I feel like in the current political climate naming your restaurant for the ultra rich after Louis is a bad look, even if you named it after the "good" Louis
I now have a very great desire to make a fiend pact warlock with that theme
Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if Labor had not first existed. Labor is superior to capital, and deserves much the higher consideration. - Lincoln

I mean, it's literally located in Monaco, a Princedom mainly known for Formula 1 races and where billionaires have their summer homes
considering a meal would cost an average of 300 euros and that this three Michelin star restaurant is located in an exclusive luxury hotel, I'm guessing they're not too concerned about losing their mass appeal
One thing about Warlocks that's easy to miss is that their spell slots recharge after a short resr, not long. So in most situations, they can burn all of their slots every enclunter.
That said, I still miss the 3rd ed warlock. They obviously saw it as popular but they never really seemed to get the appeal, crunch-wise.
This is why warlock paladin is the absurd overpowered combination.
Smite everything every encounter then rest for an hour and smite everything the next encounter too.
If multiclassing isn't your bag you can also take Pact of the Tome and nab Eldritch Smite as one of your extra cantrips, and take the invocation that gives you unlimited Mage Armor on yourself.
AGC update - Computer works, now they are getting the simulated rope memory (Something like the ACG's development flash ROM) working...

It looks like the end result is they are going to get actual Apollo flight ROMs from a museum and dump them using their AGC.

I can't offhand think of a lore reason why a warlock paladin would be allowable

Celestial Warlock and/or the Warlock is telling both their god and their pact holder that they're playing the other. Characterize them as dumb as shit and obviously in way over their head on the whole contracts to higher powers thing.

Paladin because they believe in honor and justice, Warlock because they found a sweet mace that promised them wicked sick eldritch smites in exchange for getting to bash heretics.*
*heretics may be defined very loosely and incongruously with the Paladin thing
5th ed paladin can be whatever you want them to be. Just have to be following an oath. Nothing says that oath can't be to an unknowable sludge monster who lives in the space between spaces.

What is the difference between that and a warlock?
I guess state of mind would work.
Now I want a cleric who thinks he is a warlock. "It's not like I worship you or anything. Baka!"

I think at lower levels at least a warlock has had real tangible contact with their patron and made a deal with them and a paladin is just a follower and hasn't necessarily had their faith confirmed.
A longer one from Sterling this week, going into the human cost behind modern games monetisation.
Hard to "Awesome" this one, because it's actually pretty sad. And maddening.
as someone very vulnerable to these sorts of behaviors video games are very hard to be around these days. i am thankfully just enough shame motivated by going over my budgets that it ends up not bankrupting me or anything (yet i suppose), but it's certainly something that i always wrestle with and makes me feel terrible on the regular.
it's so scary seeing how good the game industry is getting at exploiting people.

This is a very very good, very very relevant video that people should watch.
But if all the times he should've dropped the branding, this was it. "Thank God for me" is just such a clunker of a line after the harrowing previous 33 minutes.
I am thankful I seem resistant to most game monetization beyond just paying for a game or subscription because I love grinding in non-FTP RPGs so some FTP RPGs would destroy me if they did not quickly get to the point where grinding was difficult or had to wait for a certain event at a certain time.

I don't understand why Sterling expects the video game industry to be any different than every other industry. They are all out to get us.
This video had a whole lot of 'old man yells at clouds' in it.

Because the entire world is garbage we shouldn't complain about it? What?

If you recall that Mystical Ninja LP from a few pages back... it's gone wrong. It's all gone wrong. In a pretty hilarious way.

Is this real? Because every foreseeable outcome is going to make me sad.
But also that's absolutely a discussion the two of them have had before in front of microphones.
