Though I totally agree with you, I’ll point out they usually have someone else synth up music for the trailers. Haven’t confirmed that here, but it would be a departure from the norm if it was John Williams actually doing the music here.
Not sure if awesome? Like, there was a lot of awesome. And I want to watch Rey kick some ass. But that line from 3PO didn't feel great, a little on the nose. And I'm weirdly nervous. I thought TFA was awesome, I'm sure this will be too. And yet.
I particularly like that shot of the CR90 Corvette and who knew Star Destroyers had so much structural integrity.

Ticket purchased, thanks to my wife and kid having literally no interest in Star Wars, I was able to snag one of the last decent seats for opening night. I would’ve paid the $13.75 just to hear that score and the Luke/Leia “The Force will be with you ...always” from the trailer, so I figure the other hundred and some odd minutes of the picture is free.

"The Saga will End" gave me some serious feels.
Considering everything that needs to be wrapped up and that this movie is going to have to make not only this trilogy coherent but also make it coherent with the other two, this better be a 5 hour movie

But the movie is called “rise of skywalker” and if you remember both Luke’s and Anakins last name was ALSO skywalker and I don’t think that’s a coincidence

TFA trailer STILL gives me goosebumps, honestly it's one of the best trailers I've ever seen (I mean, probably not if you're not familiar with Star Wars, but that's not who its for)
Then again I think TFA is a fucking great movie that just has a few minor plot problems

Edit: Every Sunday from Dec 22 to Jan 16th AMC Theaters will be giving away 1 of 4 exclusive Dan Mumford prints. Regel Cinema is also doing something similar with a special collectors edition ticket.
Anyways, got my tickets for the fan event @ 5pm on the 19th at my local theater. Perfect seats as I was refreshing the page and bought them the moment they went up. It pays to be fast.

My prediction: Kylo Ren and Rey are going to magically merge into one person, Reylo, who travels back in time to kill Palpatine before he ever got into power. Future entries in the franchise will then focus on Anakin Skywalker, uncorrupted Jedi Jesus.
Seems like they are continuing to mine Legends canon for the good stuff. I approve.

Definitely not as popular locally as Endgame, I was able to grab perfect seats. I'm not expecting much but the opening night crowd tends to be fun.
