We’re watching early Sopranos and I forgot that they got Scorsese in for a three second cameo and I definitely forgot they use him for the inspired joke that Christopher shouts to him “Kundun! I liked it!”
I wish that PlutoTV had a paid tier that reduced advertising. I'd gladly give them $5 a month to only have to see like 2 ads per half hour or whatever instead of their current rate.
It is so close to being a perfect distillation of what I want out of cable.

My favorite running joke in The Sopranos is how obsessed Christopher is with movies while not understanding anything about them

The speed at which they establish characters is so fuckin' impressive
i immediately knew them all. everything about the nail crew and roller felt so lived in and blended with these dope performances and i felt like it was season five of a show i watched for years.
which is doubly impressive considering it had to untrain the typecasting in yer brain regsrding niecy nash and judy reyes.
I had this roommate who would watch the two-hour Comedy Central block of Scrubs, every afternoon, five days a week. Never missed it. That's 20 episodes of Scrubs, every week.
I've been exposed to the entirety of Scrubs, at minimum, four times.
Quiet Ann is such an immediately indelible character that she burned out hundreds of hours of preconceptions
So Netflix had already revealed that the voice talent in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance was stacked, but they revealed some additional voice actors today:
Lena Headley as a Gelfling warrior named Maudra Fara
Awkwafina as a Skeksis named The Collector
Sigourney Weaver as a character named The Myth-Speaker
Benedict Wong as a Skeksis named The General
Hannah John-Kamen as a character named Naia
Dave Goelz as a character named Baffi
virginia angrily heelie-ing out of a nail salon is everything i ever wanted in life
why did i fall off this show two years ago
claws is god
Virginia is one of my all-time favorite "trouble friend" characters
She hits that rare, perfect blend of surprising and inevitable. "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT" and "Of COURSE you'd do that" in exactly equal measure.
Unrelated edit, because now I'm back to watching Claws: GodDANG is the costuming on this show incredible. I know I've mentioned it before, but it's seriously so fuckin' bonkers good
my twitter feed this evening is entirely mark hamill and adam scott swapping memes of themselves in order to dunk on Mitch McConnell and it's one of those moments which just make you sit back and think 'living in the future is weird'.

So did anyone actually watch Too Old Do Die Young?
It's out and amazon says I can watch the episodes. But I have seen virtually no reviews for it and amazon itself seems to be actively hiding it away from view.
It sickens me that there is no available youtube clip of the djinn making that one guys skeleton come to life as an angry screaming skeleton while it is still inside his integument
And this is how I learned a new word today. Thank you!
No those are Pagemasters trapping people in books. Wishmasters make you break your own back and stick your head up your b hole

For some reason I was thinking about the finale of Adventure Time.
Man that was a good show, and right now I can't remember a show finale that had me go through so many emotions.
I love that Adventure Time so often swung for the fences on the human condition and philosophical points and nailed it so often. I also really wish they'd do a complete series Blu-ray set, but Cartoon Network started being a shit about the series years ago, so who knows if they ever will.
It would seem to me that if your plan requires someone to make all three wishes you should fulfill the first two with a minimum of ironically horrible punishments so they will be less inclined to fight you on that third one

I ended up buying the Australian blu-ray versions of the final few seasons on eBay. It's labelled as Region B but is actually region-free

The sets, costumes, races, monsters, and combat are all too much to capture on a TV budget.
