So, getting out of line of sight helped me. Got a spell. Went to the village. NOW
I found the finger maiden set, and I basically am a warrior nun for the Two Fingers. All hail the Two Fingers of Gold, and death to the sycophants of the Three Fingers. I am the Finger Maiden, bow before me and perish!
Also I'm looking at that Reddit video player's RGB bars and they're all massive. This guy must be like level 200 or something

i'm like level 30. i wonder how many levels i'm down by just constantly losing about 1k souls from deaths i don't recover. the level cost ramps up so fast it's hard for me to get like 5k at once right now so it's like one level per sideboss area i clear out and it's only gonna keep going up
Okay so if you're a sucker for soundtracks like me and bought the deluxe edition you don't actually have to use the app every time you want to listen to it. Open the app, go to the soundtrack and click the download icon on the bottom right.
It'll export the soundtrack to a place of your choosing. You cannot export the art book in the same way.
Word of warning the app is a bit janky and you might have to force close it or steam after you're done.

The checkpoint system here is what makes the game work. The organic spread your checkpoint network across the map is so satisfying. The game is always inviting/daring you to add a new node to the web. Good design!
fuck fuck fuck. I can get him to half health sometimes, but that's with the assistance of my summon army. After that it's a whole different story. And I can't seem to summon anyone here, not even with the summoning pool right there.

Yeah that combined with bosses having a literal check point outside of their room in difficult areas rewards exploration and perserverence.
Like imagine the nightmare of Stormveil if you had one or two bon fires for the entire zone.

That's fucking ridiculous. INT doesn't scale damage that much even, does it? It's just purely the benchmark to be able to use various spells?

I am level like, 43, using Rock Sling and if I get all three to hit, it's ~500 damage; if they crit/headshot I've hit 1k. Now to be fair, I'm also using an S scaling staff that also buffs gravity spells, but uh, yeah that's with like 25 int. I hit 60-70 with the "throw a fuckin' moon at you son" spell, I expect shit to melt.
