had two great albums amongst their first four which were all good.

Weezer had two great albums, took a break and then careened into the side of a bus.

deftones had three great albums and then their fourth was a turd. Breaking the mold, their sixth album was great after a mediocre fifth.

Hmm nothing else jumping to mind.

A big ol' truck blew past me on the right shoulder of the freeway, going probably 20 mph over the speed limit and nearly going off the road in their haste, black plumes of smoke periodically erupting from their exhaust. What I'm saying is, who knows when you'll die on your commute home, so here's a Bonsai Update™!

    Previous updates here.

I unwired one of my Blue Pacific junipers after a couple of months of it being wired and the wire was just barely cutting into it and it's gone all floppy, so I'll be leaving the other one wired longer and rewiring that one.

My elms are dying! I think. One of them has a disease or had its roots get damaged a bit too much, the other one got knocked down by one of the cats. A bunch of my maple seedlings also died; a quantity due to, again, said cat knocking their container down.

    ixop0fr30hfm.jpg

My pine seedlings are doing well, though! As is my little Japanese holly.

    re5mf96vhpaf.jpg

The Jacaranda mimisifolia is doing great, and the Delonix regia is recovering from having lost everything due to a sunburn.

    w416s6kaldzj.jpg

My lilac seedlings are looking well. A neighbor had dozens and dozens of them springing up next to their fence so I... acquired some.

    wcbi85gywpnl.jpg

The giant Spanish fir has new growth on it! Looks like maybe it's gonna survive.

    6bygcpug1l9d.jpg

My planter o' stuff in the back yard has a ton of things in it now. I subbed for the horticulture class today and we were tasked with providing free labor and weeding around the superintendent's building, and I got a bunch of little seedlings out of the deal, including a pine seedling that's gotta be about five years old and looks super cool.

    02oe2vehv158.jpg

The other stuff will have to wait for another update as I don't feel like taking pictures of it.
