Yeah. I always figured Overwatch 2 would eventually be a thing. Only so far you can stretch the current tech and a big upgrade would be a way to get an influx of casual players back in and reset everything.
Only thing I wonder is how much will change and how much will stay the same.
I think they probably just want another $60 (on top of whatever they make off microtransactions for lootboxes) in exchange for continuing content updates. And, you know, fair enough, TF2 having a decade of free content additions was definitely exceptional in this business even if they weren't as frequent as Overwatch's.

TF2 also started outsourcing most of it to the community after a while. Plus IMO their monetization has always been a lot scummier than Overwatch's.

Overwatches problem is the community wants story content, and being a multiplayer game all they can really add through free updates are new maps, new heroes and the odd coop map.
It was bound to get either a sequel or a big paid expansion to add the story content the community has been screaming for.
I’ve heard that OW2 is supposed to have a bigger focus on PvE, which I would dig. Most of they’re PvE events have been pretty cool, so building a new game around that stuff peaks my blinders.
I feel like OW2 ramping up is also a way for them to get more money cause they are afraid of the impending lootbox legislation

The lootbox situation is so great. I can imagine publisher meetings just being endless ‘fucking EA went too far!’ complaints while they try to figure out some new monetisation.
I’m pretty sure it was in a rumors section. I’ll see if I can dig it out.
Although now I think I may have confused it with ADVENT (although now I dont see that anywhere either. Gonna spend all day looking at google images - I can picture the screenshots!)
Maybe Ghost was in an Xbox magazine...

It's an rpg, it just uses the first person perspective.
Think closer to Deus Ex than Call of Duty.
Or calling Skyrim an FPS because you can shoot a bow.
okay, so... "first person action RPG"
Don't give me a character creator, snazzy outfits and then lock me in first person!
I had this problem with Rage 2s pre order bonus, a set of armour. The only time you ever see it is when you’re riding a bike or hover bike.
Also why I’m not thrilled about VtM Bloodlines. Fashion is important in an RPG but only if you can see it.
This and VtM would be very different than Rage in that there is actual equipment. And besides and in-game cinematic moments you will see your character every time you go to the character menu. I agree it was very silly in Rage to have even bothered. But these are games where you will fiddle with your character a lot and therefore continuously see what you have them looking like.
Also for the other person that asked they did say before that there would be tattoos.

I can definitely remember seeing a preview Starcraft Ghost...an extremely early first look kind of preview...in the Xbox Official Magazine many years ago. I doubt it was exclusive to that either.

I remember the Ghost feature in OXM back in the day. That's probably where I got the "Xbox exclusive" idea from. Looks like it was multiplatform, initially Xbox & PS2 with GameCube added later.
I saw a later version running on the GC at E3 2005, but, to my lasting regret, didn't play it. Wish I had (even though it didn't look nearly as good by then, I just wish I could say I played it).

When he said "biggest" I was like woah. I mean it makes sense but just imagining something with even more content than DOS2 is like dang... yes please. I'll take it. Give me that 150+ hours game.
Someone (I think in the Xbox Thread) declared, "Legend of Zelda: BOTW in 4K with HDR!" in response to speculation that Shigero Miyamoto might be the MS Keynote's surprise guest.
Personally, I'd prefer Horizon Zero Dawn on Xbox One X, all things remaining the same, but that's not the point. Aside from XCloud/Xbox games streaming to Switch, etc., and all the intriguing (if unlikely) possibilities of that...I'd really love to see Super Mario Odyssey get a 4K/HDR/60 FPS treatment on XB1X. There's nothing to suggest it wouldn't be technically possible (they might need to reduce antialiasing/texture filtering a bit). I don't play games on the go personally.
But even more so than that...between original Xbox support, and a few hundred Xbox 360 titles to choose from, that console has replaced my PC has my preferred "way back retro gaming" machine. There are +100 Neo Geo games available via the ACA Catalog distributed by Hamster (I'm sure these are on Playstation 4 as well...though you can't play KOF XIII on PS4, only XIV). I would give Nintendo a lot of money to buy their classic releases on a console with the confidence that it'd be carried onto the next Xbox the same way those Neo Geo titles are.
Which is probably why it's not going to happen. I don't think you can buy Super Mario Brothers 3 on the Switch yet, or can you? But it's as nice dream.
Yeah, I don't see Nintendo just porting over their 1st party titles to Xbox or anyone else. It makes a lot more sense for them to continue to play nice with 3rd parties (cross-play, licensing their IPs for others to use (that Zelda rhythm game thing), etc.). If there's any real relationship with Xbox, it won't be anything that would dilute the Switch as the only place to play actual Nintendo games.

Probably not. And frankly, there are more than enough technological obstacles alone to keep XBox's library from streaming to the Switch for quite a while. I wouldn't be optimistic about XCloud on platforms with better network capabilities, much less the Switch even when docked--without proper portable support, it becomes a "why bother" question, given the reputation of Switch's wifi presently. Microsoft's had a long, slow road with game streaming up till now since they showed it off in the Xbox 360.
So what time does the Sony conference start? I’m ready for them to blast me full in the face with their awesomesauce.
Uh, it doesn't. There isn't one.

I'd actually heard about that, which is cool, but it was more a question, "Is there a actual classic NES/SNES marketplace on Switch?" like how there's now a Neo Geo library on the Xbox Marketplace (and PSN Store, and the Windows 10 store)...on top of how you could previously play those games (Xbox 360 BC, etc.).
I know there was a very high demand for it, and while it's cool they come as a bonus to the subscription (I've heard with some online multiplayer support?) it's not the same thing (it doesn't sound like the same arrangement will continue onto the next Nintendo console, for example).
So ninja theory's new game got leaked. I won't post anything because it's a shitty trailer with no sound and leaks suck, but it's literally the first game since killer instinct that makes me wish I had an xbone. Hopefully it'll also be on pc.

I have a Sega Dreamcast magazine with a preview of Ghost in it.
Are you sure? The game wasn't announced until over a year after the Dreamcast was discontinued, unless I'm misinformed.
